Lovely location, lovely grounds. Lovely staff. Nice steam, sauna and swimming pool. We stayed for two nights cost just over £200. Breakfast included. I think dinner should be included for that price.

My only objection is that this hotel is a per friendly one which means you can bring your dog to stay with you in your room and to the restaurant. I was uncomfortable with this as there was an incident with two dogs during breakfast which made everyone in the restaurant uncomfortable. I think allowing pets should have its limits. To allow a dog to come to a breakfast area, personally for me this policy is completely unacceptable. I think they should review this accordingly.

Nice hotel with very good facilities. All staff were very friendly and helpful and really seemed to enjoy their work and interacting with the guests. Staff were also superb when I suffered a life threatening allergic reaction which necessitated the calling of an ambulance and my being taken to hospital for treatment.

We were in the rooms in the newer part of the hotel and we were disturbed on all nights of our stay by the noise from neighbouring rooms. There did not seem to be a great deal of soundproofing between rooms. Also the hotel was a little larger and therefore not as intimate as I had hoped (but this is my bad for not researching more thoroughly).

The location is lovely. Our room was a king Deluxe where we requested a bath. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a large, comfy bed. The Spa and swimming pool was lovely and enjoyable. All the staff members were lovely and accommodating. Breakfast was good and the food in the evening was outstanding

The bath was not a standard size, so you could not relax in it which was disappointing. Harry's bar was very noisy when we wanted a quiet, relaxed evening for a meal; we didn't realise it hosted conferences and that this was the only Bar / Restaurant that we could use on-site. Guests who attended these conferences did have access to other areas of the Hotel, we felt that the Hotel was more equipped for this. We assumed there would be some quieter areas to sit if you were a couple looking for a relaxing time which was mentioned on the Hotels website

This was a lovely getaway and highly recommend. I would definitely revisit - it was quiet, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the king room and it was very clean and cosy. Found the bed very comfortable and they don't rush to stop breakfast at their set times which is nice.

- receptionist was robotic - breakfast was quite limited - soap dispensers didn't work too well - spa can get quite crowded - you can only control the temperature of the heating when it's on, there's no way to turn it on if you're cold. I think it's centrally controlled. We did get cold at night.

We had a Deluxe Twin Room which was the perfect size, comfortable beds, beautifully decorated and with everything we could need. Lovely modern en-suite bathroom too. The food was excellent both in Harry’s Bar and also breakfast in 1911. Service simply could not be faulted, from the minute we arrived to when we left. All staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being over the top! We literally couldn’t fault anyone but would like to say that Pria on Reception and Mo in Harry’s Bar stood out as worthy of particular praise ☺️ The Spa was good too with friendly attentive staff and the Spa Garden looked lovely to use in better weather! The grounds were lovely and well maintained, with additional longer walks easily accessible from the hotel. Overall, we had a wonderful 2 night break … exactly what we wanted! Some peace, pampering and good food and drink. Thank you to you all!

The only negative was the first night our neighbours kept us awake until the early hours with their TV and conversation that could easily be heard. However, the hotel staff sorted this quickly for the remainder of our stay ☺️

Stunning location if a little out of the way. Beautiful grounds. Decent breakfast but could be better for a hotel of this quality. Lovely big comfortable bed in a spotlessly clean room. We had a king size room which was located at the back of the hotel. The Stable Rooms are closer to the reception area. Good shower with toiletries. Chic restaurant with a varied menu. I like their ethical approach - key cards and door signs for cleaning are wooden and they donate to Crisis.

Swimming pool/spa and the gym are separate. Would be better if located together. Hotel is like a maze and we kept getting lost going from one to the other. Pool a little small but ok when we were there, it wasn't too busy. Breakfast was adequate but no porridge. No gluten-free bread available (but I didn't ask if they had any.) Not enough gluten-free options on the restaurant menu, so this made it limited for me. Drinks very expensive.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The deluxe room was warm and comfortable. It is interesting looking inside the Manor House and walking around the gardens. I liked the hotel's connection with Crisis... donating to the charity when costs are saved. Availability of freshly cooked porridge and quality coffee for breakfast as the outside temperature was sub-zero. Good food and service in Harry's Bar.

On quieter mornings the buffet cooked breakfast was warm rather than hot. More fresh fruit, such as bananas and apples, at breakfast would be good. Some noise from other guests in the corridors very late evening.

Lovely food at the hotel. Dinner and breakfast very nice. Grounds were very nice. The old part of the hotel was a lovely venue for wedding. Staff very helpful. Lovely staff in dining room particularly.

Rooms small and too hot. No aircon. Furniture very basic and wardrobe too small. Bedroom noisy from people walking past. Doors not well soundproofed so we could even hear what they were saying even though they were not talking loudly. Beds quite comfortable but only double size which was a problem with it being too warm. Probably more suitable for single occupancy. We have had much nicer and larger rooms at Premier Inns. The rooms seemed expensive given their basic nature.

it was such a beautiful hotel with stunning grounds and such good value for money. the staff was beyond lovely and the spa facilities were also lush. would highly highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break!

The overall location was excellent a real country gem . Breakfast room and buffet breakfast presentation was simply excellent the best uk hotel breakfast we have had by far. Room for one night was comfortable if a slightly quirky positioning (145) .No other room to the left or right. Facilities I.e the spa looked amazing but truthfully we were too tired to use them so opted to relax in our room . Decor and overall presentation was excellent. If we are ever in the area again touring then we would stay in a heartbeat.

A really strange comment but finding our room was confusing. Although the sign posting was very clear we struggled to go the most direct route from the main hotel reception and facilities. I think it was because there are just so many rooms on varying levels and we may have been fatigued . Not really a dislike because we laughed about it more a bit irritating to not go the same route twice.
