The hotel is really lovely, and totally dog friendly. Our room was super with a large en-suite. The bed was very comfortable. It is ten minutes walk max from the beach. The breakfast was tasty and well cooked with a lovely selection to choose from and all palates catered for. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We hope to be back soon.

Parking is a bit tricky, so take up the option of parking assistance. When we went in to our room, the heating was high so we had to open some windows to cool it down, but one we had done that it was super.

Loved the whole feel and ambience of the hotel and the location was very quiet and peaceful. We had a room on the top floor which was a lovely size and came with an extremely comfortable bed. We opted for the gated parking and forgot about the car for two days while we enjoyed eating at the hotel on the Saturday and then across the road in the Florence pub for a delicious Sunday roast !!! This was our first time here and we picked it at random - so glad we did and will definitely be returning again. All the staff were so helpful and Charlotte was fantastic.

Small niggle - although the car parking is secure (electric sliding gate) it would be nice if the side gate which gives guests access to the sister accommodation was also kept closed.

The rooms were spacious, clean and perfect temperature. It had everything I needed and even flyers for things around the area. Tea and coffee in room with biscuits. A hair dryer. Staff were accessible 24-7 and super friendly. The breakfast was outstanding and could turn anything gluten free. They put our luggage in a safe place after our stay so we could have a day in portsmouth without suitcases. We could then collect this at any time. There is so much to talk about, I will recommend this to family and friends!

When I arrived the staff were so friendly. There was an issue with the room I originally booked and without any hesitation, they upgraded me to a suite prior to my arrival without any additional costs. The room itself was very spacious and had its own garden attached. Im sure the room I would have got would have been worth every penny however, the room they provided me with would have been worth the money had I originally gone with that option. The suite was easily accessible and had lot of things that allowed the room to feel very private which helped me to wind down before a busy week. Im certain I had neighbours but I wouldn’t know because the rooms we’re pretty sound proof! I would definitely recommend! I will be 100% be going again at some point!

(Silly little inconvenience) There was a small pathway in the suite that took you towards the bathroom, garden and a little lounge area. At night that was pretty eerie to look down with the lights off. I think because of where the bed is situated, you just stare it down as you’re attempting to sleep. Maybe consider a door there 😂 Aside from the minor inconvenience, I really cannot fault this hotel or the staff!

Room was well furnished and bed was comfortable. Well located near the seafront of Southsea and about 40 minute coastal walk to Portsmouth which was lovely in the sunset. They can issue car parking permits to park on the streets but we did not realise and paid for parking on the seafront overnight.

It is a little odd in that they own a few properties in close proximity so your bedroom might not be in the same building as the receptions and breakfast area. Not that it matters that much.

Location was hard to find as our sat nav wouldn’t pick up address so had to use our phone. The hotel was very nice. We got upgraded to a lovely big room as we had a Labrador , so that was lovely. The young lady on front desk was very nice , polite and very helpful. The room was fantastic, bed very comfortable, shower was great . Very well decorated. Had tea and coffee facilities. The breakfast was fantastic . Lots of choice and could even take our dog in with us as had a room specially for taking your dogs to breakfast. Definitely stay there again

The room was beautiful. Exceptionally decorated, clean & fresh looking. Shower room was a little on the small side, but the bedroom was spacious and light.

I forget to book breakfast so we had it added by the hotel. Very disappointed that to buy toast, tea & coffee was an additional charge to the breakfast..in a 4 star hotel! Annoying. There was no water in the room, again an over-sight for a 4 star hotel and no robes.

The room was small but beautifully decorated and furnished, it have everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. Breakfast had a last selection on an A L'carte menu and was delicious. We were also delighted to be able to take our dog, the hotel is very dog friendly.

The only negative was the parking. We had not pre-booked and as we arrived late, we did have trouble parking in the surrounding streets.

The staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly, from check in to check out. We have stayed three times, in a different room each time, and all have been wonderfully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast included in the room rate is also great. The free parking is also a bonus.

On this particular stay, the guests in the room above were quite noisy late at night and early in the morning, and as this and older builder the noise travelled down. This however is entirely inconsiderate guests and no fault of the hotel.

The lady on reception when we arrived was lovely and really kind. The bed was super comfy and the room was spotless. Loved the shower.

Parking in the area is a bit of a nightmare- there was loads of construction work happening on some nearby buildings and the roads are so narrow it’s hard to find space. There was allocated parking but a construction vehicle had half blocked us in so took some serious manoeuvre skills !!!
