Location - 30 minute walk to the Ship museums - Mary Rose, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, etc. Clean room, comfy bed, rain showerhead in bathroom for a luxurious shower! After booking online, within minutes, they gave us the details (code) to get into our room because there is no front desk. We would definitely stay here again!

No parking provided. You can’t park right out side of the lodging. It is only 2 hours free parking and you have to move it, no matter what time of day. Get Ringgo parking app before you arrive and check the signs to make sure you can park there. It will save you so much hassle and worry about parking on the street during the non free times. Took me several hours to get it registered to park which you can only do with a live agent via chat during business hours if you have an international phone number. It is free to park on the street from 8 am- 6 pm. Check signs to make sure you are parking in the right place.

We booked a family suite and were surprised to find it was more of a self contained flat. We went in and off a small hallway there was 2 separate bedrooms and a small separate kitchenette with table and chairs which was great as we have young child and are use to having to all be in one room when staying in a hotel.

Only down side was the entrance. It is a self checkin hotel so you don't meet any staff and the stairs to access the rooms are external. The stairs are quite steep, metal and are not covered so when we arrived it was already dark raining and windy so trying to get 2 small children and bags upstairs was a little unsettling. Also lovely shower but not great for young children as it's a monsoon shower with no separate attached so if you want to wash them your getting wet

We stayed in room 7 which has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. It was super modern and clean. We stayed for the aug bank holiday for the Victorious festival and the location couldn't have been better, about 10 min walk to Southsea common. There are narrow outside steps to the room, with code entry. The code is provided the day before arrival. One member of our party had an electric scooter which we could store at the entrance (top of stairs). The area is lovely, beautiful streets with bars and restaurants. The bedrooms were big and it was a bonus having a kitchen with a full sized fridge. The bathroom was excellent. We had a fantastic sleep, really quiet and comfortable, you would never know you were above a bar. We would highly recommend this place and would love to stay again if in the area.

The window of the smaller room doesn't open so it got a little hot due to the good weather. There is a fan provided in both rooms which is good. This room also didn't have a remote control for the TV, it took us a while to figure out the buttons to get it to work without. It would be really useful to have a tea towel in the kitchen so we could dry up and not just leave cups etc draining on the side.

Spotlessly clean in the bedroom & bathroom. Very comfortable, with everything you could want or need during my one night stay. Would be good for a longer stay too, with plenty of room for hanging clothes & bedside tables have drawers. Lovely shower & decent-sized cubicle! Fan provided for use in hot weather. Very easy access with outside door & room on coded locks, particularly as I was arriving late. Code arrived by email exactly when it said it would! No problem about not having reception staff.

Didn't affect me, but the steep outside steps to access the accommodation might be a problem for the less mobile.... but the warning on the booking.com website should warn those who might find it difficult. Had to park about 400m away as road by accommodation was full; parked in "pay & display" parking on King's Road. Free overnight but have to pay from 8am (can use RingGO app).

Great communication from host who provided clear instructions with door codes making for easy check in.  Our large room was super clean, quiet and very comfortable with good amenities:  hot water kettle & coffee bar in room, hair dryer & good wifi. Nice updated bathroom fixtures and shower.  A loveseat & other small furniture made for a nice simple sitting area in the room.  We'd recommend this accommodation and would stay here again.   Note:  Entry is via a steep & narrow exterior metal stair case which could be a problem for some travelers.

We only stayed one night, however the property was in a perfect location for our needs. It was clean, felt welcoming and was warm and cosy and also very well presented. The little touches like tea and coffee, were a lovely welcome too. The bedding was immaculate as were the pillows. Having a fan was a great idea for my ‘tropical moments’.

The stairs but we were made aware of them. They also wouldn’t have been an issue if I hadn’t brought a very large and heavy suitcase with me 😁. The only negative was the window above the bed. The surrounding wood/frame, we’re sorry to say, was absolutely filthy. We can’t even think when it was last washed. We would however, stay again, especially to try the food in the bar/restaurant below.

Lovely spacious room, comfy bed, and great rainfall shower. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The road was quiet and there's a CO op within walking distance with a bakery which was great for breakfast. I would stay here again if in the area.

The stairs up to the property are very steep, metal stairs. I had to use them very slowly so as not to fall, and that was without rain or ice. Also the gate at bottom was confusing as it has a code lock but isn't actually locked. This could have been explained better before arrival especially as the staff who helped us didn't know this either.

Once we had got into the room it was excellent. Well appointed with excellent shower room. Electric fan had thoughtfully been provided for the bedroom. Good comfortable bed.

Access was difficult by fire escape type stairs. Apparently, I should have read the instructions on an e-mail which I was unable to receive once I had left home! This e-mail also included a pin code which meant that checking in was initially impossible. It took a lot of (wasted) time contacting the owner to resolve these problems

The location was excellent. close to shops, restaurants, and the sea-front. A very clean and comfortable room. Comfy bed. Would recommend this to our family and friends.

Steep narrow metal stairs outside building so very slippery when wet. Had difficulty climbing with a large suitcase. However, we were aware of this when we booked as it was on the listing. We could not open the window. Did not meet any staff during our stay.

The self check-in and check-out was really straightforward and efficient. The location of the property was perfect for our weekend plans and having a friendly local pub next door was a pleasant surprise.

The limited parking on the street was a little inconvenient but there is metered parking at the top of the road and we also discovered the friendly pub next door helped with temporary permits
