The hotel decor was much better than expected. The bed was very comfortable in Room 28, the courtesy tray was good. the dinner in the hotel was extremely good - we were all delighted with our meals - good portions, very well cooked - delicious. Breakfast the following morning was also very good - the porridge exceptionally so!
Room 28 needs a rail or a hook in the bathroom to hang towels on. The bed in Room 23 needs upgrading - very soft and wobbly. The coffee in the restaurant is only just acceptable, which is a shame as everything else was very good indeed. Also, some better quality bread for toast would really make the breakfast top notch.

Excellent location - right in the centre of Annan, nice & handy for local Restaurants, Bars, Shops etc. & only a five minute walk to Annan railway station. Staff were friendly & welcoming - Hotel Bar & restaurant areas were nice, modern & clean. Regarding the room I stayed in - it had everything that I needed - only one thing to mention is the ensuite looked as if it could do with a little freshening up - All things said - my stay at the Queensberry was very good value for the price paid & Yes I would most certainly stay at the Queensberry again
As mentioned in the above review - the en-suite (bathroom) could do with a little freshening up - besides that everything else was good

Very friendly staff. The hotel was Easy to find and has free parking at the back. Dog friendly. Lots of biscuits in the room which made my kids delighted. The steak pie was really nice.
Price for breakfast, especially for children 8£. I made them eat porridge and scrambled eggs before they could choose a small box of cereal. They would probably just eat that and for 8 £ it's not worth it. So we skipped breakfast on our second morning. Sirloin steak was really bad. It actually smelt a bit off, I had few pieces but my dog had to finish it. I had a funny tummy through the night and that might put me off breakfast. Should have stayed with steak pie.

Everybody was very friendly and even when the restaurant was closed they offered to prepare us something to eat and made us feel very welcomed. The food was very good as well. The place is dog friendly, that's why we chose it in the first place so perfect for us bringing our two chihuahuas. It has private parking in the back as well, which is a big plus. We were very happy with our decision and we recommend the place. Thank you very much.

A very convenient, late availability stopover which I needed just for one night. The staff were friendly and welcoming, my room was clean and comfortable and I really appreciated being able to relax in a bath after my long journey, which was a welcome change from there just being a shower. Breakfast was excellent and set me up for my seven hour drive home. All in all, my stay was great value for money, I'd be happy to stay again and recommend to others. Thank you!
Nothing, only stayed one night and the hotel was perfect for my needs.

The hotel was in the town centre. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was amazing good value for money. The hotel has began renovations since we were last there and it is looking amazing. Our rooms were clean and well equipped. Even though the hotel is on the high street it is very quiet. Our dog Tia felt at home and settled strsight away which is always a good sign for us of a good hotel with little noise dustractions. Can't wait to return . We'll run hotel a credit to the owner and staff who were all lovely .

We walked to the entrance and we’re a little disappointed by the appearance, however when we got to reception a super friendly lass booked us in and there clearly had been major renovations going on, freshly painted walls, new carpeting all very cheery and welcoming. The room was fresh and clean, the shower was on the small side but no complaint, as a builder I recognised Neat use of space. Breakfast was really good.
We were woken at 5am by dogs howling in a nearby room, which we cannot blame the hotel for, otherwise everything was good.

Keeley (owner) & Lydia; Nicole; Vicky; Simone morning receptionist; and Hayley. All uber helpful and friendly. Felt right at home. Tastefully decorated. New fittings in our room. Still work in progress in other parts of hotel, but going to be great. I enjoyed my food. Sunday roast lunch delicious. Our little dog spoilt by all the staff who loved her and welcomed her. Would definitely stay again if I was in that area. Right on the high street, so central. The surrounding countryside very pretty. We came cross country which was really pretty. Annan itself has plenty of history.
Shower cubicle a tad small, specially for my husband. The surrounding buildings at the back rather run down but clearly nothing to do with the hotel. Annan is an old town. The buildings reflect that. The extractor in the kitchens very loud at the moment if you're in the back as we were. However that too is work in progress and booked to be rectified when the engineers arrive.

This is a fab value hotel, spotlessly clean and with a lot of character.
The meals are great value in the restaurant and my son really enjoyed his meal. However for me I had a problem with my meal and was made to feel like I was the one at fault, I think that was a little unfair and the issue never really did get resolved. However a blip in what was otherwise a great stay as a stopover in the middle of a really long drive - I can recommend the homemade chips- delicious and crispy
