Central location with parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great value for money. It was hot and fresh. Great selection of drinks in the bar.

Had to wait quite a while for a drink as it only seemed like one person dealing with checking people in and serving in the bar. However, I appreciate that they could of had staffing issues and were let down last minute. Room was dusty and didn't feel clean. Crisp packet behind the bedside cabinet. Bathroom had hairs around the top of the bath and a couple of dead small flies. Appreciate its an old building but still could be cleaner.

The hotel was clean but fairly basic and economy rooms are small but we expected that rooms were nice and warm as well. The hotel does have a railway line at the back which can be noisy but they automatically moved us further away which was appreciated and helped a bit. Plenty of parking which was good. The staff/owners were really friendly, check in was easy. We were not in the hotel much as we were visiting family but we did have a couple of late evening drinks in the bar which was very pleasant.

Walls are paper thin so can hear your neighbours. Don’t think hotel can do much about that though. There is a restaurant but they were not able to offer breakfast not sure why, however there was a lovely cafe just along the road.

The hotel is very central to Pangbourne. It has some parking on a first come first served basis. My room was clean, warm and comfortable and you could hear the trains as they whooshed by for probably 15 seconds and they didn’t keep me awake at night. They couldn’t offer me breakfast on the first morning I stayed as I was the only guest but on the second day they could offer me breakfast. I wasn’t worried as there was an amazing cafe called O’Briens about a 3 minute walk away that opened at 8am and had several delicious items on their breakfast menu.

The staff were really helpful, especially the receptionist who greeted us, she was really pleasant and professional. They allowed us to store our e bikes in their garage which also had power. The location was excellent with easy access to shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The train line runs close to the back of the hotel. This didn’t bother me at all, but the trains do run through the night.

Nice, period room, enlivened by a large well-positioned mirror on the door. Bannistered mini-staircase to bathroom behind bedhead was a clever and attractive use of space to access the bathroom, which again had an excellent mirror. Comfortable bed and excellent bright lighting (fortunately not in period).

Hooks, There was absolutely nowhere to hang anything, apart from a small wardrobe tucked away in an alcove (which was, however, better than nothing).

The rooms are tiny and simple, but clean and tidy. Originally, breakfast was not available, but the staff told us they can arrange it if more guests request it, so they did it for 4 of us. My overall experience was good.

Wider selection of breakfast would have been better (like continental breakfast) Economy rooms mean that they are close to the railway and it can be noisy. Luckily, I managed to get upgraded to a standard room.

We asked for a fan and extra pillows and they were delivered very quickly to the room. The staff were all very helpful and and were polite and cheerful and professional. The Dinner in the restaurant was very good and everyone (we were a party of 6 at that stage) enjoyed their choices.

There was a smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room throughout the stay (luckily we were only sleeping in the room so it was bearable). The shower fixture leaked so much through where it joined the bath tap that it was unusable so we had to have baths instead. The room was rather small.

Friendly greeting from very helpful staff. Lovely room with a spacious bathroom, tv, and dressing table. I was able to arrange am early check-in, for an extra fee, which was a great help. There was even a hairdryer and a safe. I appreciated the shower gel and shampoo too.

It would have been nice to have a hand soap for the bathroom, but perhaps it was forgotten due to me checking in early.

Rooms were freshly decorated and there were new carpets in the rooms and halls. Ample supply of good toiletries. Excellent showers. Very hot water and a good shower force! I had read all the previous ratings but booked anyway as it was a good location, central and I was not so bothered by reports of 'clean but needs a lick of paint'. It had been freshly painted by mid -July 22. I am a solid sleeper so the warning about train noise did not bother me, and also it was a weekend so either way, not troubled at all by that. Immaculately clean bathroom and room. Could not stay somewhere that was not. Comfy bed. Nice sheets. Cool room in a very hot period in London/Berkshire/the south. Kettle in the room with excellent supply of tea bags, coffee, little milk containers which is unusual for mid-price hotel. Hairdryer that worked. Very nice white towels and plenty of them in different sizes - bath, hand etc. Staff were very welcoming and friendly on arrival and always helpful with any questions. Seemed like a friendly bar that was busy until 10pm but then immediately quiet. Did not eat at the hotel as was going to friends so cannot comment on the food/drink at the hotel, but walked through the bar and several people said hello. It can be intimidating walking through a pub but this was jolly and friendly - good atmosphere. It was a good place. Polite smiling manager. Reception area was clean and well decorated and spacious. I would stay again. The hotel is right in the centre of the village and central. Nearby hotels had very loud weddings going on as I passed at midnight and was grateful going back to the lovely quiet George Hotel. Thank you for a lovely time.

wifi signal was patchy but I was in a room at the end of the corridor so it may have been a distance from the wifi box problem. The hotel is on the Thames path and seems an ideal place to overnight or to stay longer. I really liked Pangbourne. I think you should take better pictures of your hotel - your hotel is welcoming, and lovely.

Location was great to where we needed to be. Lovely pub/bar/restaurant and hotel. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Lovely choice which included cereals, fresh juice, toast, full cooked breakfast including veggie option. The room was on the small size but its an old building and the rate was very reasonable so cant complain really. Will be going back to stay again.

Our room was out the back of the hotel and due to it being warm the windows were open, We were woken a little after 5am by the rubbish cart coming to empty all the empty bottles from the pub. This is far to early when you have a hotel attached to the pub. After that I could not get back to sleep.
