a lovely hotel and great location for me - walking distance from the train station and the city center (it's actually located opposite the oxford castle) - my room was really nice and clean and cleaned very efficiently. the window wouldn't open but had a nice view to the stream. the bed was super comfortable and the shower set up was so nice i need to remember it for my place. the breakfast was good and had varied options but was the same everyday (this didn't bother me i just mention it in case you need to know). i would have loved more info about the city but also i didn't really ask. also they have a nice rooftop garden with lovely views.

my room was connect to another room with a locked door. as a single female traveler it took a while to feel relaxed, in addition to that the actual door to my room would not close properly unless pushed and i found myself not closing it properly while in a rush to go in at least twice.

Every single staff member we interacted with was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Our king room was spacious and clean. We were there during a heatwave and the air con was excellent in both common areas and our room. The rooftop terrace with views of Oxford Castle and the city was enjoyable, especially as a way to relax after a long day of sightseeing. Bonvoy points entitled us to complementary Prosecco, wish I could remember the brand.

Could improve with having a license to mix cocktails at the bar. Could also improve the bar menu especially for weekends when many other places to eat close early.

The location was excellent and we chose to pay for a view of the castle which was worth it. The location in the city yet in a very quiet side rode is excellent. The staff were all very helpful and the breakfast staff were especially helpful and friendly.

The main dislike was in the room. There were no draws to put clothes in. Just one cupboard with no shelves so you had to pile them all on top of each other. I would have preferred the room to be slightly bigger.

The property had all the qualities we expect at a Courtyard by Marriott and that's not always the case when traveling overseas. The location is very quiet and out of the way but easy walking distance to the Westgate mall, the downtown shops and restaurants, and the Oxford colleges. The hotel itself is very very quiet and that's hard to get in central Oxford. The staff is very pleasant, especially the breakfast room staff (which is used as a small bar/meeting place during some evening hours.) The HVAC works well and can be set to your preference in each room.

There was some confusion when we checked in. i had booked rooms that looked out at the "castle view," or thought I had, and we ended up with rooms on the interior space with just a view of rooms on the other side. The check in clerk said all I had booked was "two superior rooms." There was also confusion about whether they have connecting rooms, or not. The windows in our two rooms did not open, at all. The breakfast is very good, but expensive; you can easily eat nearby for less.

Air conditioning and comfortable beds

The suggestion to park in the car park was a poor one. Not only was the walk long and hot but you cannot pay for more than 16 hours at a time so you must continue to make the trip back to feed the meter. Also the glass corners in the bathroom were uncomfortable for bathroom activities.

Location was a short walk from the main train station and the colleges. We arrived during one of the heatwaves that hit the UK and we were very smug with our air conditioned rooms. There was a slight technical glitch whilst paying for the rooms, but the staff were very helpful and everything cleared up quickly. The front desk also arranged for a taxi to Heathrow at a very reasonable rate. Rooms were clean, comfortable and cool. Tip: there is a rooftop patio that guests can use which has lovely views.

Nothing

Great central location right next to the castle but at the same time very quiet neighborhood. Good and complete breakfast and very helpful and informative staff. Comfy beds and a big room but not much of a view if that is what you are looking for.

A couple of large noticeable coffee spots on the carpet and one of the chairs in the room had the fabric ripped. It is not a big deal and Housekeeping promptly resolved the issues but these are things that can be prevented before a new guest comes in.

Completely acceptable hotel in a convenient location in Oxford. Stayed three nights. Not cheap, but nothing decent is in Oxford. Will probably stay here again next time in town unless I found an interesting AirBNB. Essentially what you would expect from the brand. You can walk here from anywhere in town which was great. Seems like they have a nice bar although I did not use it.

Unable to get a printed receipt upon departure. Instead, an e mail was sent to "Sams". I would have expected a title or a full name out of courtesy!

The location was great! Very close to city centre and 2 mins walk to Westgate shopping mall. The breakfast was tasty , costs 15£ if u book in advance

.The room was clean in general. But there was massive layer of dust under the bed. And the room is pretty small, but still comfy.
