The hotel was easy to find and around a 7 minute walk from the station. I was going to Gatwick North terminal and the bus stop for the airport was just across the road and there are frequent buses from about 4.30am. It took me 10 minutes by bus to get there. There were restaurants and places to eat just at the end of the road. I had a good night's sleep and was not disturbed.

Extremely convenient for Gatwick Airport. We arrived at 9pm, had a self check-in arrangement so went straight up to our room. We were out by 6.30am to head to the airport, catching the bus from directly outside the hotel. Nothing fancy but quick and very convenient. Location felt very calm, safe and quiet too.

Room felt a little old and perhaps not the nicest vibe, but fair for the price. Only real issue was that sound travelled through the building. Luckily the area was quiet so no traffic / airport noise, but we could hear other guests pottering around and were woken up in the early hours by a very loud guest upstairs. Appreciate that's not the hotel's fault but as an old building I don't think rooms are very sound proofed.

No shuttle bus offered for arrival even though there was a corresponding question during booking and I should have received information with the confirmation. Shuttle to the airport offered straight away. No receipt possible for shuttle (only the card payment receipt) - however the front office agent tried to find a solution.

The fact there is a bus stop outside the guest house so easy access to Gatwick Airport. Room was quiet and bed very comfortable. Flat and easy walking distance to the town centre and about a 20 minute walk to Horley Station. Waitrose supermarket is near the station. I didn't shop there, but if needed, it's not too far from the guest house. There are plenty of restaurants in the town if one wants an evening meal.

As previously stated in my review of my overnight stay on 26/27 October 2023, the fact that I especially booked this guest house as it said it had luggage storage facilities with no mention of the £8.00 per day charge, was a huge shock to me! I was going on a 11 day tour of Italy and was only allowed a small suitcase. Fortunately I managed with a small suitcase which I had purchased for the trip. I also noticed when I checked in yesterday on my return from Italy, that there is a £8.90 charge for breakfast. As I caught the bus to Gatwick on 27 October 2023 at 5.40am, I wasn't interested in breakfast. I am not sure if breakfast was advertised as being included in the price of the room, but clearly it is not.

We stopped here after flying into Gatwick late at night. Very close and easy to get to from Gatwick, procedure for very late arrivals obviously well practiced. We used a taxi to get there from Gatwick and the bus, which stopped literally right outside, to get back to the airport for our onward journey the next day. Perfectly set up and located for our needs. Breakfast was available if we had wanted it.

Wasn't a problem for us, but we were on the first floor which involved climbing a flight of stairs as no lift was available. If you have heavy bags that you're struggling to carry, or you have mobility issues, you should maybe ask for a downstairs room.

Staff were excellent - warm and professional welcome, helped with the car parking, booked taxi to airport for us and explained everything clearly. Having knowledgeable and helpful staff there to meet you after a long drive and when you've got a very early start the next day was such a welcome bonus. Also on return, staff were good and professional. The room we stayed in was very spacious. We also felt the rate for car parking was reasonable.

Not much. Like some other people have mentioned, certain things in the room looked a little tired/worn and might benefit from a little upgrade, but this didn't spoil our stay.

Convenient to Gatwick airport. Quiet.

The fact that I especially booked this place before I flew to Italy & a night on my return, as they said they offered luggage storage..When I checked in & asked about luggage storage for a small carry bag, I was told it was £8.00 per day! I was shocked & said that there was no mention of a charge for luggage storage mentioned on the website. Needless to say, I did not leave my small bag there. I wish I hadn't booked & paid for another night there on my return from Italy as it is not necessary now for me as I took my luggage with me.

The location to the rail station is a short walk, as is the retail area of Horley. So we caught a train from London & dropped our bags off, then jumped on another train for a day at Brighton. Our room was around the back & we were so pleased to see how spacious it was, & a lovely comfy bed. We walked to a local pub, the Ye Old Six Bells, which was built in c1450, for a lovely dinner & final Pints on our last night. The airport is less than 10 minutes away, to which our host drove us. Would highly recommend.

It was close to Gatwick, cost £17 in taxi from airport. Arrived late at 11.30pm; key and clear instructions were left for us. Breakfast is £9.45 full English or Continental. Very comfortable double bed, ensuite bathroom. White starched linen and towels provided. Owned by a family who's daughters seem to do the cleaning. They supply a shuttle service in their own vehicle, and I prepaid at reception for ride to Horley train station for £6 as we had very heavy luggage.

Ageing carpets, shower sealant has a lot of mould. I thought the price of breakfast was steep, so we passed on that.
