Was really surprised at how pleasant our stay was. The room was great, traditional with a touch of style and well equipped. Food was excellent and the staff were both friendly and attentive

My only small issue was the ambiance in the dining area. With no background music and tables relatively close together it made it difficult to converse without feeling the whole room could hear everything being said. I know it’s probably subjective but I did find it a little awkward and judging by the stilted conversations around us I suspect I wasn’t the only one. It certainly wouldn’t stop me going back and overall the experience was great.

Breakfast was made to order with good selection of food, Dinner was exceptional, couldn't fault it an any way. Lovely experience of serving canapes in the lounge followed by dinner in the dining room. Room was lovely, separate seating area and nice little touches like bottles of water in the room biscuits and coffee / tea. Hotel was very clean. Staff are amazing, everyone was friendly and service was second to none. Well done to all.

Nothing, it delivered everything it said it would and was excellent. Plenty of parking and a short walk into town.

The hotel is located on top of the hill of the beautiful town of Pitlochry. We stayed at the attic room, which is big, brighty and with views to the mountains. Everything was perfect: king size and comfortable bed and a little space with sofa and table. We liked the most the big salon on the ground floor of the house with its chimney and chesters, where you can relax just reading or drinking something before the dinner. The breakfast was superb, served on the restaurant, quiet and with nice views to the gardens. We stayed there only for one night in our way to Isle of Skye, but we have liked to have spent more time there!

We had a brilliant stay - gorgeous hotel, great setting on a hill overlooking the countryside around Pitlochry, and only a quick walk into the centre of town. We got a bonus upgrade from a classic room to a garden room which is in the new building next to the main hotel, and was all beautiful with our own patio doors opening onto a little garden which was lovely to enjoy in the morning. We had a DBB deal and the food, service, lounge area with fireplace to relax in, was all amazing. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend!!

Being fussy but the bed in the garden lodge was very soft whereas we'd have preferred firm! But still had a good sleep.

The property itself is beautiful. The quality of service outstanding. The food is exceptional. Loved every minute. The staff can’t do enough for you - they were all fantastic but Adam’s friendliness & attentiveness really set him apart. We looked forward to seeing him each day of our stay.

The only thing (and it’s a very small issue) was the strength of the shower in the suite - it was a wee bit on the weak side.

Second visit there and it was just as good as before. Excellent chef and lovely staff. Spacious well equipped rooms all with lovely views over wonderful Highland scenery. Electric charging vat reasonable cost was a bonus for us. Food and service excellent- I’d recommend the dinner B&B package because this is the best eating “out” in town!

Beautiful, small, exclusive hotel with loads of charm. Our room was beautifully presented and spotless. All staff members were friendly and genuine and the food in the hotel restaurant was absolutely stunning. The dining experience was the real highlight, with incredible cuisine. Every meal (including breakfast) was a delight. The whole experience was first class, without being in the slightest bit pretentious.

Room size was large, beautiful views, very nice staff, breakfast porridge was the best I’ve had so far in country, and we enjoyed the dinner at the hotel. It is easy to walk from the hotel to anywhere in town, so park and walk. We are from Fl and found the room a little warm, but that may just because we are so used to air conditioning. Nice stay.

A little warm in the room,so August might be tough sleeping if you are used to a cold home

We have now stayed at Knochendarroch three times in 9 years. The whole experience has never changed. From the very comfortable and charming furnishings to the fine dining and daily menu change, my husband and I have always enjoyed our entire time. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. the location is great as there is a view down to the town.

Cannot fault anything.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel set high in the centre of Pitlochry with beautiful views. The level of service and attention to detail was superb and hard to find in this day and age. On arrival we were upgraded to a superior room and it was superb with lots of windows, a seating area and tv, a separate bedroom with beautiful soft furnishings and a further tv and a large bathroom with bath and shower. The canopies in the lounge before dinner was a lovely touch and the food was superb. All in all this was a great experience and it was obvious the owners had poured lots of love into this building, we certainly will be back.
