Superb little Hotel in a good location, close enough to the centre of Newquay to easily access all the beaches, bars, and restaurants but far enough away to not be disturbed at night. We stayed in room 14, which was a lower ground room with a patio straight onto the gardens with full access to the pool area.. The room itself was perfect, good size with a comfortable double bed, an excellent shower, and the normal Tv, tea coffee making facilities. We stayed room only, so I can not comment on the food ..would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again..

The hotel was really nice we stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our time, the hotel is in a really good location about 5/10 minute walk from the town centre, the swimming pool was really nice. Parking on site as well so that was handy, I was checked in by Fiona I believe and she was lovely gave us all the information about the hotel and was really friendly and polite, we are looking to go to Newquay again so would try and use this hotel again if possible

As others have stated the shower isn't the best but for an oldish building it's doable plus we ended up staying in a family room which only had two plug sockets so had to sit by the bathroom if we wanted to use them

Location was perfect minutes from shops, bars, beaches and harbour but in a quiet location but very accessible. This hotel was different to what we are used to in that you are free to do your own thing ie you can take food and drink into the hotel and there are separate areas to accommodate this with plates etc provided. There is also the use of two large fridges which is a real bonus. You are left to your own devices collecting clean towels and provisions when you need them but Fiona was never far away from any questions you might have. We didn’t have breakfast but is available. If we visit Newquay again this is where we will want to stay.

Water pressure for the shower wasn’t as good as we would have liked but there was plenty of hot water at any time. The bath towels were small.

The staff make the place. Fiona is the friendliest host ever. Gave us a room by the pool for the children to fully enjoy. Which was marvellous. The kids loved the pool and the opening times were perfect. The pool was the reason we chose this hotel. And its a 10-15 min walk to the Great Western Beach. So location is good too.

The only real criticism is the pool is still cold, even though its "heated". As the heating elements are either not adequate for the pool or are not working properly. If this was rectified it would be so much more enjoyable. Also there is algae & other bits in the pool. Didnt stop the kids loving it though. It made their whole holiday. One other little thing is the heating in the rooms. No way to adjust bathroom radiator, so when it auto came on, the bathroom was way too hot (minor criticism that though) rooms were fab. Stay was great. We will be back

Fantastic location. We were given an upgraded room on the top floor. Very big balcony with fantastic views.Very private too and we could leave the balcony door open a bit at night. It was nice to have a pool although we only used it once because of wet weather. Fiona was very cheery and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic value at £10 with great choice and high quality ingredients.

Shower pressure wasn't great but it's an old building. Bit of a musty smell when we first went into the room but it didn't bother us.

The welcome from the owners and the overall atmosphere were exceptional. I arrived from overseas in the evening and, in spite of their own family concerns on that day, the owners made sure that I was informed in advance, and that arrangements were in place for me to settle in to my room. For breakfast, a superb spread, even with fresh local kippers (to be ordered a day in advance) which, living overseas, I had not eaten for years! My room was very quiet, and there was no intrusive noise at all.

White curtains on the windows of my room, which didn't help my jet lag and meant that I woke very early in the UK summer. But that was particular to my case, and is not a general problem.

The location of this hotel is great, we had a sea view which was beautiful. The host was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice. There is a games room with a pool table which was nice for an evening to chill out while we were both slightly hungover from the night before!

The only thing that could have made our stay perfect would be the shower. The shower in our room had very little pressure which made it difficult to wash my hair properly after spending the weekend in the sea.

location to town was excellent, really friendly owners, we had an apartment that was separate to main building with a lovely decking area. The rooms are lovely clean and spacious. The views were spectacular. The pool is lovely ( unfortunately we didn't really have the nice weather to really use and enjoy ). Although separate to main building you are able to access the main building at any time and have a phone number for out of hours so you are very well looked after ,which is lovely. We would stay here again , it was a great reset for us before we get back to work. Even though the weather was against us we had a fantastic time.

Nothing. weather was against us .

The views from the room were breath taking, the owners of the hotel were very welcoming with a nothing is to much trouble attitude, the breakfast was first class in quality coupled with the service. The outdoor swimming pool was a most welcome addition and much used.

The room was clean and comfortable but a little out dated and found that the plug sockets available were all in the wrong places; the security was a little lacking as there was easy access to our balcony and the hotel wasn't staffed at parts of the day, there wasn't any other food offered at any other parts of the day, the hotel had a bar but was never opened.

Fiona is so lovely! The hotel is gorgeous. It reminds me of a little Spanish villa. Loved the tabletennis. Beautiful swimming pool. Spotless rooms. Gorgeous views! Would definitely go back! ♡♡♡

There was no restaurant or bar on the premises (we did know this when we booked so not their fault). However, the walk back from town is a steep walk up the hill - this ended up being a bit of a pain in the butt when we were caught without snacks on day 2, and needed a meal on day 1 after our evening snooze as we were feeling lazy from too much exploring (or too many cocktails lol). ;) There is a lovely breakfast spread in the mornings though.
