The room was huge, in a separate building from the main hotel. The bed was large and comfortable, with nice bedding and pillows. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. There was a coffee machine in the room, a table and chairs and a lovely sofa. A fan was provided which was great, because the room was warm. The staff were all friendly from the lovely receptionist to the staff in the restaurant. Dinner was generally quite pleasant. Most of the dishes we had were nice.

The bathroom fittings need updating. The décor in there was fine. The shower was really hard to turn off, almost broken. The tap to the sink was full of limescale, so sprayed all over the place (not in sink). The wooden blind behind the bed does not block out sunlight coming through that window early in the morning. Better window covering required. Where we sat in the restaurant, we had a full view of the kitchen (the makeshift screen was in the wrong position) and we could hear a lot of shouting and noise going on from there throughout our meal which was quite distracting. The first two courses were great, but the coq au vin had an very salty sauce and tasted like bisto gravy with no wine taste at all. It took a long time to be served to us.

King room upgrade was excellent in both bed and bathroom were excellent life-savers after appalling train experiences journey with SWR-------only wish we'd had more time to enjoy them after our wonderful white-linen Mulberry restaurant dinner looking out at serene private lawns and trees! --------- but we'll be back again to rectify that ------ just NOT on an SWR train, 5 platform changes; and NOT taking advice to get off at one stop early rather than Gatwick as 'better' for taxis to hotels!!-----HUH!!!

Wasn't able to give them 11 out of 10 in this survey, which i almost never respond to unless 'above-and-beyond' standard.

This is a beautiful very old hotel, yet so near to Gatwick airport. A great combination for us. We stayed in one of the rooms which have been newly built in the grounds, but in keeping with the charming old world style on the outside, but fully modern and very spacious. We took afternoon tea in the garden, and were lucky to sit in the sun, it was charming. The staff were all lovely, and very helpful with any requests. We forgot to bring our dog bed back to our car and they carefully kept it in reception for us overnight. They surprised me with a beautifully decorated chocolate brownie at afternoon tea to mark my special birthday.

Small maintenance issues, the tap on our swanky designer sink sprayed water when you turned it on, outside the edge of the round bowl. The TV remote was quite shabby, looked like it needed a good clean. Very minor compared with all the positives.

Last order for dinner was 20.30 at which time we booked our table. We arrived in Gatwick 20:15 and made it to the hotel at 20.45. A very serviceminded staff held the table and kept the Kitchen open for our arrival. The dinner was well prepared and of high standard. Room was beyond expectation. Grand king size bed, well decorated and bathroom with bathtub Manor stile. Breakfast was all good and tasty. Staff was plentiful, kind and attentive.

Not really anything ... so I can't really write 2 to 3 sentences about it, can I?

I booked langshott Manor quite late in the evening. I was due to book someone from Gatwick Airport at 7 am and I live more than 2 hours away so I was hoping to have a good night sleep. I arrived after mid night and the gentleman at reception had prepared the room for me :) He was friendly and warm in his manner and very kindly guided me to the room and he offered me a wake up call too . The room was absolutely spot on , clean and peaceful. I had a good night sleep and woke up refreshed. The wake up call was very helpful. The hotel staff were very nice .

Just a suggestion , it will be helpful if the hotel was signposted slightly in a better way . There is one sign post on the main road and afterwards it took me a bit of a guess work. Hotel itself was magical and perfect.

It was a really stunning Manor House and the room was delightful, beautifully decorated and lovely big bathroom up a little flight of stairs. I just loved it all. Such a comfortable bed and pillows. The rest of the hotel was just as pleasing, especially the Roaring Fire where we enjoyed a couple of very reasonably priced drinks. We were on a fleeting business trip/meeting, but I'd love to stay again and definitely recommend. Very friendly accommodating staff. Thank you. Oh, and the location is great, as we were on our way to Brighton.

There was nothing to not like. Apart from having to leave the bed.

Our room was large and the bathroom enormous. The dinner was good, although a bit over-priced. A mistake was made with our drinks order:, probably by a relatively inexperienced staff member: the error was put right immediately and professionally by the senior dining-staff member - very responsive. The hotel and garden are certainly full of character, with quite a bit of charm. For being 20 minutes from the airport, it's calm and moderately quiet.

Definitely more posh than a budget hotel, and charmingly "old-world", I wouldn't call this a "luxury" hotel. While it has been decorated in style, there are some rather scruffy edges. A bit further from the airport and access motorway than is ideal.

Gorgeous hotel, and great staff. We loved the look of our hotel room, Catherine Parr, and having a view of the pond was an unexpected surprise the following morning. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely back next time we're heading for trip from Gatwick Airport.

I think this room must have been a family room - as there was an adjoining door to the neighbouring room. This did mean that we could hear everything the guests in the neighbouring room were saying. We'd hoped to get an early night's sleep, because we had a busy day ahead of us. Unfortunately the guests next door arrived relatively late to their room, which meant a late night for us.

Beautiful historic building, food was amazing. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We booked the smallest room for just one night, it was still very large with a huge comfy bed. The grounds are beautiful. Honestly if your flying from Gatwick do yourself a favour, forget the generic airport hotels and give this unique hidden gem a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Bathroom was maybe a little dated (that’s me being very picky) or it would have been a 10

Langshot Manor is a beautiful big old house, full of character, built on lovely grounds. The room was big and comfy with a great view of the gardens. The king-sized bed was great. The bathroom was spacious and warm. There was plenty of parking space. The guys on the desk were sweet. It was in a beautiful area surrounded by ancient oaks and woodland. We booked close to the airport for an early flight, it was only a little more expensive than other options and well worth the extra money. My only regret is having to get out of bed at 4.30! It was by far our most comfortable night all week.

I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant or the bar but will definitely be back.
