We had a great time at The Yacht Inn where we spent five days recently. The host family was extremely friendly and very helpful. Chef Dom cooked us amazingly good breakfasts to order day after day, besides regaling us with interesting conversation! The location of the hotel right on the promenade was perfect and there was a large free car park just in front that was super convenient for parking our rental car. The hotel was within a 10 minute walk from the railway station and the town centre, and perfectly situated for long walks on the promenade. Our room also had a great view of the bay. All in all, if we were to return to Penzance some ,day, we’d stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks to everyone at the Yacht Inn for our very pleasant experience. You all helped make our holiday memorable 😊

Nothing really, everything met our expectations.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels, toiletries provided, as well as tea and coffee making provisions (with dairy and non-dairy options). Despite being above a pub, the night I stayed it was quiet from about 9pm, but earplugs are provided just in case! Great choice of breakfast options, nicely cooked, well presented and promptly served. The staff were, without exception, super friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

There wasn’t anything wrong with it.

Very Comfortable, clean room with everything you could need, lovely towels, toiletries. Tea, coffee, and bottles of water which were great for our sailing on Scillion 111 the next day. Perfect location for picking up the Isles of Scilly ferry. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. We had a lovely evening meal food very good and great value for money. There is free 3 hr ( until 6 pm) roadside parking if you arrive 3 ish the car can remain there until next day. There is also a car park nearby. Excellent breakfast well presented. Would not hesitate to,stay again 🤩

We had an excellent breakfast and the young lady cooking the breakfast was superb. She was helpful and assisted us in getting around the area. The room was quiet and generally quite spacious with two very comfortable beds. We did hav a seaview as advertised. We were given a bottle of water each on day one but not day 2.

We did not realise there was no lift (this needs to be made very clear when advertising the place). Thankfully, the young man at reception took our bags up. The water pressure was quite low but they did warn us about this. The room was supposed to have a desk but there was none and only one bed had a reading light. The shower was over a bath but no rail to assist getting in and out. We were only given one very small tube of shower gel between the two of us for the two days.

Due to weather events on this weekend, we were actually unable to stay at the property. We stayed the previous week before travelling out to St. Mary's the next day, but due to a storm, our 3pm flight back to the mainland on this day was cancelled. Ratings are therefore based on the stay a week earlier.

The bed in our room was too squeaky, which made for a sleepless night, but we mentioned this to the owner in the morning, and they agreed to get this fixed before we returned after our trip to the Isles of Scilly. Great response to our feedback. Just unfortunate that we were not able to return

A very relaxed can do attitude made our 1 night stay very enjoyable. The yacht inn really was dog friendly which is rare and something we value very highly. The room and bathroom were spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. We got an excellent nights sleep despite the mayday celebration of sunrise on the front which was quite atmospheric. We also had some preparation to do in the morning for an important presentation and there was no question about letting us delay checkout a little. The full Cornish breakfast was also fabulous and once again extremely relaxed. Its so good not to have loads of unknown rules that you are scared of breaking so common in the bigger hotels.

The Yacht Inn is about a 15-minute walk from the Penzance Railway Station and a mere 10 minutes from the town center. Jubilee Pool Penzance Pool & Cafe is across Battery Road. It was quiet the 3 nights I was there. There is an armoire or closet with ample hangers. The toilet has a wall hook to hang your clothes. The shower has hot water. Enjoyed the marvelous full Cornish breakfast with coffee, juices, some fruits and bread. The staff were very friendly. Due to a railway strike; the Yacht Inn staff was able to extend my stay an extra day with minimal effort on my part.

I can't think of anything negative to share at this time.

Very friendly staff, good food (dinner and breakfast). Good vibes. Lovely fluffy bath sheets and premium natural body wash bar. Ear plugs in room if any noise bothered you (didn't need them).

Parking situation. I expected parking to be available but found there's only 3 hour limit free spaces in the road (if you can get one) or the pay and display car park opposite, which was crammed and had a 24 hour limit, not helpful if you arrived by car and are staying more than one night.

We loved where the Yacht Inn was on the seafront.p We were welcomed by friendly staff and we had a lovely delicious meal in the bar with some good beer and cider. The staff in the bar were happy and nothing was too much trouble. Our two family rooms were lovely and clean, the bedding and towels were fluffy and the beds really comfortable. All four adults and two children really enjoyed our stay and would certainly love to stay there again😊forgot to mention the breakfast was great too. Thank you😊

Near the Scillonian ferry. Good reviews. Willing to accept a one night booking. Comfortable bed. Exceptional chef. He prepared soup specially for me when he was told about my oesophageal problems. This is a pub so I was very surprised - in a good way. I have stayed in other hotels. Only one other was helpful with food in any way, but even they did not create something I could eat. Please tell him merci et bone continuation.
