The location is just perfect, you cannot get more central than that. The staff were fabulous, super nice, friendly, and helpful. The room was on the small side, but clean. The window had a double crystal, and there has a bit of humidity, but if you have been to the UK you know this is a common problem. The issue was solved with the heater, which worked really well. They don't serve breakfast, but this is Oxford; there is a Tesco and a Sainsbury around the corner and lots of breakfast places all over.

There is no lift, so anyone with mobility issues should stay in another hotel.

We visited for a show at the Oxford Theatre and this is the perfect location. Close to everything, the theatre, restaurants, town centre but it was also a quiet nights sleep. Surprisingly comfy bed (not that i was expecting it not to be but nothing beats your own bed right?) but i had a great nights sleep. Staff were friendly and accommodating and room was clean. Shower drain was a bit blocked but we only used to room to sleep in so all in all pretty pleased.

Shower needs draining

clean, right location, would stay there again. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities plus generous sized glasses for water . The staff were friendly and obliging, they delayed room cleaning to suit me, The reception manager carried my suitcase from reception to the ground floor for me upon departure. I stayed two nights not one as shown, I made two separate bookings. Location is central to shops colleges, museums and other tourist attractions. Many excellent cafes, restaurants and pubs serving food located close by. I would definitely stay there again on my next stay in Oxford.

There was nothing which I didn’t like. I had a front facing room which had an interesting street view. Lack of restaurant may not suit some people, I wasn’t bothered as there are many places to eat locally.

Location was great, right downtown and easy access from the train station (5 min. walk) and 5 min walk to campus. Small but clean. There were 2 packages of biscuits and some tea in the room, a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and willing to let me leave my suitcase after checkout.

A bit of street noise but not bad and the fan in the room provided enough white noise to drown it out.

cleanliness of room easy to operate shower with a ready supply of hot water - in fact, the bathroom was more than adequate with nice toiletries (including useful shower cap) central location near restaurants and pubs and not too far from the station

not sure if venue can do anything about this, but there's lots of early morning noise from the street -and indeed late night noise, the downside of its central location

Perfect location, close to all the main sights in the city center and 10 minutes far from the train station. The room was small but it had all the comforts. Perfectly clean. Very efficient heating system.

There is no elevator. Room are not so much soundproof. No breakfast, but coffee and tea are provided in the room. It was not possible to open the closet because there was not enough space since it was next to the bed.

Most of the essentials I expect from a hotel room are there. The room is somewhat small but adequate, and I understand that the property cost must be high in Oxford. The reception was manned, so that we could leave our luggage there for two hours after check-out.

No tissue paper provided in room. Metal bar on glass shelf in toilet kept falling off. I repaired it.

terrific value - centre of Oxford, clean, comfortable bed, generous and decent shower gel and shampoo, shower effective, plenty of clothes hanging, wifi fine for emails, quiet despite being central to nightlife, super-friendly staff. No frills but still modern, plenty spacious, clean and remarkably just over £80 for the night in central Oxford.

maybe a lift would be good for more luggage but not a big issue for me.

Small room but adequate for two people staying for a few days and had good heating considering the freezing temperatures outside. Right in the city centre with all the restaurants, university colleges, museums etc in close proximity. Remarkably quiet. Not suitable for disabled guests and no breakfast facilities although there was tea and coffee making equipment available. Friendly and helpful receptionist.

Can't think of anything.

The location is perfect if you plan to spend a lot of time out and about in the city center. Despite the hotel being located on a busy street, I had a room facing the inner courtyard so it was very quiet. The room is simple and basic but still had a cozy atmosphere. Staff was friendly

The entrance felt a bit like you’re just walking into a private house.
