My husband, 5-month-old baby and I arrived from Australia very tired at the north terminal, we took the bus to the hotel which was easy enough to do but the bus stop was a long walk with a lot of luggage and our pram woudl not be an issue for someone with only one suitcase though. The staff at reception were excellent! Very friendly and helpful they even were kind enough to put my baby's formula and freezer packs in their fridge overnight. The room was a little basic but had all you need for a stopover between flights, even USB chargers beside the bed for phones, etc The restaurant was good with very nice staff they were closing as we arrived late but still managed to squeeze in an order for us so we did not need to wait for the late-night room service to start. Great experience and we will stay again if the need arrises.

We did not have a working fridge in our room but apparently they have them in others so if you need one be sure to make a request.

After a very stressful booking issue, staff at reception, and specifically Daria, were absolutely amazing, sorted it out within minutes when I was already almost in tears thinking I was stuck without a room for the night. After that, she kept her eye on me through the night, helping me settle down, eat, figure out the early morning schedule and more. She is fantastic. Hotel was nice, my room clean, spacious and comfortable AND I had a bath! Rare treat nowadays in most hotels. I slept very well after that, making my early morning flight easier. Very convenient with shuttle as well. Recommend!

Was very hard to get in touch with staff at hotel over the weekend. Possibly because of a wrong number on Booking.com itself. Everything got sorted by staff once I was there, bit Booking.com should check all the contact details they supply...

Staff were pleasant. We were checked in early which was great. We stayed 2 nights. Recommend if you do not have your own vehicle that you take half board (breakfast and dinner) . Meals were tasty, varied and adequate. Coach Transport to airports several times throughout the day. We paid 9 pounds each for return transport from the airport. Not much to do or see around the hotel. There is a small grocery store and bakery within walking distance which are located on the compound of a gas station.

At times you hear noises from neighboring rooms as well as on the corridor

Decent hotel conveniently located around the corner of Gatwick airport. For late arrivals and/or early departure times, it is ideal. Offers around-the-clock shuttle to the airport, which is overpriced (4.5 pounds for 2 miles!), but this is the case with almost everything in London. Staff was very kind and helpful, room was spacious and clean, restaurant was good, breakfast was above average - all-in-all a nice stay. Again, quite pricey for what it offers, but that's London...

The area around the hotel doesn't have much. One has to visit downtown London to see anything, and that's more than 1 hour away (shuttle + train). The air conditioning in the breakfast area was way too strong, although the weather during the first days of our stay was chilly.

The location was the best—easy access to London even with extra cost and just a 40-minute drive to Brighton.

Some staff members at the reception. Not attentive and even rude to a customer with some condescending attitude. Perhaps it is because I am originally from South Korea and live in Japan—so used to having polite hotel staff members with manners. Even if so, isn’t it the first thing you learn to work in the hospitality industry? The hotel was lovely, and the restaurant staff was great, but the people at the front desk were a big minus.

Excellent location close to Gatwick Airport. There is a shuttle bus service that runs 24 hours to and from the hotel. The shuttle cost us only 4.50 pounds per person each way. The hotel was clean, spacious and our bed was very comfortable. There is an on-site restaurant and bar and room service is available. Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is fair.

The plumbing in the bath/shower combo in our room was strange. The only way to fill the tub was via the shower head and there was some mould around the tub.

Ideal location for North Terminal and plenty of room for parking overnight. Nice restaurant bar area and great buffet breakfast. Far enough away from airport to feel you're not at an airport!

Unnerving experience of member of staff knocking on our door shortly after I returned to room from the bar, asking if I was checking out. My husband was in bar watching football so locked door. Later went to reception and desk called member of staff who said they were doing room checks. I felt it was adequately explained but really didn't see why they could not have telephoned!

Girls at reception were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was also very good. Hot food, good choice and replenished regularly

Lunchtime was very disappointing. No one in the bar and had to wait around 10 minutes until someone arrived. When I asked for chicken wings from the menu I was told quite bluntly, "we are only doing sandwiches and burgers". The Mediterranean Tuna sandwich I ordered arrived 2-3 minute later. Basically tuna lumped onto white bread with no salad or sides, apart from a few crisps. Not great value at all.

Staff were great and very welcoming check in and check out very quick. The room was lovely and soundproof with black out curtains. Had a great night sleep

At dinner you had to leave your table and go order at the bar? No table service. At breakfast as I was on my own I put my orange juice on the table I choose only for the staff to remove it while I went to get a coffee! The biggest thing though was no tomato sauce! At dinner or breakfast.....what restaurant doesn't have tomato sauce?!

That it was next to a big tesco. That the Gatwick hoppa bus takes you there. You can get buses straight to Gatwick from a short walk away. The room was clean. Staff were friendly.

The sofa bed mattress was bad. The kettle seems a bit dodgy and did not boil properly. That a member of the maintenance team entered our room without knocking. Best practice is to check reception for occupied rooms. To then knock the door and wait for an answer on rooms that are unoccupied then after a good 10 seconds enter with caution. That did not happen.
