The staff at the Normandy are helpful, friendly and so pleasant especially Karen on reception she was a star. We met up with a group of friends in the tribute 00's night it was fantastic food was served promptly so the party could begin. The hotel is close to the airport and there's a bus stop right outside takes you in to the city centre they come regularly I think it was about £9.40 for two all day tickets. I have to mention breakfast the choice and quality were fantastic a hearty meal to set you up for the day. The reception area is spotless and nice comfy seats to relax and have a drink we spent two nights here and would stay again.

I only have a couple of gripes the room was small (223) and a bit dated and not clean clean but serviceable the bed was so comfy though. also a lack of sockets

If you like 70s retro, this is perfect; because it's not retro, it's the real thing. Built in the early 70s, less modernised and more very well maintained, it's kept it's 70s look and feel. The rooms are small, but comfortable and spotless. The staff are friendly & helpful, especially the night porter & driver who arranged transport to the airport for me. They are in the process of updating many of the rooms. I really hope they keep a handful they way they are.

Hotel restaurant food is good and reasonably priced, (though the chef can be a little heavy with the salt). Room comfortable and cosy. The established staff are very helpful and pleasant. Airport transfer drivers to and from the airport, both excellent. Thank you

Renovation work was being carried out to the reception area floor etc; Felt sorry for the staff having to work with the upheaval. But I'm sure it will be super at completion. One small point - Trainee bar staff did their best but seemed to be left to their own devices. But my wife and I will certainly stay at The Normandy again. Thank you

Food in the restaurant was delicious and good value for money. The ability to get a shuttle to and from the airport and park my car at the hotel while I was on holiday was a huge selling point. I saved £30 by adding this service and will definitely be using this hotel again.

There was no main ceiling light in the room, only side lights and lights at the table that we had to point at the ceiling. Not a big deal considering the benefits mentioned here but something to be aware of if you need to do any form of work like I did.

Room was a refurbed room, seen the difference as have stayed before. Love the new refurbished rooms. Vicky on reception very helpful, friendly/kind. Restaurant staff, again helpful and friendly. Food excellent

Perhaps outside benches could do with tightening but still nice to be able to sit out when weather good. Perhaps outside seating area could be a project for the future?

we have stayed at this hotel for many years (every time we fly from Glasgow) however, now they charge extra now for parking and for the transfers to and from the airport.

I regularly fly to Glasgow with work and was let down by BA cancelling my flight. There was a rush for hotel rooms and I remembered the Normandy. It is a little faded - but the welcome was warm, a taxi was organised for the morning and the modest room was clean and comfortable - just what I needed. The price was excellent.

The location is good. A.ple free parking. Good breakfast. We'll stocked bar. Shower gel supplied

The rooms are very small. No usb points in the room. Curtains were hanging off. The lighting is poor

Dinner service. We ordered diner at 6.30pm and hadn't received it by 7.20pm. Staff reaction was Sorry it's comming. We decided to leave as this was unacceptable. I am sure that this was busy due to a large coach party being attended to in the restauarnt. Not good enough - it's not the customers problem if there is not enough staff to cope. However we had a fish supper deliverd from a local chip shop.

It was clean, breakfast good, big dining room and bar, plenty of room. Big hotel and it wasn't noisy although it was v busy on one night. There are lifts to the upper floors. Plenty of parking.Spacious bedroom, huge double bed.

It is a little worn in places. Scratches, wood split in door frames, skirting boards and worn carpets. Think it could do with some tlc.
