Everything was new, and clean and very well decorated. the bed was really comfy

The windows are old and you can hear everything from the street. Also it seems they charge you for everything, and we couldn't have breakfast in the restaurant because they were full. How is it possible that as a guest we can not be able to have dinner?

We have wanted to stay here for a while. Really lovely room with nice attention to detail. Radio on when you come in the room and smelt divine. Great tea and coffee (and lots of it!). Lovely shower and beautiful toiletries. Bed super comfortable and the room had the added benefit of air con so we were the perfect temperature! Also loved the personalized bags for the hair dryer, spare adapters and slippers. Lovely breakfast! The tea provided in the room was nicer that the one used for breakfast. Staff excellent and very welcoming.

Would be great to have robes to go with the slippers. Really not a fan of toilet brushes. I understand there needs to be one but there are some great silicone ones on the market that are perfect for multiple use. Cocktails were a little disappointing. Pricey for what you get and service lacking. We've been to many cocktail bars and this unfortunately didn't meet the expected standard.

*Excellent location for exploring Penzance with lots of nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The pub opposite (The Admiral Benbow) was full of character and had some great local beers on tap. *The room was well appointed and the furnishings were of a high quality. The building was old, which meant steep stairs and uneven floors, but that wasn't an issue for us. Loved the coffee machine and the bathroom products. *Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant, but it seemed popular, and the bar was very welcoming.

*There's no parking available, so we had to drive around for a little while to find some free on-street parking. It was then about a 10 min walk to the hotel. *The room was very much on the small side (particularly the bathroom) but fine for a night or two if you haven't got much luggage. *For the price point, it would have been nice to have breakfast included (or potentially a discounted breakfast in the restaurant)

We loved our one night stay here, and wish we'd had more time! Staff could not have been lovelier, we had a really rubbish journey to Penzance and got in at close to midnight, to find the staff had very thoughtfully left a bottle of bubbly to commiserate our difficult journey, which meant a lot to us! The room was very nice, great shower. The whole style of the hotel is gorgeous: tasteful, not pretentious but just very stylish and welcoming. We enjoyed sitting downstairs playing games in front of the fireplace. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Nothing, everything was wonderful!

Our room was clean, warm and the bed very comfortable. The mini bar/snacks were exceptionally stocked and tea/coffee making facilities left nothing to be desired. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast menu was comprehensive and very good.

My wife was not to keen on the sliding toilet/shower room door which leaves a large gap so does not provide any privacy. The rooms at the front of the hotel can be slightly noisy first thing in the morning but not a major problem.

We love artist in residence hotels and have stayed at most of them now. Wonderful locations and the Penzance one was particularly well located in the nicest part of the town with lovely artisan shops, coffee houses and bars. Lovely staff and lovely decor.

Our room was ground floor and smelt a bit damp though decor was stunning and lots of beautiful features. We ate in at the restaurant but we were both disappointed with the meal we received. Price did not reflect the food for both portion or presentation. It seemed that vegan options were vastly different as a result and seemed little care was given when comparing to meat or fish options presented.

The room was exactly what I needed for my short stay. Would highly recommend. The radio in the room was a nice touch. I have stayed before, and would again. This time I didn’t need dinner or breakfast, but in the past they have been great.

I guess the lack of parking might be something to consider but both times I’ve stayed I have found street parking within 50 yards, and as a back up there is a car park further down the hill plus parking along the seafront. I can safely say none of this would stop me staying here.

The setting is wonderful - right in the heart of the town - the decor is bohemian, original, thought through with cosy welcoming bedrooms, a stylish restaurant and a great new patio and bar out the back. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic and I felt incredibly welcome as a solo traveller. I hope I can steal myself to stay there again. I had a fabulous time.

Nothing.

Lovely place to rest our weary heads. Great interior design. Jonathan the manager could not have been nicer and more helpful. Masses of hot water for a bath after long day of walking . Very convenient location for SWC path walk

We were two ladies doing SWC path and wanted to share a room . I would say our single beds were more like children’s beds and the room was very small

A really lovely room that made the most of its space, the vibe was stylish yet relaxed with three beautiful windows. I had dinner and a cocktail in the garden and breakfast the next morning, all delicious. The location on Chapel Street is perfect, it's the prettiest street in town, and a stone's throw from the seafront. Front desk was incredibly helpful when I made a date mixup on my initial booking. Also super-close to the Abbey Slip natural swimming pool for a wonderful dip.
