stayed here night before my wedding and night of the wedding in the Bella Epoch suite - incredibly spacious, beautiful space and over looking the secret garden. Staff are great and so welcoming - you can really feel the 5 star service. We loved it.

Staff were excellent , very helpful and cheery! Location was very convenient for me visiting my brother in byres road although it was A bit convoluted due to the road closures due to the world cycling championships being held in Glasgow, but on the huge plus side was being able to watch the race about 20 feet from the route when the leaders and peloton came roaring up the hill, an indelible experience amongst the crowd who were cheering everybody and sounding like the Hampden roar!!

New guests like myself took a few days to navigate the “ maze” of the corridors between the houses . Perhaps the management can come up with an internal map between the various facilities or a short video as to how to navigate through the “maze”.as Arnold Schwarzenegger said “ I WILL BE BACK next time I visit .!!

Lovely building and room, staff were superb, food is second to none.

It’s a very dark hotel inside and a complete maze to find your room, the bar, the restaurant, with poor signage - all told you really do need to open all the blinds and windows and let in some natural light and air plus the hotel was absolutely red hot with a completely inadequate fan in the room, the food and breakfast superb but £17 (2023) for a starter of two tiny langostines ,come off it. Parking is a nightmare there are tel phone numbers outside the hotel to book permit parking for overnight the hotel but they didn’t work and direct you to download a parking app which again did not work, then I was given an incorrect street name from a staff member for free parking nearby that I couldn’t find as the street didn’t exist!

friendly staff especially tom who looked after us very well and went out his way to make sure you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay he defenetly shines out from the rest and is very neat and tidy and great at organising the bar area making it feel like a relaxing atmosphere with his magic touch he has a very pleasent and polite manner that makes you feel very welcome. The hotel has a very stylish and modern look and has recently had a upgrade to the rooms making them very relaxing modern feel. The food is off a excellent standard and quality and staff are very polite and look after you very well. Over all 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ service And thanks again for a lovely stay I've spent alot of lovely night here and it never failed to Impress me every time will be visiting again soon. And Thanks to all the staff and management for there hard work and effort to make the place run so smoothly for there guests very much appreciated and noticed every time.

We had a beautifully appointed and spacious room (suite) at the front of the hotel, with a tremendously comfortable bed. High quality bed linens. Thoughtfully planned bathroom with lovely toiletries and ample fluffy towels. Everything in top-notch condition, as we had hoped. The staff were polite, helpful and discreet. The restaurant food was very good - we had a wonderful meal one evening. We used the residents lounge to have evening drinks - it's comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Location is good - on the edge of the West End: an easy walk to the university area. Highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

I’ve stayed here before, and it a lovely place to stay, although slightly confusing with its many corridors and stairwells. The evening menu, although sparse, (no steaks unless you choose the bar menu) was very good.

I’m sorry to say I was disappointed with the state of the beautiful mahogany furniture. Water rings on all the furniture. As someone who is in hospitality, I covered all my wood furniture with glass, not only giving it a good look, but protects the wood. The wash basin and toilet could have been cleaner.

We loved our room and the cosy bar and sitting rooms.

The food was definitely not as good as expected and the Valentines tasting meal was not worth the money we paid £85 per head. All in all food quite disappointing.we also paired wines with our meal for an extra £45. All wine was poured away from the table and glasses brought to us pre filled, no chance to look at the bottle/labels. Food was slow to come almost an hour for the first course. It was cold on arrival. Second course was one scallop ! All plates very small. Breakfast was also cold and all eggs very over cooked. Toast limp and poor quality bread. Toaster obviously not working. No oat milk at breakfast and no baileys or desert wine on first night. Such a shame as a truly gorgeous hotel with wonderful interiors, but the food lets it down.

Beautiful old building located in a lovely area of Glasgow. Staff very helpful and professional. The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed and pillows. Excellent restaurant and a great breakfast.

The room was overly warm (although we were there during an unseasonably hot spell). The windows were above head height due to the room being located on a lower ground floor, so awkward to open and close.

we love staying here - make sure we have a couple of nights stay a couple of times a year. love the location, easy and lovely walk into the west end, Byres road etc we stayed in Pommery which is a stunning suite again, but it was a little strange the bedroom door opening onto the hotel foyer. beds always comfy, bathrooms always huge with lovely big soaking bath, great sofas for relaxing on with views of GWR. A short 20 min walk will take you down to Cottonrake bakery for the best coffee & croissants in the mornings, it’s our every-single-trip routine!

my small niggle is always no shelves or units to put all of your toiletries or wash bags on in this hotel…..it’s maybe a small one but always a little annoying. a Also no hooks on the backs of doors to hang coats & dressing gowns etc……none of it enough to annoy me too much as I’ve booked our next trip already!!

So much more than an average hotel. it’s a real treat to stay at One Devonshire. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel incredibly special. The hotel is unique ( in a good way) and our room was sumptuous and spotlessly clean. it’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed in that has almost zero noise in the room from other guests. We ate in the bar at night and it was relaxing with an excellent choice of food and drinks. Our food was delicious and well priced. The hotel is in the heart of Glasgow’s West End without being slap bang in the middle of the noises students bit. Free parking in the terrace and surrounding streets.
