We recently stayed from 24th - 29th Jul 23. Breakfast and Dinner was a delight, plenty on menu to choose from. Staff were so friendly, helpful and polite. A special mention to George very cheerful, experienced and should be commended for his services he provided to us and the restaurant. A pleasure chatting to him. Reception area was very clean, along with the Bar area and Restaurant, staff made us so welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The room was clean, bed, bathroom was spotless, however, hotel requires an overhaul - upgrading throughout (inside and outside). In saying that the hotel is very busy. We did not have Room Service throughout our stay, but could get towels changed, Tea, Coffee, etc on request.

I stay here whenever the price is good, it can fluctuate depending on the time of year and day of the week. It is a no frills place. The beds are comfy and the sheets are always immaculate. The rooms are spacious as is the en suite bathroom. Always a nice table and chairs, hanging space, a safe and an ironing board and telly. It is on a regular bus route into the town and close to a railways station. Large carpark which is a terrific bonus if you are coming from out of town.

Some of the rooms are a bit tired but that is just cosmetic. If they were updated the price would be too and then I would not be able to stay there. You pay for the room so same price for one as two. I used to take the breakfast, sometimes it was included but the range and quality dropped significantly so I don't pay the extra for that.

I visited the Leonardo Inn for the second time last weekend and I honestly couldn’t fault it, and will be staying there again if I ever visit Glasgow in the future. After our previous stay at the Leonardo Inn, when me and my friend had stayed in Glasgow to watch a concert that then got cancelled, on our return to watch the rescheduled concert, the staff were welcoming as ever and very friendly and accommodating. You couldn’t ask for nicer staff. On both the occasions that we stayed at the hotel it was clean and tidy and the breakfasts were delicious. A member of staff printed my friend’s ticket for the concert out for her that she hadn’t been able to print at home using the hotel facilities - just one example of how kind everyone is there.

As we were travelling from Aberdeen, we had booked a night at the Glasgow Leonardo Inn West End as my husband had an hospital appointment the following morning at the Gartnavel hospital. Unbeknown to us, the hospital was just behind the hotel, which was a real plus. On arrival, the staff welcomed us with open arms and made our stay so very special, helping us even to forget the purpose of our stay ! From checking in to our evening meal through to breakfast the following morning, Greg, Scott and George made sure we were well looked after and were very attentive. On arrival, Scott warned us that there was a coach party arriving soon and to come for our evening meal before then to make sure the dining service was quicker. He even spoke to the chef and asked for a special spaghetti dish for myself as the one I wanted wasn’t available, which was really lovely. George made sure we had everything we needed at breakfast and took us round the back of the hotel and pointed us to the right path to the hospital which was so kind and thoughtful. We were able to leave our car in the car park while at the hospital which was really handy as the hospital carpark was really busy. The housekeeper was also very kind to help us open our bedroom door in the morning after breakfast as she noticed we were struggling. All the staff were very polite. There was a very sweet personalised note when we arrived in our room with Scottish products : 2 Irn Bru cans ans shortbread as well as Caramel wafers which was a really nice touch ! We couldn’t thank the whole staff enough for making our stay so nice ! The room was really nice, the bed was really comfy and huge ! It was really clean ! We will be back in 4 months time for our next appointment at the hospital and will be sure to book again at the Leonardo Inn Glasgow West End. We’ll look forward to see the whole team again then !

In the corridor and staircase, we felt the decor was perhaps a little outdated and could be freshened up but it wasn’t an issue for us.

First bus service No: 6 & 6A, 30 minutes± to city centre, bus stop 2-5 minutes walk from hotel lobby. Room was large and well aired, a large window with a security alarm fitted. The radiator heat easily controlled. Large kettle with sachets of coffee, long life milk and various types of tea bags. Hot water 27/7. Bath and shower. Table, dressing table, two chairs. Wide flat screen TV. Bedside table. Two lifts from reception to all four floors. Bar and restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff. Large safe. Plenty of room and many clothes hangers. Excellent value. If in the area again I will definitely try and stay here again, stayed here for one week. Single beds are very comfortable. Refilled drinking water bottle at the hotel kitchen, no extra charge. Towels included, one very large and one small hand towel plus a bath floor towel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. BP garage next door with M&S shop. General hospital a few yards away, no A&E.

Plenty of power plug outlets but none next to the bedside table. Car parking in a large car park extra charges applicable each day, payable at reception. No bottled drinking water in the room when I arrived. I used the water from the bathroom until I found the nearest open post office / store that sold large 5ltrs bottles of still water. Rooms are not sound proof.

I arrived early but was given a room and checked in. For that I was very impressed and grateful. Reception staff could not have been more pleasant, professional and informative The breakfasts were first class and I would recommend highly. Hybdland railway station is a ten minute walk away giving access city centre and beyond.

Duvet cover was torn, apparently due to wear and tear. The enamel in the bath was chipped exposing potential to scratch. Sealant on bottom of shower screen dirty and mouldy. Curtain in bedroom had broken curtain hooks. Bottom of bathroom door frame appeared to be rotting. Overall I had the impression that the maintenance schedule was not being implemented, perhaps due to a lack of staff. This was only one room, perhaps all others are well maintained and presented.

Megan the receptionist was excellent as was the barmaid whose name I did not get. Bed was very comfortable and room size good. Excellent breakfast and generally well presented.

1.Room not ready for an additional 2 hours. 2. Lift just big enough to get wheelchair into. 3. Light switch to disabled ensuite was at standing shoulder height and a table and chair were an unnecessary obstacle. 4. Ensuite floor dirty around toilet bowl, edges of room and particularly behind the room door when they had cleaned with the door open. 5. Corridors full of laundry and cleaning carts still at 1700. Poor supervision and management

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of variety. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was 2 seats in our room, a first! Well done. Good was very good. Tea/coffee included decaf coffee and fruit/mint tea.

We noticed the hotel was being painted at the moment. Our set room was shabby and in obvious need of attention. Also, and I meant to draw it to their attention, but omitted for various reasons, there was a sewerage smell in the wet room wh which I also noticed in the waiting area by the pool table and the toilets were located there, so maybe they have or have had a problem there.

Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty refreshments in room. Great shower with ample hot water. Breakfast selection was extremely good.

Bathroom grouting and shower curtain need attention. Room not soundproof with noise of the close by lift and noisy ‘neighbours’ disturbing sleep. Restaurant meal disappointing with starter overcooked and too much dressing on the Caesar salad. Calamari and burger OK though. Also disappointing that food was not available to order on first night of stay despite it being requested before the advertised restaurant close time.

Good sized, clean and comfortable and well equipped room.

Had to get help to turn the shower off. Heat detector went off when using hairdryer. Chap on reception when we checked out could have been friendlier, tried to charge me an extra day parking and got irritable because I didn't realize I could only pay by card tapping his finger on the sign pointing it out, which I thought was a bit rude, I was rushing to get away to get to my husband in hospital and just didn't notice the sign.
