They upgraded our room that included a bay window looking out onto the charming little town. We absolutely loved it. The room was very clean, filled with charm and the bed was super comfortable. The woman who staffed the desk was extremely sweet, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is fantastic, large and actually quite stunning. When you stay overnight, they essentially discount the breakfast, which is an added bonus. There is quite a lot to explore in and around Pitlochry and we wished we had stayed longer!

There was nothing not to like. McKays is central to Pitlochry, which is a very charming place filled with people and wonderful little stores, and restaurants. In the evening, the town gets really quiet.

Some rooms are decorated to a very high standard and some rooms are a bit tired and need some tlc. Our room was needing some tlc, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable but it was lacking the extra little things that the refurbished rooms had. If we hadn’t stayed in this hotel before we probably would be quite happy but it’s expensive and I don’t think the price of our room reflected the comfort of other rooms we have stayed in previously

We booked the "McKay's Suite" for the night and wow, what a fantastic place to stay. The room was massive and pleasantly decorated, with separate areas for cooking / dining, lounging and sleeping. They also have a huge, walk-in wardrobe for storage. En-suite has a bath and large walk in shower. Some areas have slightly lowered ceilings, so anyone overly tall may struggle

No criticisms of the room, but a couple of additional features may be beneficial. A full length mirror & an additional television closer to the bed

Location can not be better for staying at Pitlochry, absolutely loved the design from the rooms to the restaurant and halls, restaurant provided some of the best food I've had in a long time, the room was spacious and comfortable. Check-in was very easy and staff were absolutely lovely.

Sadly the room was slightly too noisy, clear voices from the street below but more disturbing was the loud plumbing, whenever a toilet or sink was used in a nearby room, a loud noise was emitted, thankfully it wasn't too busy nor any night owls. Parking could become troublesome at busier times of years as there is approximately around eight spaces on-site and a back street which is safe enough but not guaranteed.

When we checked in the lady on the desk realised I had a walking stick and relocated us automatically. She really went beyond to make us comfortable. The room we had was given was fantastic we would definitely ask for that room if we stopped again.The staff in the restaurant and at the bar were also really friendly when ordering food and drink they also acknowledged us later on on the day. Made you feel good.

Nothing really upset us, we was asked to change our breakfast time to earlier on Sunday as they were busy at 9. which was our preferred time.Bit disappointing as it was my birthday and we was going to have a late start. But every one made our weekend great. So thanks to everyone.

the tartan carpet!! and the tartan everything else ❤️comfy bed. big room. great bathroom. right in town so just a walk to shops. really great staff. we loved everything about the room and the checking in process. nice food and drinks at the bar restaurant onsite ✔️ I read some comments about the rooms being too warm, we just opened a window a tiny bit and it was fine

there's not much to dislike about this place but maybe one small thing - the access was all about steps on different levels. not a big deal but may put some less agile people off

Lovely village and the hotel is in the centre of Pitlochry. The room was lovely couldn’t fault it at all. Lovely breakfast The young girl in the restaurant was really good and helpful on the Saturday night

It’s a bit over priced for food and drink. There is also not a great selection of lager but it’s not the end of the world. We also had a member of our band who has a disability who struggles with stairs. There’s no disabled facilities at this hotel which maybe needs to be looked at

The location is fab and parking is OK as you have side streets if you can't get into car park which is free parking.Hotel deco lovely and very clean.Good breakfast included in rate.Staff very pleasant and evening meal was lovely.Would defo recommend.

We had a lovely twin room but the only problem was the car park light shone brightly into the room at night even with the curtains shut so sleep was interrupted due to the brightness of the room recommend a black out blind on departure at reception.Also at breakfast not a lot of variety of cereals or fresh fruits bit disappointing.

This is a great hotel for a visit to Pitlochry. Everything is within easy walking distance. Great breakfast included. Room was a decent size & had just been re-done, walk in shower - felt very spacious.

Lovely curtains & soft furnishings, but the curtains had big gaps on the sides so they let the light in (summer in Scotland, it can be light from 4 am to 11 pm) I just shoved pillows in to close the bottom & side gaps, & luckily it wasn't a sunny morning so it didn't matter that light was coming in from the top! I would generally recommend bringing your own 'black out' suction cup shade when travelling in Scotland in summer as I've noticed a lot of places forget the black out need......they sell them for children but they work just as well for adults ;)

location is good and they have a good restaurant and live music. the new rooms are lovely and they have brilliant showers with highland soaps Lemongrass and ginger toiletries 😄

the car park was full on arrival and it was difficult to get parked close by. ended up in a pay car park that I had to go and out a ticket on the car at 830 am ! the new rooms are excellent but there are very few electric sockets in our room (116) the ones next to the bed were behind the bedside cabinet, and there is one behind the dressing table mirror. (not obvious with out searching) for drying hair. they could do with one near the door as there is a large mirror with good light.
