Breakfast was fantastic. A bit of everything was offered. WE had dinner in the bar one evening with live entertainment. That was very enjoyable

Very nice large hotel in large grounds. Basic Spa - just a swimming pool as most of the other facilities were being refurbished. Good buffet style breakfast with excellent views from the restaurant. Impressive public areas with plenty of quiet places to have a drink.

On arrival, the receptionist told us we were in the basement! Definitely not selling the benefits! Made the mistake of telling the restaurant manager that 1 of the staff was very efficient - only to be told very abruptly that all of the staff were efficient. So that will teach me not to compliment the service again! Nice restaurant, but a coach party arriving all at once made the serving area very busy.

My partner and I spent 3 days here, and from the stunning views as you drive up, it made me feel happy to be there. I would definitely recommend a walk around the grounds. The scenery was amazing. As soon as we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and reassured us that if we needed anything to let them know. Our room had a beautiful view and was extremely clean. It had a flat screen tv, and I was very pleased they had netflix and amazon Prime, which I could log into. Basic tea and coffee facilities were topped up when needed. You can also have breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you want to. The meals we had were delicious. The breakfast buffet had everything you could possibly want. The staff were very organised and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. The decor was interesting and old-fashioned, and there were a lot of stag head statues. They had some quirky items on display along with beautiful flower arrangements throughout the hotel. They had a museum in the basement, well worth a look. I didn't use the spa facilities. I would definitely go back again. Credit to all the staff as it is a busy hotel. They were friendly and efficient and made you feel well looked after.

The lift/elevator had a mind of its own and took a while to get to your floor. Our room was nicely decorated but was smaller than I expected.

Single Room: fabulous view over the countryside; comfortable and good sized bed for a single person; bath sheets and hand towels. Quick filling bath with shower options. Breakfast: Buffet breakfast option with tremendous selection of items on offer, which included Scottish specialism of haggis, pancakes, tattie scones and black pudding. Dinner: Two sittings offered. Three course meal, which changes each day, caters for dietary needs. Delicious and well presented. Staff able to suggest suitable wine accompaniment.

Single room perhaps a little bijou but adequate. Beautifully clean, though small, pool but some of the spa facilities are still being renovated. Museum was blocked off because workmen painting.

Taking into consideration the age of the hotel, it had that comfortable old hotel feel which I like. It wasn’t a modern, plasticky place, but modernised in the places it especially mattered. The bathroom in my room was excellent with a generously, lovely, spacious shower. I would certainly stay again.

Didn’t like the extra charges in the restaurant over and above the existing menu. I would have preferred a separate a la carte restaurant. The ridiculously priced drinks in the bar, far too expensive for such a venue. I spent two nights in your bar and noticed no one buying whiskey, no wonder, at the stupid, ridiculous prices.

I cannot be effusive enough in describing this exceptional property. The setting is stunning, the hotel is gorgeous, the staff is very kind and helpful (extra shout-out to amazing Andrew at the front desk!), and you DO feel like you are staying in a palace. In addition, there are many things to do in and around the property like a "pitch and putt" golf course, hiking trails, snooker, outside tables for enjoying food and drink, live music...And if you must leave - hard as it is - the town is a 5 minute walk. Our twenty something kids loved it as much as we did! How's that for an endorsement!

the property from entrance to the rooms were luxurious and traditional (exactly what we wanted for this leg of our journey). The room was of ample sizing for a family. extremely comfortable, spacious and the perfect temperature. wish we would have stayed for longer. The amenities from the games room, to the museum, the pool/spa and the generous breakfast were excellent value for money.

Everything was great!! The staff were friendly and accommodating; manager even provided us with an after hours meal of sandwiches for the kids when we checked in after 10pm (above and beyond customer service). ps…they have a games room!

The location was superb. The hotel imposing and majestic. During their stay, on the day of our arrival, my daughter and her family moved from the hotel to one of the lodges. We all had a wonderful surprise to discover that they were in the lodge next-door to ours! It was absolutely delightful and made our holiday even more enjoyable.

I was a little disappointed with the gym. I found it too small, a bit claustrophobic and not very well equipped. However, this didn't really mar my overall enjoyment of my stay as everything else was delightful.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and staff happy to help. We had a valley view room so we were seated at the window for breakfast as well eac day, a nice touch. The grounds are beautiful, Hotel looks majestic perched on the hill. Beds were comfy, spa was top class, live music in the Stags Head bar a nice touch to accompany our fabulous dinner.

The price of the stay was quite high, and although the hotel lived up to the initial costs, drinks and food in the bar and restaurant were priced a lot higher than I expected. We ate in Pitlochry village instead.
