Pleasant and spacious single room with ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and shower over. As I prefer a bath to a shower, it suited me admirably. Everything was clean and good. I did not eat at the hotel, as I was visiting family in the area, and so cannot comment on the food. Free parking is available.

Whilst the price was reasonable, it wasn't great for a single room only. Surely breakfast could have been included? The fire alarm went off at 4.23am on the Sunday morning, and there was obviously no fire, and presumably it was a false alarm, which is not good enough.

Staff were so pleasant and welcoming, very helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Room was clean, spacious and quite, I was in a corridor room and was surprised what good value for money this room was as was their cheapest room, but you wouldn’t have known! Great location too for the high street. Oh and a really tasty freshly prepared breakfast in the morning included in the price.

Nothing, everything was wonderful from start to finish and will happy stay here again when attending the races.

We only had porridge with fruit as this is our usual starter for a day, fruit selection was good & porridge was excellent. Room was enormous & to a very good clean standard ( sofa & chairs need a little stain removal) aircon is good, shower is excellent. Room view was a car park area & outbuildings, did not detract our stay. Staff are cheerful ( we know what hospitality is like as we were in it for yrs, & it’s a hard game) Would definitely book again & would recommend.

The corridor between the lift & our room was absolutely freezing as most of it is glass.

Has its own parking and a lift. We ordered food in to be delivered to the hotel, as the restaurant was closed for refurbishment, and when it arrived the receptionist asked if we wanted plates etc. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The fact that the restaurant was closed for refurbishment but when I booked through booking.com they didn’t disclose this. When we booked into the hotel the receptionist said it would be like a continental breakfast in a bag! My husband wouldn’t eat this so I asked for the 3 breakfasts to be taken off the bill which they were, without question.

Friendly helpful staff at reception. The hotel was close to Newmarket Main Street with access to bars and restaurants only a short walk away. The bedroom itself was fairly large with large en-suite facilities accessible via a connecting door. The bedroom contained a wall mounted tv, telephone and Kingsize bed , there is small safe situated in the wardrobe to safely secure valuables if required.

Noise levels from adjoining rooms especially late at night can wake you up. I stayed over the weekend and the noise levels can be a problem from late night revellers. The costs of meals within the hotel are quite high, because of this I ate all of my meals in the local pubs on the high street where the cost was far cheaper. All in all given its location and facilities I would recommend this hotel for adults to stay but not children due to the noise at night factor.

For an economy room it was better than I expected. The room was a lovely size & the bathroom was too. It had everything I needed. The tea/coffee facilities were much appreciated and also the provision of takeaway cups is a great idea. We did eat in the hotel on Saturday evening and the meal was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant wasn't open on the Friday and we hadn't realised it was a Christmas light switch on so it was really busy but we did eventually find somewhere with vacancies to eat in Newmarket.

Parking was close to the hotel and easy for disabled access to the hotel, there was a ramp to allow me to push my trolley into the reception and a I loved the COVID precautions with hand sanitizer at all points in the hotel including by the lift. The room was fabulous and very spacious for a single room, I loved the on suite, the air con and decor of the room. Also the amount of Electric sockets in the room as I have to use a CPAP machine at night and this is one of the best suited rooms I have stayed in. The only thing missing from my room was the hairdryer which I understand from reception is normally in one of the draws , but was missing on the occasion. The bed was wonderful and so comfortable. The full English breakfast was really good and I was allowed to eat in the marque, so that I could have my two small dogs next to me in their trolley (for which I am most grateful) I would recommend the hotel and stay there again if the occasion arises.

The only thing missing for me was the hairdryer on this occasion.

I chose an 'internal room' with a window into the corridor. The room was small but contained tea/coffee making facilities, shower & hair gels, box of tissues, TV, table & chair, long mirror and was clean. Decent size Carpark.

The window lock was broken. Reported to reception on leaving. The easy chair was tucked in a corner at the end of the bed, so not much use. Skirting boards could do with a refresh.

Very comfortable and spacious for a single room. Enjoyed the view to the gallops. Bathroom had bath and shower. I used both. I am wheat-free, chicken egg free so I am not attracted by breakfast and biscuits.

Would have liked bottled water. Tap in the bathroom was loose. Would have liked more variation in hot drinks.

all staff were friendly and wore masks. bathroom recently refurbished and was very good with a nice hand towel and bath sheet each. food excellent at breakfast and dinner and we were the only guests in the dining room at dinner. we ended up phoning reception multiple times on arrival and were helped with the air conditioning unit. in the end they controlled the temperature from reception as it was only blasting out cold air when we arrived.

in the middle of a refurbishment but I hope they replace window sills. two of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal but my 2nd friend was a bit disappointed in the roast dinner described as a car very meal. but as we were the only diners it was obviously not made from scratch when we ordered
