Stayed in room 1, Ground floor, good sized room, comfortable, clean. Kitchenette, including hob, with all utensils and cleaning products you could need. Good sized shower. Great location with Tesco's not far. Few minutes walk to the water. Quiet, more of an airbnb feel than a hotel. Clear instructions in email about parking, how to use coffee machine, hob etc. Stayed in extremely hot weather so electric fan provided was a blessing. Enjoyable stay overall.

Online check in, requiring uploading of I.D, which must be done in advance to gain access codes. Luckily I checked my messages prior, but many people were stranded, waiting for their company who had booked on their behalf to chase details, or simply hadn't checked email to do this as assumed it's a standard welcoming message. Maybe a direct text/call explaining the need to do this as is rather unusual, no staff on site to help. Front door also slams shut if not careful and the battery for the access code tends to fall off, therefore denying any entry at all.

Great location in Plymouth and only 25 min walk from train station. Room was clean and comfortable, we had basement room 6, with twin beds and a small kitchenette, fridge, microwave, kettle, tea coffee milk sachets provided. Decent hot shower, heated towel rail. Hairdryer, iron and board which didn't use and open wardrobe hanging space. Table and chairs and TV with all the channels. 5 min walk to seaviews, Tesco nearby for supplies and Plymouth offers lots of choice for restaurants all walking distance. Excellent value for money esp as it was Easter weekend, would recommend and would book again. Thanks

The only tiniest downside was the view which was an internal concrete courtyard with steps to a staff only access area but we only slept in room so not an issue.

no staff on-site, bit fiddly getting in. Parking had to be paid even at night and it's by the calendar day so if you are staying one night you have to pay two times, we got a parking ticket because the car reg was not clearly written. Might be better to go with ringgo.

Fabulous location, loved that there was a fridge and microwave. I have been cleaning peoples house for over 30 years, my standards are high, couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room ( food or something stuck on the blind that should have been noticed and washed off) but apart from that spotless. lovely overnight stay. would definitely come again.

Got up in the morning to put more parking time on the car and found the back and batteries from the thingy that you have to put the numbers in to enter the property on the floor, so I put them back in, would have been impossible for anyone to enter the property.

Lots of stairs & no lift. 1 pillow per person - extra pillows provided ..but minus pillow cases. Kitchenette a bonus - toaster would be handy to make a quick breakfast. Coffee machine excellent addition - but no instructions, several pods wasted trying to make correctly and adding too much water so a bit of a waste. Parking advertised at £7 per day, but you actually have to pay for two days (unless you are leaving super early) so in reality parking costs £14, worth it to park directly outside, but a little misleading.

We liked the small kitchenette with crockery and cutlery, which was very useful during our stay. The bathroom was clear and well set out (although both soap dispensers were empty on our arrival). The beds were comfy and the room was the perfect size for two people. The room was not affected by outside noise (there was a boiler close to our room that went off during the night but it wasn't very loud) and the check in procedure was straightforward and easy to follow.

We had room 5 in the basement and it was so hot with no air, although I appreciate it was during the heatwave. However, the large sash window accessed the backyard and meant that if it was open even a little, it could be fully opened from outside so the window couldn't be left open while we were out or during the night making the room unbearably hot. A large fan would therefore be an essential extra in the room during the summer.

Spotless room, comfortable beds, good location and great value for money! The room had a kettle, a microwave and plenty of tea and coffee facilities. If we ever visit Plymouth again we will definitely be returning to Ocean stays.

The shower was surprisingly big, with strong pressure and hot water. Having the coffee machine in the room was nice. The check-in system was thorough but clear. It was close to the city centre. It was very clean, though the fridge smelled a bit.

The biggest issue was the thin walls. The room next door was so badly sound insulated that it felt like the people were in our room when talking. Luckily they went out and came back fairly early. The fridge was noisy. We emailed in advance, when booking, asking for parking permits and not to be placed on the basement or ground floor, but it was not responded to and we were given a ground floor room. When we called when we got there, the permits got sorted within minutes. One of the blinds was broken and curtain ripped at the top.

everything. I couldn’t fault anything with my room. I/we travel every week and this is as good as I gets. Grd floor kings size bed very comfortable, extremely well presented, amenities and bathroom 10/10 plus. I was luck as I got a cheap deal but the property was worth what the hotel normally charges. I will be staying again as I was left very impressed with the stand the establishment has met and the location was good for me as well. Booking this accommodation you won’t be disappointed (I had room 2)

So happy I booked this gem. Great location - easy walk into town or up to the Hoe. There wasn't parking directly outside but found a space just down the road. I'd organised for a parking permit but didn't require it as we arrived later than expected. Lovely building. I was given all the instructions to find and enter the building and our room. Lovely room - really nicely decorated, I'd requested a twin room. The beds were comfy, there was a kitchen space with fridge, hob, microwave and sink. Coffee machine and kettle with tea, coffee and milk. Cutlery and crockery all available in the room. Shower room and toilet all clean and a good size. After a long day travelling it was nice to arrive, get some dinner and relax watching TV in bed. If we travel back to Plymouth I'd definitely look to book here again.

Nothing. Everything was great. I'd already been informed that parking wasn't guaranteed especially outside the building and I found a space just down the road.
