Hotel is in a lovely location, being just across the green from a lovely pagoda and view of the sea. Staff are very friendly, and happy to provide directions to public transport - and even a USB charger after I'd lost mine! Breakfast options were good.

The room I booked was a little small, and dated in it's decor/facilities, but was expected at the price point. The bed was also a basic spring mattress with no topper, which some people may find uncomfortable.

The food was very good, but staff shortages in the kitchen meant that it sometimes took a while to get served in the evenings. The hotel is advertising for staff. This is not a criticism - the staff worked very hard to meet everyone's needs, and it was a very busy bank holiday weekend. The location of the hotel was ideal for our needs, but perhaps their website should make people aware that they are unable to offer wheelchair access or ground floor bedrooms. The standard of accommodation in the bedrooms was excellent and the staff were always helpful and courteous. All 25 of our party thought it was a very good hotel.

Breakfast even if you did need to pay for it( I didn't because it was included with the price) is very good. Great selection and you can add or remove anything you like on the menu.

WIFI signal, at least for me, wasn't that great, kept dropping. This was possibly because of being located on the top floor of the hotel, in previous visits its been fine when I was on the floor below

Nice large room, bed and bathroom. Clean and matched my expectations. Staff very friendly and breakfast hearty and plentiful

The cobbles are noisy outside the hotel and unfortunately one of our nights coincided with about 100 trucks emptying a boat. It started at 5am finished about lunch. Accept this is not the hotels fault The shower never got hot at all... it was freezing water sometimes and I gave up trying to fathom it

Breakfast was very good, and staff were pleasant and available to answer any queries. Communal facilities were very nice, and well decorated. The restaurant / bar for evening meals had a good selection, good quality and reasonably priced.

Windows in room, although double glazed, had large gaps around frame, so let in noise and drafts. Although room was generally clean, there was rubbish left in bathroom bin from previous guest. Bed was very creaky and made a noise every time moved.

Breakfast okay. Could do with some fresh fruit. (Did have a few prunes but nobody was eating them). Didnt have de-caff teabags on first morning, would have thought they could have got some for the following mornings? No black pudding on one of mornings.

Hotel has been redecorated and also had a makeover and been refurbished. Lounge area, breakfast very nice. Good good with one of the best breakfasts Ive ever had.

Bedroom was on the back, noisy generator woke us up. Apart from that was very clean and tidy.

Right on the seafront. Staff friendly and carried luggage to room on top floor. Room warm and comfortable. Meal in restaurant with friends tasty and good value for money. Breakfast cooked to order and nicely presented. Was staying to attend a funeral at nearby church.

The first room we were offered on the second floor was not attractive but for £10 we upgraded to a lovely room on the first floor, much more spacious with a bay window overlooking the park

We were in Silloth for a golf event and the proximity of the hotel to the Club made it an obvious choice. Our room was large and comfortable, and although we were (very) upstairs we were also fortunate to have views across the Solway. The staff were tremendous, both highly efficient and very friendly and the brekafast we were served in the morning absoutely brilliant
