For a good value-for-money, pet-friendly hotel, it certainly met these criteria. The staff were helpful and whilst there was both a wedding and a Open Cinema event, we were not disturbed by this. The breakfast was fine and the evening meal that Library very reasonable. Having the garden out back is great for the dog.

Noisy neighbours arguing at that time of the morning (not the hotel's fault). Slightly inconsistent on where dogs could go. On the first day, we could take our dog into the breakfast room and the second day not. The rooms were not that close together as we were on different floors.

The family room was spacious with a great view overlooking the lake. There was plenty of storage space with an iron, ironing board, fan, and safe. A decent size tv with a great seating area. The bathroom was of good size with super hot water when running a bath to relax 🙂 The spar was sufficient in the pool, sauna, and steam room size. The sauna was way hot enough, and the steam room was ok. The jacuzzi was fun and very relaxing. The breakfast on the first morning was luke warm at best, but the following morning, it had improved.

The first morning at breakfast, l didn't enjoy it. Most of the food was cold.

It was a lovely relaxing place. The grounds were extremely lovely. Room was spacious. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come here again.

Only problem was using the app for room service. We ordered food and it stated it was being prepared . 705pm and at 845 we still not got it. Went to reception to be told they are having issues with it and was told to go up to the upstairs bar and they would sort it. So l did and they told me oh it isn't working... what did l order so l told them and they said they will get it to us in 5min..... an hour passed and had to call reception and they then phoned them and eventually recieved it at 10pm.... They need to take the sign out of room for room service via app then there would not be the trouble l had.

The hotel was beautiful and the gardens were fantastic. The beds were comfortable and we made use of all the facilities. Really nice sauna, steam room and pool. The (adult) children enjoyed having access to the gym. The beauty treatments were a nice touch - although I did book them in advance to make sure we were able to be catered-for. Loved the pods outside - we had morning coffee outside in the rain and were able to enjoy the grounds and the sound of the rain on the dome! And the lake with the ducks and the fish was soooo relaxing. Had a lovely picnic by the lake and enjoyed watching the wildlife. Rooms were very quiet and we slept well. We stayed 2 nights and we felt as if we'd had a holiday.

I wouldn't say there was anything we didn't like. There didn't seem to be many staff available. Took ages to get checked in, for example, and the place felt deserted if you needed help with something. Breakfast was so-so. The rooms would benefit from better lighting as it felt very dark and if I'm being picky the bathroom was a bit tired.

I stayed here the evening before my wedding, I was in the old part of the building which is absolutely stunning. I had a beautiful view of the surrounding areas and the breakfast was out of this world! The hotel arranged for room service to be brought to us while we were getting ready, my favourite part of the room was the shower which was so nice!!

The only downside, because it was the old part of the building there was no lift in that part. So walking up the stairs almost killed me haha. The app wasn't working to order room service as well so that was disappointing after not eating all day. The bath was slightly dirty and there was lots of cobwebs in the corner of the room.

The suite was great value for money we had room 500, lots of space and beautiful views. The separate second bedroom space was a great addition for the 5 year old who enjoyed having her own space. The location was perfect for walking into the city centre. My husband used the gym and had no complaints. Breakfast was good for the whole family with options that suited all including children and a plant based adult, both really enjoyed the fruit salad.

The facilities were great but not the cleanest or in greatest condition. The pool was a bit mouldy around the edge and lots of tiles were missing but these were overlooked by my 5 year old who had an amazing time. When the pool is refurbished we will return.

A good sized room with pleasant aspect and near to reception as I had requested. Friendly and helpful staff - especially on reception. A good shower and a comfy bed. The breakfast was fine - reasonable choice and good coffee. The room was clean. Good location - not far from town, near to shops and restaurants and with lovely grounds for the hotel itself.

The bathroom needs refurbishing - it was looking tired and rather shabby. The exposed wires leading to the towel rail. The people in the room next door talking loudly and messing about until 2am on my second night (Sunday)!

The grounds are really lovely. Ample peace and quiet. Staff very friendly, professional and welcoming. Guests of all ages made to feel welcome and comfortable. Lovely to also see a diverse age of staff, from young to mature, all working together to make our stay and the stay of all guests the best it could be. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Everything was lovely. Yes, a lick of paint wouldn’t go amis in places, but the views, peace, hospitality and environment more than counter this minor observation. Don’t be put off!

Stunning location, wonderful swimming pool, fantastic room, balcony and view, everything we asked for when we booked. Breakfast in bed was lovely but items missing on tray ie eggcup, coffee. Staff were polite and very helpful but sadly, seemed stressed and overwhelmed with the amount of work and effort of maintaining good standards. So sad for them! They really give of their best and as a service organisation, they really are your best assets and represent the brand very well. Thank you for a memorable weekend! Mrs Helen Jacobsen

From the city of London to the beautiful grounds of Kenwood. What a beautiful hidden gem. For someone who at any opportunity escapes the UK to travel abroad alternativelly to the uk , I was overly pleased. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Room was an amazing size and not reflected in the price atall! I loved how dog friendly the hotel and grounds were - really has made it possible for this to be my go to get away! The spa experience was amazing. Big shout out to Lucy who gave me an incredible first experience of the "hot stone" full body massage. Would give her 1000/10 if I could. Aswell as the lovely @sheffield_beauty_by_elena Who did a fab job with my gel hands and toes. Please support her if you visit! She moved here from Ukraine 1 year ago and is trying her best for a better life. So sending big thanks and love to her! Only negative is there was no cash point on site to tip the girls. So do bring cash if you are a tipper. Other than that absolutely amazing Thanks for everything and we will see you again :) (very soon)
