Fantastic room (No 5) with access to a well kept garden and beautiful patio. Very large, well equipped bath room. Very professional and kind staff: "Thank you Sian to fulfil our wishes". Public transport to Oxford city center (Bus 3 and 3A) very close by, the latter can also be reached by a lovely 15 minutes walk.

The only suggestion "Please tell the customer in advance if the bed is queen or king size and maybe define soft or hard mattresses!" Also please add two glasses to the room equipment. These are not a criticisms but suggestions for improvement.

Well located, near bus stops and Oxford city; large, clean and comfortable room with comfortable bed, TV, big windows and nice view; quiet; efficient entry methods; responsive to queries, even though not on-site.

The property is set up without a kitchen or laundry, and rooms have only an electric jug. Since it is not particularly close to cafes or shops (although there are some nice cafes within a 10 minute walk), it would be useful to have a toaster and small fridge in the rooms for quests who plan to stay longer than a few days. Rooms are not cleaned during the stay unless it is for 5 days or more, but clean towels should be provided every two days or so.

Location to Oxford was great. We could in and out of town easily or take the bus, which is very close and runs often. Place was tidy and clean.

Would’ve appreciated a mini-fridge and microwave bc we ate in for dinner to save money and we had to throw away leftovers bc there was nowhere to store them or heat them up. Also would’ve been nice to have a way to store luggage for when guests arrive into the area earlier than check-in or have to check-out, but will be in the area for a few more hours. One window is jammed shut (on purpose), which was a problem when it was 30+ degrees and the windows are the only way to cool off the rooms. Thankfully the temp reduced our second day.

We liked that it was in walking distance from many eateries and a pleasant walk to Oxford centre. Room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Check in was great for us. Very straightforward, easy and safe.

Every time someone used the front door, the bedroom door banged/buffered, even with the lock on. Lights on constantly in hallways were very bright through gaps around the door. Possibly look at getting dimmer lights with sensors to brighten with movement? Ɓathroom was rather snug when using the toilet, not much room to manoeuvre! Shame about the lack of parking.

Extremely well kept (well, the facility still feels new!). Only issue on cleanliness was a biscuit wrapper left on the floor, it is a minor thing but for that cost bracket (reasonable, but not a hostel!) - I would expect better. The staff I did interact with (on account of maintenance fix) was professional and warm. Other than that issue I perhaps would not have interacted with staff at all, which is perfectly fine. The check in by kiosk was easy. Only other issue was the door slamming shut at all hours. That wasn't a matter of other guests being obnoxious, but more so that the front door is loud on closing! I discussed this briefly with the lovely staff person I did meet. Great location, great facility, I would certainly visit again - thanks to the team.

Cleanliness, decoration, and comfort were all wonderful! The coffee, tea, and biscuits provided were a nice touch. There were plenty of towels, hot water, etc. It was warm in the room due to the summer weather, but the hotel had accounted for that and there was a useful fan in my room upon arrival!

The room was a little bit cramped/awkward (nowhere to efficiently store and access my luggage without blocking areas/doors); but otherwise, I had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return!

The property is in an excellent location and within great walking distance to town, even in cold weather. The self check in was easy and well explained. The room was excellent and very clean and comfortable. The booklet with instructions and contact details was very clear and I knew how to contact the owner if necessary. We had a very pleasant stay.

In our room there was not much light from a window and although this can't be helped, it could have done with more artificial white light as the warm lights and lack of window on the bed side of the room made us feel quite sleepy! Would also love to have seen a quick note about checkout instruction, we weren't sure if we needed to check out using the self check in computer or take the sheets off etc.

We stayed in the Garden Room, it was spotlessly clean, spacious and well decorated, very comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities, fantastic shower, no-one on site but Alice is very responsive to emails, I had a few questions and was answered promptly each time, in quiet location just a short walk from all the amenities on Cowley Road.

4pm is very late to check in and 10am is very early to have to leave. However there was flexibility for an extra £10 an hour.

Very clean. Nice modern decor. Loved the direct access to the garden patio area. Bedding appeared new, clean and fresh. Bathroom modern and clean. Quiet at the back of the house.

It was a little bit hot at night. You could leave the patio door open as the garden seemed secure but I have a dislike of crawly things so wouldn't chance it. I quite liked the soft bed but my partner thought it was too soft. No drinking glasses available and the cups were a bit on the small side but otherwise adequate.

Location was good for the Churchill Hospital which is why we needed to be in Oxford. It’s walking distance to some nice restaurants on St Clements Street. Pub nearby - The Fir Tree does very good pizzas Mon-Fri. The room was very nicely decorated but a little bit small as we stayed 4 nights. The shower room had everything we needed including toiletries. The host was very helpful & made contact to see if everything was ok.

Lack of parking. All of the side roads are permit parking only.
