Perfectly located near to the Hoe. Suzy and Ian (and Twiglet) were fantastic hosts. They made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was very comfortable - the shower was great! The hotel is so interesting with its craft themes. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice.

The Craft House is a charming home that husband and wife team, Susie and Ian (please excuse spelling!) have created with design features to compliment the home itself. Lovely wall colors welcome the bricolage that decorates the walls and floors of the house. It is very cozy, and this lovely couple graciously address one's needs. The room itself was cozy, in a sweet corner of the hall, lending windows that look out in two directions for a nice view and fresh air. Access to the wonderful path leadng to the city center is a moment's walk away. And access to the ferries is also easy. I recommend this lovely guest hotel and commend the owners for their efforts to create a gracious stay for their clients.

The decor is amazing and unique, and everything has been carefully and thoughtfully designed. We enjoyed our stay immensely and were so comfortable. Ian & Suzy are lovely hosts, we enjoyed meeting them.

Lovely individual hotel if you are looking for something a bit different. Exceptionally clean and staff couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had as it was all fresh and local.

This is a beautiful, elegant, and well managed establishment. Though a bed and breakfast, it feels more like you are staying at your rich uncle’s house in the English countryside. The management team, (Ian, Suzi and their lovely Scottish Terrier, Twigs) really make you feel at home. They go above and beyond to help you feel comfortable not only at The Craft House but in the town of Plymouth. The Craft House is centrally located, only a 2 minute walk from the breathtaking panoramic views at The Hoe and; a 3 minute walk from The Citadel; a 5 minute walk from the city centre and a 7 minute walk from The Barbican. Highlights of The Craft House are, the duvet (heavenly), the bathroom with heated floors and heated towel rack; the fact that the establishment is eco-friendly and sustainable; the lounge area with a very well stocked bar; Twigly the Scottish Terrier; the staff; the décor throughout the entire building; the quiet street that it is on; the breakfast (oh those scones! I mean, rock cakes). I highly recommend The Craft House if you are visiting Plymouth. It will elevate your stay in this beautiful, picturesque English coastal town!

Suzy & Ian were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They rang taxis, found the answer to our questions about the area, recommended great restaurants etc. the breakfasts were superb! Their bar area is a great area to meet. The bed was very comfortable. Ian carried two very heavy suitcases to our room without effort. They were wonderful hosts. The house has been decorated in a very stylish way with attention to every detail. Lovely touches like chocolate bars in the room along with an extensive array of drink options.

Beautifully renovated property just a few minutes walk from The Hoe. Ian & Suzy we’re very friendly and helpful. My room was well equipped and very comfortable. I enjoyed a lovely breakfast on both days. I didn’t get time to take advantage of the crafts and games available, but hope to do so next time

Great location, close to Plymouth Pavilions, Theatre Royal and The Barbican. Lovely looking hotel and individually designed rooms, great attention to detail. Really comfortable bed and very quiet area, no traffic noise from the road outside even though we were at front of property. All the public spaces had really interesting items on the walls and floors, so much nicer than a sterile, corporate hotel. The owners Suzi and Ian were very friendly and attentive, fabulous hosting skills. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, great quality ingredients in a quirkily designed dining room with really interesting murals on the walls.

Recently renovated to a very high standard, we had a cosy double which was fine for 2 and gorgeous decor. The hosts were super friendly and helpful, breakfast also great. It was a perfect location for us as close to the Barbican area for food and drink and walking distance to the Brittany ferry terminal. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
