Room was very clean and everything good. Staff very responsive. Had a situation after returning home where we could not find a document we needed. I emailed them twice the day after I stay and response to both less then an hour. We did find it but I appreciated the quick response time. Overall would stay here again.
No issue with sports view but 3rd party listing made it sound like parking was automatic. Spots for free were limited but we were able to use free parking all 3 days and if we needed there is public parking literally next door

For the cost near central Oxford this was a great hotel. Luckily we didn't need the windows open as on a very noisy road, the only downside. I guess you can ask for a room at the back, which would probably be smaller. Ours was a nice large room. The beds were comfy so we slept well. Apart from that it was easy walking or 'bussing' into the Centre. We had Breakfast at a local cafe, so can't comment on the breakfast room or breakfast, though I believe it was fine.
They can't help their busy location, and the windows are double-glazed so not too bad. Also the very steep steps were a bit hairy with suitcases, but there was a safety bar to hold and as long as you were careful it was fine. Not for the infirm though. We were walking the Thames Path so OK for us. I think it is more of a young persons guesthouse, but nevertheless was perfect for our needs.

The property is easily accessed and located at the edge of the town which is great if you travel by car as you can avoid the city centre's traffic. Rooms are small but very clean. There is a convenient bus station nearby.
The staff was not very friendly (first time in our 3 weeks stay in the UK that we were a bit disappointed). There is a private parking place at the location but it really was not useful for us. We arrived around 4 pm and that day we couldn't visit too much in Oxford (everything closes at 4pm). The next day we had to check out at 10 am so we had to take our car at a parking place, some miles away and then travel by bus to the city.

Free parking spot Big sunny room Moveable beds, so we could combine the 2 one-person beds, to a big one 15 min walk to the first sightseeing destinations Nice view towards a meddow
Too many stairs. Bringing a big suitcase upstairs is going to be tricky The shower water pressure was not strong enough - this needs some sort of repair The nearest groceries shop is almost 15 minutes away Ambulances were passing on the main street through the whole night, but the windows isolate the sound well enough. Use the thick curtains

Very friendly welcome and helpful staff. Spacious, well fitted rooms with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Spotless bedroom and bathroom, comfortable beds and great pressure in the shower. Good space for parking, and an easy walk or bus to the city centre. Can't comment on breakfast as we ate at one of the nearby cafes, but it's the perfect location for a few days away in Oxford. Thankyou!
Everything was excellent. The only addition could be an anti-slip mat in the shower.

Full of sensibilities! There were many hangers in the room and the toilet. The room was spacious and organized having clearly considered the smaller details to make it thoroughly comfortable and convenient. Such a pleasure!
Definitely the stairs. That said, it’s probably a common issue with older buildings. With small luggage the stairs will work, however when we travel as a family and a fair amount to pack in big cases, it’s no fun lugging them up!

It was clean and had all that you could need. Beds not super luxurious but we weren't expecting that to be the case. They were totally adequate and no complaints at all, slept well. Loved that you could open the windows as this is not always the case for hotels but such an important thing to be able to do. The bathroom was sparkling clean as was towels and beds. Wardrobe had lots of space and hangers. Lots of tea and coffee supplied. And only a 12/13 minute walk into town. AND parking which is excellent. Thank you for a good stay!

We arrived early to be assured of a parking space. Reception welcoming and helpful. Our room, on the first floor, was clean, bright and ample in size, with a bay window looking over the busy road and sports field. Shower and hot water excellent. Bed firm but not uncomfortable. Good Wi-Fi and smart TV. Regular buses into town, though it's only a 20 minute walk.
Limited breakfast choice. Had to close windows overnight to shut out traffic noise.

It was very comfortable with the fan on those hot nights and breakfast was really good. You could have cereal, fruit, cold meats, toast, pastries, boiled eggs and yoghurt. The bus to the city centre stopped almost out the front. There was a laundrette nearby and a good felafal shop as well as a small convenience store on the same road. The Head of the River pub was also on the same road as the guesthouse. The men running this guest house were very polite and it was no trouble for them to look after our bags or to ring a taxi for us on our departure..
The rooms were small but functional..

The room had everything I needed, it was very comfortable and extremely clean. The location is good, very quiet and lovely old Victorian terraces around; it's a lovely fifteen-minute walk to the centre of Oxford. After the first couple of days I was tired so I took the bus (virtually at the door) and was at the city centre in 5 minutes. This is my second time in the Sportsview Guesthouse, and I will be back. I asked for a room with few stairs as I have problems with my knees, and got one on the first floor. Lovely people at the reception.
Everything was good. The price of the room has almost tripled since before the pandemic when I first stayed there, but I guess we can blame worldwide inflation.
