A really beautiful hotel with fantastic, friendly, welcoming staff. It looks just like something out of a picture book. We had the fortune to have both diner and breakfast during our stay and the food was outstanding. The room was really quiet and a good size (we were in the library room, complete with a slew of books!).

A slightly bouncy mattress.... this is really only nit-picking as there is very little not to like! The only other thing we didn't like was that we were only there the one night, we would have loved to have stayed for longer.

Lovely stunning building, staff were we warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them whether it was early morning for breakfast or late nightcap in the bar before bed. Adam was very friendly, there was also a lovely friendly lady. We stayed for 2 nights the breakfast was delicious and it was clear used great quality choice of ingredients for the cooked breakfast we had both days. Proper cafetiere coffee.

Room was comfy however dropped one point as TV was very small and couldn't see the TV from the bed and wires too short to pull it any closer. Also we both woke up on the 2nd night cold as the temperature had dropped off outside. Would have been ideal if there was a blanket or thicker duvet In a dust prevention zipped bag etc, in the lovely big wardrobe just encase. But apart from that was a lovely nice stay and would 100% recommend

As we entered the foyer of the hotel..We were met by a lovely hot glowing fiřë! A lovely touch. Then the welcoming smiling faces of Alex and his Mum... the owners of the hotel ... Alex showed us to our room where I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it! Bed was lovely and comfy ... We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious!! I'd highly recommend the salmon on a bed of beans. And the sticky toffee pudding! We had a lovely 2 night stay in this friendly relaxed beautiful castle in the countryside x ⁹

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. On arrival we were made to feel really welcome. The room was enormous, bed also enormous with wonderful crisp bedding. The spacious ensuite had lovely thick fluffy towels and very nice toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, great selection with quick, friendly service. All in all this was a really great place to stay and we would absolutely recommend staying here. It is a short walk walk from The Petite Chateau so ideal if your attending an event there.

Water pressure in the shower was low

Beautiful building in a beautiful location with such warm, friendly, efficient customer service. It's a family run hotel and we felt very at home with such a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after.

The room was large and beautiful. The only thing I'd perhaps change was the bathroom which was a little tired with a small bath and the shower wasn't quite perfect, but overall it was a lovely place to stay and I'd happily return.

Otterburn Castle has got to be one of the best, if not the BEST dog-friendly hotel. Service was faultless, food was delicious and fresh. The front garden is delightful, and a morning/evening stroll around the ground is refreshing.

Either the shaver point in the bathroom wasn't working, or it is too high up for a secure connection :-( so, bring along an adapter to use one of the main sockets, just in case ;-)

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Ellie made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. Ivan was very knowledgeable about the area and how to get to various places. The grounds were delightful and it was lovely to hear about their work with local conservation groups.

The only drawback for us was the dated plumbing. Our bathroom would benefit from some updating. Having said that, we would not hesitate to return to Otterburn Castle.

Otterburn Castle is absolutely unique. It successfully combines the grandeur of this historic building with the comfort of a boutique country house hotel. We stayed for 2 nights in room 1 which is extremely spacious, has considerable character and a large en suite bathroom. The owner Elena and her son, Alex are extremely hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed for dinner both nights which was delicious as was the excellent breakfasts. We will definitely return whenever we’re in the area again.

Nothing !

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We took our grandchild with us but had booked a double room as Booking.com only had an option of a family room for an extra £80. As we were taking our own travel cot this wasn't necessary. The reception staff were so good about this and made a fuss of our grandchild. We offered to pay for her breakfast but they wouldn't hear of it; said she could have whatever she wanted. The room was spacious and the bed comfy. The bathroom had nice toiletries. Breakfast was delicious. A good selection of cereals, juices etc and the cooked breakfast very enjoyable. The hotel is quirky set in lovely grounds. We'd stayed as attending a wedding close by so didn't get to try the restaurant unfortunately. The surrounding countryside was beautiful. A very pleasant stay.

Couldn't fault anything.

This is a family run business and a family that care about their guests. Ellie and her son Alex were so welcoming and made us feel like one of the family. The castle is absolutely stunning and has so much character and charm. The food was outstanding, amazing menu choices, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The room is spacious and has everything you need and the bed was super comfy. We are already planning our next visit as this place is absolute perfection 👌

Absolutely nothing, cannot fault anything.
