What can I say other than this was a fantastic stay. The room was great, and even in the heat was very comfortable. The standards of cleanliness throughout the establishment were great. The included cooked breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection of cereals available alongside. The staff were very welcoming and all interactions made the stay very easy. The location was fantastic, just a short walk away from everything you'd need in the town, including the Barbican area which has a huge amount on offer. We stayed to see Muse at the Plymouth football stadium and would definitely recommend a stay here for anything similar. The advantage of being able to park outside cannot be understated and made arriving a breeze, and considering the price for the parking was £8, you can't really complain. Especially as the council charge a damn site more themselves.

Stayed in the single room. basic decor, nothing fancy but the bed was comfy enough and there was a kettle and water to make tea / instant coffee with a few biscuits as well if you wanted. There was a TV, a sink, a desk with chair and space for hanging clothes with hangers. The heating worked but not required, slept with window open. Room window looked onto front street where my car was parked. The Guest house offered discounted on-street parking which was another plus point £6 from check-in til 10am next morning. This room wasn’t an en-suit (which I was aware of) so toilet/shower was on floor above, this wasn’t a problem for me and the shower was adequate. I ended up extending my stay. Fresh towels provided every day and bed linen changed every day. Full English Breakfast was very good with proper fresh coffee in the pot and nice thick sliced fresh toast. There was also fruit yoghurt and cereal available. The woman running the place serving breakfast and cleaning the rooms etc was very nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful as was another woman I spoke to. It looks like they also offer a discounted price for the Holiday Inn’s fitness suite.

Really nice place to stay. Good location, within walking distance to the sea and all touristy places. Plenty of parking in front which is paid parking. Hosts, and their staff, were super friendly and helpful. Even loaned us a nice big umbrella when it was raining. The bedroom (Number 4) was large with a nice modern en-suite with super fluffy towels. The shower worked great with nice hot water. Nice large flat screen TV can be watched when in bed! The large double bed was very comfy. We slept like babies! There was tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc with a nice big kettle. Overall a really nice stay which we would highly recommend.

Owner introduced himself upon arrival, a warm welcome offered and first impression in the hallway was clean and fresh accomodation. Keys handed over swiftly, you can come and go as you please and breakfast times given as 8 to 9.30. Room was for 3 guests and was good, fresh bedding and clean and tidy. Had a good nights sleep after exploring Plymouth, bed was firm and hotel very quiet. Shower and toilet clean. Shower was quite powerful ! Plenty of towels and soap/shampoo/body wash on hand. Breakfast was excellent, cereal, fruit, full English quick and piping hot served with a smile in a pleasant large dining room. Parking permits were available (£16 a day out on the street) but Hotel will offer you these for £8 a day - half price ! Great location, great B&B, would use again absolutely !

Hotel owner offered a return discount if we book with him directly next time which was a good offer, it's all about the price and if I can get some pennies off then all the better ! I couldnt fault our stay, it was 2 adults and my 17 year old. Keith (the owner) offers a single room for £59 which is good if you are on your own.

Breakfast was very good. Staff extremely hospitable. Toilet on different floor to my (known) non -ensuite room, but it was an inexpensive room so that was why! Comfy bed with high view of the city.Extra touches like a fan heater was nice. Very beautiful, grand old building.

Going to a different floor for the bathroom (which would have initially been a two floor trek, but the kind lady swapped my room with another single -thank you!).

Staff were excellent. There wasn't anything that was too much trouble. The welcome was superb and they made you feel at home. The room was clean and it was nice to be able to open the window and as we had a juliette balcony it was a bonus. Tea and coffee were in abundance and we were left biscuits and a bottle of water as well. Asked for more coffee and milk.... no problem.

Hated the kettle that was in the room. It didn't switch itself off and for just a few extra pound a much nicer one could be bought. The shower kept running hot.. extremely hot.. and then cold when turning it down a very little on the dial.

Warm welcome from Keith and Sally, the room was spacious and bed very comfortable, tea and coffee makings available in the room plus a hairdryer. Breakfast was excellent. Great location, close to the Hoe easy walk to the Barbican. Parking was available close to the property.

A right little gem 💎… very pleasant staff, spotlessly clean room, tea/coffee facilities, free Wi-Fi … a stones throw away from the city centre and not far from the train station …lots of choice for breakfast … we chose the cooked breakfast and it was delicious, 10/10 ! If you like a home from home feel then you won’t be disappointed… I’ve already told them I will be back next visit .

Neighbours in room above stomping about till 12 Piping...when someone above either used a shower, sink, or toilet, there was a fast banging noise which slowed down and stopped but woke my child as at night it was so loud ...sounded like someone hammering !

We were given Room 10 on the top floor. 7 flights of 13 stairs to negotiate with cases. No lift. it woukd have been handy to be told that before we arrived. We managed but the staff wouldn’t have any idea that I suffer with arthritis in my knee and hip which made it a bit tricky. Bathroom little small. Shower wouldn’t stay on had to keep pressing the button
