Jericho Hotel is really beautiful, lives up to the expectations set out on pictures. We had a double room that was spacious enough for two people with luggage and the room was equipped with a large fridge for us to use. The staff were realy friendly and helpful, from carrying our bags to the room (which was on the upper floor) to coming to our table whilst we dined at the restaurant below. Our room appears to have faced the same side as the restaurant kitchen because every time we opened the window, the room filled with mouthwatering scents of delicious food - a perfect incentive to try if there ever was one! Given the fantastic location (almost exactly halfway between the fun parts of Jericho and the touristy parts of Oxford), it makes for a fantastic place to stay and I would certainly go back there again.

The only thing that could have been better was the bidet and the shower, both of which were slow to drain. They weren't so slow so as to prevent the facilities from working correctly, but certainly slow enough to be noticeable.

The staff was incredible… two of their employees helped us carry our bags up to our room when we got there, and they were waiting to help us carry them down when we checked out (no elevator, no problem). They also had a nice restaurant downstairs. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bathroom looked newly remodeled with nice big towels and the shower was spacious and easy to use. Jericho was much bigger and nicer than the hotel we stayed in before that in London. It was a 10-15 minute walk to all of the attractions downtown and in a lovely neighborhood. We would definitely return.

Nothing… everything was great.

There was no breakfast, but we didn’t expect it for that price. The Location was lovely, and distances to everything was easy on foot. We arrived late and when checking in, discovered the restaurant adjacent to the hotel was where we were to check in, they advised us that the kitchen was about to close and did we want to eat. We did indeed, they were very kind, obliging and helpful. We were very pleased and grateful.

We had a twin room, the double bed was excellent, the single bed was excellent for sleeping, however due to a gap behind the bed, I couldn’t sit up in bed reading in comfort.

Location is great. You check in via the restaurant, but staff is knowledgable (they knew I was the one who requested a hairdryer in an email), no awkward talks or explanation needed. They helped with my bag and showed me to my very comfortable room. It was well equipped (fridge-freezer, many mirrors, lots of towels, tv, wardrobe..), bright and quiet. They were able to accommodate a later checkout for me (this is depending on next day availability I imagine) and didn't make any fuss about it. Absolutely great choice, chilled processes, wifi working great.

The close to £100/night seems a bit much for a non-hotel, but having stayed at many places for just a bit less, I would rather pay this extra £20 or so for this place as it was absolutely perfect. I imagine you could have different experiences depending on where your room is. Mine was on 1st floor, non-street-facing and it was ideal.

Coffee/tea facilities in room which compensated for the breakfast advertised on Booking.com but inexistent (since the lockdown apparently). The person who received me was very kind and gave me more milk and biscuits for tea and coffee in the room. Room was pleasant and quiet. Staff kind.

There is no breakfast! I chose Jericho as the price was the most reasonable and it served a continental breakfast. Also as near to my college and dinner I was attending, not far from the centre generally, and a pleasant, quiet location. When I arrived I was v. surprised to discover there was not breakfast and the person who received clearly found it difficult to believe that breakfast was advertised on booking.com. The website of the hotel gives the opportunity to send a message. But nobody ever replies. Idem when I was given an email nobody replies. Hence, no way of contacting hotel. With the exchange rate changing the price is not stable. So despite the absence of breakfast I ended up paying more!

Easy check-in, pleasant room in beautiful leafy street, 15 walk onto the city, easy check-out.

Perhaps a complimentary bottle of water and packets of biscuits to accompany the (small) tea and coffee cups might be nice for visitors in future.

Location: right at the start of Jericho area; very close to city centre, train station, coach station. No reception: the 'hotel' is some rooms upstairs of a Lebanese restaurant, which means you simply visit the restaurant to check in and to get your key, during restaurant opening hours of course. This should not be a problem normally as people check in in the afternoon or evening. It is likely the restaurant is closed when you check out in the morning, but you can simply put your key through their letter box, and off you go. This place would suit a single, couple, or very independent family who do not have special requests or too many questions because there are no staff standing around, ready to meet your eyes. I did not see anyone in the 'hotel' area. The whole thing was very easy and straightforward. There is no busy and cheery 'buzz' or 'atmosphere' if that is what you are after, just a very practical place for a nice, warm and comfortable bed. Overall, I would stay again.

A secondary/ready-made shower and toilet room, slotted into existing bedroom, which is quite small. Practial though, otherwise how would you do it at low cost when converting entire two floors into hotel rooms.

Great location, quiet, clean, great value, tea and coffee making facilities in room, fridge in room.

I always travel with my Amazon fire stick so I can watch my Netflix/ prime etc. the tv stand to put it on the wall covered the hdmi slot so I couldn’t use it. Also tv had Netflix capability but didn’t connect to wifi, needed wired internet. When travelling alone I like to have good tv options for evenings. Also shower- more water came out of the shower box rather than the shower head. Needs fixing.

The location was perfect for me. I had a conference at Keble college nearby and it was an easy walk each morning there and then back in the evenings. The room was comfy and had plenty of space.

I wasn’t aware the hotel was above a restaurant, and I was initially worried I would have broken sleep because of this. However it turned out to not be a problem as it was quiet at the time but may be noisy at some times. The on-suite was sufficient but the shower head had no holder.

The check in process was straight forward. The room itself was spacious and was clean. There was plenty of hangers in the wardrobe. The bed was a good size and was comfortable. The electric shower had a good pressure and heat. There was a bidet in the room which was welcome. There were plenty of tea and coffee sachets along with uht milk. There is also a fridge. All in all the room was great value for money

Had to climb two flights of stairs. No big deal really but other people may have an issue with this. There is a distinct lack of electrical sockets in the room. It's nice to have them either side of the bed. The decor could do with updating. You have to contact staff down in the restaurant if you want a hairdryer or an iron.
