The staff were simply amazing, super friendly, really helpful, approachable, chatty and just lovely to be around. Checking in was really easy and the staff helpful about the car park advising us that we could leave our car there the next day (which helped as we went into London). Our room was great, clean and tidy, everything we needed, choice of pillows, notice and warm, heater in the bathroom which heated up quickly and we received a phone call after just getting into the room to check it was suitable :). Breakfast was great! A lot of choice, pastries, hot drinks, cereal, different breads, yoghurt, fruit, cake, cold meat/cheese and then a traditionally english breakfast... they even asked my daughter if she wanted some fresh pancakes! Which were made in the shape of a teddy face - so lovely of them. Honestly amazing value and Hotel. Located 5 minute (if that) walk to Watford Junction to get the train into London. Easy walk into the town centre where there are lots of shops (H&M, Primark, TKMaxx, etc), Restaurants, Pubs, a Cinema and Bowling.

last minute booking booked via booking.com, paid online but was told at reception this was holding only and I need to pay on checking in, paid and then found after checking out that I had been charged by booking.com and by the hotel on checking in. the receptionist i spoke to checked and arranged a refund. The room was nice, spacious and clean. bathroom also very good. good value for money, AC is a little slow to respond to setting though. other than payment error friendly staff, nice room, would book again.

The staff are very friendly, the hotel was very clean very easy to find from Watford Junction Station. We had breakfast for the two days were here. Cooked and continental served all very nice for the both days. The location of the Hotel for thoes that are going to Harry Potter studio London the bus is 3min walk and runs every 15 mins which can be found at Watford Junction Station as you come out. Their are security guards their that ask to see your tickets.

The air conditioning/Heating Our first night the room was very cold, we had tried to figure out which setting was heated. We did ask at the desk and they said they can set the heating via a control panel at the desk. But it still failed. To then flashing with a spanner. So just layered up for the two nights.

Well located, good value, very clean and well appointed room. Good gym for a non spa type hotel. Of note - Very helpful, friendly and engaging staff but not pushy or overfamiliar. Arranged reactivating my IHG card and also called very politely regarding weekly fire alarm test. Even housekeeping were engaging and smiley. Good breakfast on second morning.

Breakfast times not displayed in rooms so missed the breakfast as got caught up working, and slightly noisy air circulation system when it kicks in in the small hours. Hotel aware and dealing, efficiently as always.

The staff couldn't do enough to help and were both professional and friendly - and this applied to every staff member we met. The restaurant service was excellent, and the food at dinner and breakfast was really lovely. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean and beautifully presented.

The bathroom was the only problem we had, and it was a design issue - nothing at all to do with the staff on duty. I felt that the door opened the wrong way into the room, so you had to go round it to enter. There appeared not to be any heating in the bathroom, and the floor was very cold. Also, there wasn't a heated towel rail to dry the towels or bath mat, which is so unusual in a quality hotel.

Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely, including the pancakes which was a nice touch for my son. We also have evening meal in the hotel which was nice. So so close to the train station and Harry Potter bus stop! Which just made the stay so easy, couldn’t recommend the hotel enough if your purpose is Harry Potter studios and you’re travelling by train. Although they do also have parking available

There could have been more for children, a pool would be amazing! Or even just some board games or something that could keep children entertained

Absolutely sparkling clean, really lovely staff, a beautiful hotel, perfect location for the Harry Potter bud for the studios tour. Right across the road from the train station, which was great as their were a couple of tube closures that weekend. Really, honestly loved our stay! First stay away from our baby and it was so comfortable and we had a brilliant nights sleep for the first time in 6 months!

Honestly, just where the kettle was! It was fixed to the wall but under the desk so it made making tea really awkward and the steam condensates under the desk. Would have been tidier and easier if we could have unplugged it and put it on the top of the desk. But it’s such a minor thing it really wasn’t terrible!

The room was clean and basic. Everything I would expect the room to contain was there. The slip mat in the bathroom was essential. The shower was good. A small fridge in the room would have been welcome to store insulin etc.

The fixtures in the bathroom were a little shabby. The bath towels were not particularly soft. Not enough pillows available. An additional handle would have been welcome in the bath near the shower to allow me to steady myself in the bath. I have MS so I have dizzy spells. I am not in a wheelchair yet so don't warrant disabled facilities however I still struggle to get in and out of a shower which is over a bath. The mattress was too firm for me however my son welcomed a firmer mattress.

Booked a twin room with booking.com but holiday inn staff told us when we arrived none available. No way was us two blokes gonna share a double bed. So we had no choice but to book and pay for another double room. Imagine the shock when I get to my room later to find two single beds pushed together. No twin rooms they said but made me pay for an extra double room which was probably the twin room I had already paid for? Had a chat with receptionist in the morning and she said she will get something sorted. I await with interest at what this might be? Other than this major issue everything else was perfect. A very unhappy customer here.
