The hotel was in a good location, staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Check in and out was quick and easy. The hotel was very clean and warm. The breakfast was excellent and real value for money, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all the staff.

Our room was separate from the main hotel and I wasn't made aware of this when we booked. Having to park across the road in another part of the hotel in the pouring rain was less than ideal, especially when re-packing the car on checkout, when there were areas coned off in the main hotel which could have easily been used. The room had no drawers to unpack into, which meant living out of our suitcase. There was no dressing table and no shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries. Bedding and pillows need upgrading as too thin, we had to use towels to bulk up the pillows. There was no phone. Otherwise the room was pleasant, warm and comfortable.

A very comfortable stay with a friendly feel, good breakfasts and location easy to romford. My mum had mobility issues and they gave me a ground floor room near breakfast room which was great. All clean and a good standard for what I was expecting.

There was no atmosphere in the evenings as it has a bar but not using it really so if you were on your own wouldn't be ideal. Its a lovely building and has potential. Also it just did breakfast which was delicious and so shame it didn't do food other times of day. You have to go to romford for food which meant have to leave the hotel which is hard when with someone with mobility issues.

Nice double bath, great shower, good breakfast, free parking and also great value for money. Staff where very accommodating and helpful. If I had read the reviews prior to booked I probably wouldn't of booked this place, however it was a pleasant surprise, I suppose its about expectation, having read the reviews about breakfast especially I don't seem to understand the negative comments, yes the food in the display looked a little dry, however when I asked for fresh bacon, eggs and bread this was topped up immediately by the breakfast staff, room was warm yes a little dated perhaps, however if you can find a room in and around Romford for two people including breakfast and free parking for less money ill be amazed 👍👍 from me, oh and by the way I have worked in hospitality for 35+ years !!!

Friendly welcome at reception, and a lovely hotel with an independent feel. Breakfast was great although the staff struggled to keep up with demand. Well located for our trip into the centre of London.

Room itself was ok, although some of the furniture was a bit dated. The ensuite, whilst having the potential of being a lovely facility, had not been installed and finished to a great standard. Fixtures and fittings on the sink etc were extremely loose and the tiling throughout looked quite poorly fitted especially in the shower cubicle, so much so that we were put off using the shower for fear of one or more of the tiles falling off! Such a shame really, as we really enjoyed our stay otherwise.

My renovated room with a nice new bathroom was good, comfortable bed with four pillows. The cooked to order full English was really good, also good to have cereals and little jam pots. And midweek didn’t have an issue finding space in their free parking. Bar open. Tea and coffee and decent tv in room. Good value for money.

Room temperature water in shower as they had an issue with boiler - I would assume temporary. Would have liked non alcoholic beer in the bar. Some repairs still needs to be finished

Location..We have stayed 3 times before and always requested a ground floor twin room, which have always been given..We requested the the type of ground floor again… MY WIFE DISABLED AND CANNOT DO STAIRS AT ALL..When we arrived we was given a upstairs room, I pointed out this is not what we booked or we can walk across a main road to the Annex..Totally out or the question…We was then told we could have a downstairs double room For £15.00 More, which we paid..The room was so small and the bed was awful.. DoNo book with this Hotel if you are DISABLED… breakfast is always fantastic.THE TALL NIGHT MANAGER WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL.

THE WOMAN WHO WHO WAS ON RECEPTION WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL DEMANDING £15 more for the room WHEN IT WAS THERE MISTAKE, We loved staying there at least twice a month since we had moved and need to come to London a lot…So if you are DISABLED WATCH OUT…

I like the fact that u can check in from noon. Rooms are nice and clean and it’s a great location. Nice all round feel to this hotel.

Some of the TVs in rooms could do with upgrading, some have limited channels. Noticed there prices are increasing also, which as a frequent traveller to the hotel is annoying, if they continue to ask for higher prices may have to start looking else where 😩

The staff were polite and worked extremely hard, the hotel was in a good location with a little tesco garage up the road. Breakfast every morning was gorgeous well cooked and plenty of choice. The hotel and rooms were also spotless clean and re done dialy with fresh towels and bedding.

The room we were in could have done with a new bathroom, cracked floor tiles, 2 holes starting in the bath where things had been dropped, 2 showers over the bath, one that was old but still working but dangerously hot to scolding and could not turn it down, a new mixer shower had been fitted but shower head holder pointed right out at you and couldn't be moved so had to be held which was awkward to wash hair at the same time and the window lock was broke so could just push the window open.

We have visited this hotel for the last 5 years as a stop over on a Saturday night before travelling to brands hatch for the Touring car races. The location is excellent as its a 10 min walk into Romford and we have friends who live there. Buffet breakfast is always very good and sets us up for the day.

When we first started visiting in 2019 the hotel was a very reasonable £65 per night and was this until this year, the price shot up to £125 the weekend of the kings coronation that was also race weekend so we didn't go in May. Unfortunately the price is now £95 per night, a 46% rise which seems harsh.

I was VERY surprised at the lovely property, it is large it comprises of two nice character buildings but quite homely with large clean room with every amenity. 24 hr desk, with pleasant reception staff, early check in, a fabulous tasty breakfast and good variety too, I do keto but there was plenty of choice and I did not go hungry, lovely coffee, all self service with a lovely ambience. There was a bus stop in spitting distance, but I walked into Romford very easily and quickly. I’ve already booked for another visit, I would never look anywhere else now.
