We were self catering in one of the coach houses a very short drive from the pub. The accommodation had been beautifully renovated and very spacious. The bathroom was huge and luxurious. A wood burner was set ready to burn, but the heating was so good we didn't need it. The dishes and cutlery was provided in a separate box indicating it had been sterilized from the last use which was really reassuring. The accommodation had direct access to a lovely garden and private parking. Would definitely return given the chance.

Would have liked a few games or books to pass the time as it rained for our whole stay.

It represents a continuing expression of comfortable and caring service in the best traditions of country house hospitality. Everything is relaxed and orderly. The warmth of the welcome and the quality of the accommodation are exemplary. The food and drink are also of exceptional quality. The hotel staff are quietly efficient, always pleasant and helpful, yet never intrusive.

The noise of some other guests ( groups who behave as if they are the only ones who matter, golfers I suspect). This phenomenon I observed also on a previous visit.

The room was warm and very comfortable. Staff were all very friendly, courteous, and efficient. The hotel is cosy with a lovely wood burning stove. We felt welcome and at home. There are walks to the river and woods from the hotel, and only a few miles away is the Hermitage walk at Dunkfield. A round 4 mile spectacular walk taking in river, waterfalls, woods, and views of the mountains. An excellent 3 day stay !

We enjoyed our food, which was good but possibly not the very best we've experienced for similar prices at other B and B's/ hotels. However, we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel as so good in so many respects.

Beautiful cottage and location Spacious bedrooms , lovely back garden. Super comfy beds. Lovely log burning fire. Dog friendly so could bring my wee Dachshund Rosie. Just great place overall Food was amazing in the Meikleour Arms. Must book in advance as it gets busy as we couldn’t book our second night.

The only thing was a man putting out chairs and table in the garden and constructing them on our second day whilst we were in the cottage. Not a huge deal but, it didn’t feel 100% private and ours for the 2 days with this happening. 🤷‍♀️

everything is very new and so spotlessly clean and in excellent order. The decor was immaculate, both the rented house and the hotel. The food was pretty good, and breakfast was good too. The rented house was spacious, and had a lovely garden space around it, parking was excellent, and everything works, it was good.

the road between the hotel and the stables where the house was, while private and very quiet is unlit and so to walk to the restaurant you are in the dark. Luckily I had a torch and it was a bit of fun but in poor weather this might not be so good. The breakfast menu lacked a little variety or sparkle for my taste although the food I had was excellent. The properties policy of no cancellations and no refunds is a little fierce, but its exactly what the booking states so can't really complain.

Perfect place for a pit stop when travelling. Our room was generously sized along with the bathroom. We stayed during a heatwave and had already been provided with a fan in the room. I am 27 weeks pregnant so comfort is everything and we were met with a large, comfortable bed & pillows which made the stay so much more relaxing for me. Gorgeous beer garden and well maintained grounds. We really wanted somewhere in which we didn’t have to leave to find somewhere else to eat in the evening but still served good food and not only was the food good, it was exceptional.

We couldn’t fault this little gem!

We stayed at The Stable Cottages. It was very clean and every nook and cranny was cleaned. The room was very spacious and much nicer than it looked in the photos. And the staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was convenient because you could basically eat dinner at any time. Breakfast was average. The grounds are very large and it was fun to walk around. We will definitely choose this hotel when staying in the area.

The cottage was lovely, but the real highlight was the food and the walk from the cottage to the pub for dinner and breakfast. The venison I had at dinner was one of the best meals I have had in some time, and the breakfast was excellent too. Service was very good - friendly but not over-attentive. Walking through the estate to breakfast in the morning, hearing woodpeckers in the trees and watching deer run across neighbouring fields was the icing on the cake.

It was great that milk was provided for making tea (and thank you for the soya milk) but it would have been even nicer to have some biscuits too.

Location, so peaceful and calming. Friendly efficient staff throughout from check in to bar and restaurant service. The newly refurbished bar area is welcoming, very tasteful and comfortable. Food first class, good breakfast choice.

Arrival at the back of the hotel when checking in is a bit underwhelming in comparison with the quaint frontage of the hotel, which is a shame. Don’t be put off….what lies inside is just fantastic!!

The size of the rooms. The location of your establishment. The parking. The restaurant. The beautiful property. These were all excellent.

Having to make reservations for breakfast. It didn't seem necessary and we were chastised a little when we arrived late even though our party was usually/always smaller than the reservation and the restaurant was never too busy as we observed.
