Helpfulness of staff. They were really good regarding arranging a taxi and helping my mum in and out of the hotel. They organised a really suitable room for my mum right next to the lift and ideal for people with mobility problems.

The only problem with the hotel was my mum who is very elderly had to use a disabled lift to get from the main lounge in the hotel to the lower level restaurant. This lift was not easy to work and was very slow, with the staff in the restaurant needing to spend a lot of time to make this lift work. There was also a hoover stored in the way of the entrance to the lift. We had to use this lift for my mum to get out of the hotel as well because there was no disabled access from the hotel reception and lounge.

Excellent location. Room and and restaurant are very comfortable. The Restaurant is accommodating with a good menu and nice bar. They have a separate glassed in room which one can use for business or private phone calls. The hotel is located a few steps from the airport bus stop as well as bus stops for everywhere else.

The staff was either uninformed or not interested in helping to find restaurants that are open late. I asked about the hotel/restaurant walking distance down the road and only after I asked them to google it did they find that the restaurant at the Old Bank is, indeed, open late. The staff seemed to be new. Nice but not too helpful.

the location was perfect to walk everywhere. It was modern and clean.

The staff were ok. Friendly but not helpful in finding alternate solutions, I.e. we checked in at midnight and the one person checking us in was not friendly and didn’t help us in terms of finding parking. it was only when the manager came over that he said we could park with them. Also, one evening we wanted to get food and the room service kitchen closed at the time. that’s fine but when asked if they could suggest an alternate of what was open etc they just replied “I don’t know” and left it at that. instead of trying to help us….there was door dash which we found ourselves and it was perfect.

The hotel ahs everything one needs as far as facilities go. It is also right at the bus stop to LHR as well as many other points that are useful. The restaurant/bar is fine and the lobby is comfortable. The beautiful bar in the lobby is not used because of staff limitations but one can order from the restaurant and sit in the lobby. The new beds are superb.

The staff, although they meant to be helpful, really didn't know anything about the restaurants in the area so we had to find something that was open late by ourselves. The Quad (about 100 meters down the road) serves late and they should know that. They also got confused on the length of stay of some of our party although it was clarified several times. They are friendly but don't seem to be be very quick to answer questions or help in anyway. Maybe they were new but it was very noticeable.

Beautifully decorated. Comfy bed. Very quiet for a town centre hotel. Great coffee.

Very dim lights in our bedroom. No reading lamp at all. The ‘hot’ food in the buffet breakfast was cold, as were the plates. Anyone turning up after 10.00 would have little choice. of fruit & pastries. The tables weren’t cleared. No instructions in the bedroom about timings for breakfast or check out or how to work the TV. I had to show the check in staff my email booking confirmation, because they didn’t recognise my surname. I even spelt it for them.

Lovely hotel, cute decor and the room was very cosy. Breakfast was great and the hotel was nice and quiet even for a bank holiday weekend! Hotel is in excellent location and we were able to get to the main tourist attractions within the matter of minutes.

Very little! The only thing that stood out is that the room would have benefitted from air con as it was a bit too warm at times (we tried to decrease the temperature but it didn't seem to work). Otherwise, I would highly recommend the hotel!

I stayed here before and decided to try it again and I wasn't disappointed, the room was clean and cosy, and it wasn't small room either, the staff were really helpful, especially Masoud, they helped us rebook again since we arrived and we surprised to know we booked wrong dates, the location was fabulous, walking distance to any place in Oxford, I recommend this place

the only thing I can remember is the mini fridge wasn't cooling enough.

Perfectly located for our need. Met some very friendly staff. Lovely lounge area. A lovely experience overall.

I thought the facilities would feel more "4-star hotel" like, whereas I wonder if we are moving to something much more casual and relaxed. I was anticipating a more traditional experience in Oxford, so was surprised to not find that. I hope we go back to those values and how we used to make things feel. It was a special time. We have momentarily moved to something more basic. Bring back the magic! Maybe we are still coming out of the Covid Blues and have not yet brought back our sparkle!

Great location right in heart of Oxford, with views out to the iconic Oxford College buildings. Few minutes walk into town. Room was spacious and comfortable, with a good sized bathroom with shower.

There wasn’t a bath - though many hotels don’t offer that now. As it is an old building there are some narrow corridors and a few steps to negotiate with bags. Those were minor issues and didn’t really cause problems.

Located in the centre of Oxford, all the sites are an easy walk from the hotel. The rooms are large, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Buffet breakfast had reasonable choices and as much as you could eat. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were staying with family so asked for rooms near to each other on booking. On check-in we had one on the first floor and one on the third! Limited parking if coming by car.
