We were so lucky to arrive on a beautiful sunny day (we were told Barry had experienced around 8 months of constant miserable weather). Gerard was an amazing host with very interesting stories to share. He went above and beyond giving us a lift in to town on arrival, and then to the nearby airport the following day to collect our rental car. He made us feel exceptionally welcome. We received excellent advice where to go for a meal (although it was a Sunday and we were too late and the restaurants had closed early) and what to see while in town. If you prefer comfortable, casual accommodation in a quiet area with a more 'homely' feel and you like listening to amazing stories, then this is the place for you! If you're travelling in a caravan or you are camping that is also well catered for here. It was no trouble for Gerard to arrange breakfast earlier than usual and he cooked up a delicious breakfast before we headed off to our next destination up north.

Very friendly staff. camp site outside in the grounds with a spacious driveway. There was no noise from the camper. Breakfast. There was plenty of food at breakfast. Toast, ceral, fresh fruit, yoghurts, and the normal tea and coffee options. Croissants were also available. We got asked how we liked our eggs cooked for toast. Kids had beans on toast and plenty of beans, too.

Not walking distance from the beach. The shower dial for hot and cold was loose, so it took a while to get the correct setting, but once found, it was fine. Window catches were broken. We weren't aware it was only a continental breakfast, but we didn't go hungry. Thanks

Fantastic customer service. The only thing I would suggest they could have improved on was if they had a better ironing board available (I was travelling for work and my shirts needed attention after unpacking 🙄). Room was spotless and the lady running front of house was exceptionally accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Ideally located for my purposes and despite being located next to two main roads amazingly got a comfortable, quiet nights sleep. Will definitely use again for future business trips.

Literally just a better ironing board 🤷‍♂️

The staff went way over and beyond to take care of my elderly mother and her elderly friend. They had been stranded due to their flight being diverted as a result of a storm. My mother was exceptionally grateful for their hospitality and generosity, which included picking them up from the airport within 10 minutes of me booking the room! They also made them food at 10pm. Thank you so much.

Our hosts catered brilliantly for my wife's gluten and dairy intolerance and we both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts during our stay. The Location was perfect for the area we were visiting. It was immaculately clean and comfortable. Sharon and Gerald our hosts were so helpful in recommending places to visit.

Sharon was very welcoming when we arrived. Our room was very well presented and modern. Huge bed and extremely comfortable. Bathroom was very modern, shower was amazing. Breakfast was plentiful. Croissants, toast, cereal, poached egg on toast with bacon and beans. Fresh orange and apple juice, tea and coffee. This was all included in the price of our stay. Gerald was amazing couldnt do enough to make sure we had eaten enough for breakfast. Barry Island was only 2 miles down the road. I also want to thank Gerald for looking at my car and finding the fault and also driving me to his mechanic friend to get some advice. I would recommend this hotel and the wonderful owners for making our stay perfect. Thankyou Sharon and Gerald.

There is nothing not to like about this hotel. Wonderful place to stay.

I needed a hotel but as it was a six nations weekend this was one of the few with vacancies. Owner was so lovely and entertaining

It was not cheap because it was a rugby six nations weekend. It was expensive. Other than that it was completely fine.

Lovely staff are always willing to help Look after their guests. Go the extra mile.

It was quite a relaxed atmosphere There was ample space to park .

We stayed here for the Billy Joel concert, we arrived and when checking in the lady said her family member had just left to take people to the train station but she offered to book us a taxi. Breakfast was lovely really homemade.

Breakfast is okay and the Owner prepare everything for you. Not so far away to the Airport and absolutly quiet. Any kind of food what you like, Christine or Sharon prepare a fresh meal for you.
