This is one of the best guesthouses I've ever enjoyed - the location itself is great, being only a 5 minute walk from the seafront and the local park, and the room was spotlessly clean and comfy. But by far the best reason to stay here was the food: every day we had a freshly cooked hot breakfast. The portions were generous and the ingredients were delicious - thick bacon, buttery kippers, mounds of scrambled egg and thick, nutty malt bread. There were also plenty of cereals and spreads to enjoy. Amazingly it was all included in the price! The rates are extremely reasonable and check-in was so easy. They also had a selection of brochures showing you all the local places of interest. I absolutely loved my trip to Cornwall and hope to stay here again.

Room was very clean and cozy. Towels and toiletries were provided. It was very easy to self check in. Breakfast choices were great and all that we have tried in our 3 days stay was delicious. In addition, there are cereals, fruits and toast that you can help yourself to. Off street parking was easy and we have always managed to park nearby the property. Location is very good too.

All was good! However shower cabin in our room was very small, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you are a plus size person you might take that into consideration.

A large character Victorian terraced guest house offers an UNRIVALLED accommodation in its category and the BEST choice of quality breakfast in the area: from full English to Eggs Royale, Bennedict, or buttered kippers served with made-to-perfection poached eggs (2’30”) to American pancakes. The king-size beds with quality bedding contribute to a relaxing sleep. The property is in a quiet leafy location, that offers easy free parking. The hosts are professional, discreet and welcoming. The Pendennis will give long lasting memories of an exceptional stay.

First time being in Cornwall. Price was good for the room and breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and on the bigger size. The breakfast was great and tasty. I appreciate that there were lots to choose from too. Definitely good value for money.

The pressure of the shower could be better. And the mini fridge, though a very good idea - didn’t really do much to our water bottle. Again - these were very minor, minor issue that didn’t really affect the quality of our stay.

I liked how comfortable and quiet the guest house was. The room was spacious and very clean. The food was truly scrumptious (especially the pancakes with compote and yoghurt - yummy!). The breakfast station was surprisingly versatile and generous. The hosts were very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Well stoked up tea tray in the room. I liked the location too - not far from the major attractions. Parking was convenient on the road near the hotel.

Not enough light in the room - I couldn't see myself in the little wall-attached mirror near the washbasin. It would be better to have a separate mirror so I could place it near the lamp. The shower took me a long time to learn how to adjust the water temperature. It would be nice to have a cup for my toothbrush.

Breakfast was excellent with so much choice. Not only the standard cooked breakfast but also eggs Benedict, eggs Royale, vegetarian, pancakes etc. These choices in addition to cereal, fruit juice, croissants or toast. Initially I was a little perturbed by the self check in but there was no need to be concerned. Fresh milk & bottled water was privided to keep in your room for tea & coffee making. The property was very well presented and beautifully clean. There was encouragement that you could eat your own picnic/take away evening meal in the dining room. With two good supermarkets only 5 minutes walk away this was an easy option. There are no parking restrictions outside and out of season parking is easy. From the Pendennis it is an easy, level walk to the seafront, Moran Gardens and Penlee Art Gallery & Museum.

We were at the Pendennis House for a week and got this cosy room that we completely loved. The breakfast is diverse and delicious, surely a great choice to include. The house is literally 20 minutes away by car from all major hiking and visiting sites and quite around the corner from St. Michael's Mount. A quiet location, very clean, never had issues with parking, always was a pleasure coming back after a long day out. Thank you Richard & Sarah for being so accommodating to our needs and keeping in contact with us constantly prior to our visit.

Everything was on point.

Great location as it's very quiet and close to the ocean. The guest house is run by a very friendly couple. I was able to leave my luggage prior to check in as I arrived very early, but also after check out. This was very handy as I booked the night sleeper train which only left by 9:45 PM. It allowed me to fully enjoy my last day without carying my backpack. Breakfast was lovely, great choice and very tasty. The guest house was very clean. I also loved the chocolates that were left on the night stand. You don't often see that anymore and it just gives that extra touch.

Just a minor thing, as the stay was really lovely but I found the shower too be a bit small and it took me a moment to work out how to change the temperature or how to turn it on for that matter. An extra shelf in the bathroom would be useful as well.

Great location, only 5 minutes walk to the sea and the coastal path. Easy walking access to town. The breakfast is fantastic, the sausages awesome and a good selection of hot and cold options. Plenty of on street parking, no problems at all. Lots of local information information available by the front door and if that's not enough the owners are very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing not to like ! Coventry RFC lost to the Cornish pirates due to dodgy officiating!

This property is run by a very wonderful and friendly couple, Richard and Sarah. Breakfast was fantastic because Richard has culinary skills of a chef. Sarah is constantly making sure the guests are all well attended to and the entire wall of cereal, milk, juices, bread etc is evidence of the generous spread. We tried the full English Breakfast, Egg Benedict and Egg Royale. They were excellent. The rooms were spacious with nice clean sheets and towels.
