Nicely furnished room with views over the square and the hills beyond. Excellent, powerful walk-in shower. Bathrobes, slippers and a full set of toiletries supplied. Kettle and a pod coffee machine in the room, with various coffee choices. Very comfy bed. Good selection on the breakfast menu cooked to order. We enjoyed the full English (excellent bacon) and Eggs Royale. Good choices on the evening meal menu and local beers. Friendly and helpful staff.

Parking was not ideal, we managed one night on the square and one in the National Park carpark - the latter only 5 mins away to be fair. This was made clear when we booked

All the staff were so friendly we came with our two dogs who were also made welcome. The lighting in the bathroom was lovely and bright, great for putting make up on, the shower was powerful and the cubicle was big. The full length mirror with sockets next to it was handy, and the communal fridge ( which was only used by us) was great for storing our water. The room we had was room 9 and you would never have known it was dog friendly, it was very clean. The breakfast was lovely and the staff at breakfast again were lovely.

The only thing was there is no parking, however there is a car park just a few minutes walk away which is very reasonable.

We liked the general ambience of the hotel, good central location. We ate dinner once in the hotel and it was excellent. Cooked breakfast also very good.

Shower gel dispenser is needed in the shower and the water temperature of the shower was very erratic turning immediate very hot to cold unless you chose Eco when it lost strength. It would have been nice for buffet part of breakfast to include fresh cut up fruit rather than simply a bowl of fruit. A toaster so guests could make their own toast rather than supplying toast which was usually cold.

Room was very nicely decorated and of pristine cleanliness, warm and with a powerful shower. Mattress a bit hard for our old bones, Veggie breakfast was lovely, the porridge was delicious. Staff were pleasant, courteous and obliging, all had smiles for their guests. Fridge on first floor landing is brilliant idea, as our dog is raw fed and it was ideal for keeping his food fresh and cool in sealed containers.

Booked our first evening's meal in the restaurant, and whilst it was well-presented and edible, we have had better vegetarian meals. The hummus starter was rather bland, and the veggie curry a bit overpoweringly hot. Stairs and upstairs corridors are a bit "rickety" for senior citizens, but in a 17th century building, we suppose that can be expected.

Just what we wanted first thing in the morning, food great, staff pleasant and helpful and you will have to tell me where I can buy your bacon. Then went for a walk then back for some Guinness, something to eat, then shower bed ready for a new day. Grassington is truly a beautiful spot, lovely helpful locals, great fish shop next door to you, you have a great hotel and like Schwarzenegger the actor ( I'll be back ) but in my case it's we!! Thank you great short stay.

Not been there long enough!!! it would be a great base camp to see the Dales or a good stopping off point. Sorry I don't have anything bad to say because we truly enjoyed ourselves on this short stay.

Stayed 2 nights in November. Very well appointed hotel/bar/restaurant. Restaurant (The Morral) excellent, food wonderful. Bang in the middle of Grassington. Lovely bar area. One of the best dog friendly places ever stayed. Staff brilliant. Great ambience about the place.

Stayed in room 5, very small and rather cramped for 2 plus dog. Wash basin very small and difficult to use properly. Looking at photos of other rooms, they are, I think, a bit larger. No parking of course being slap bang in centre, but parking in main car park by tourist information only 5 mins walk and £7.50 for 48 hours.

Rooms are incredibly clean and spacious with a fabulous power shower. Breakfast was lovely and well thought out by giving you a menu card to fill out the night before so they knew what to cook for you in advance. As we travelled in August I was so pleased to see a desk fan on top of the wardrobe to provide cooler air, which made for a very pleasant nights sleep. The location is perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales

Breakfast and every meal we had at the Hotel was superb... the Chefs can cook ! We are used to a king size bed so the double that we booked (due to availability) was comfortable but not ideal. Staff were so helpful, professional but friendly..Fixed a problem with shower whilst we ate breakfast. Atmosphere in the Bar and Restaurent very good - as was the location. Excellent choice all round.

The dinner was very good but was costly for every night. Breakfast I found very good my did find a breakfast she did very much liked 2nd & 3rd morning but 4th day changed French toast should have sent back.

I found that the mattress tended to roll you out of bed. They changed the fresh fruit to frozen or tinned berries with no maple syrup did not work people did comment how nice it looked the other days.

Great location. Friendly staff. Clean.

Only minor issue was mix up at breakfast so our number wasn't on table. Once seated service was slow on that particular morning and others asked for tea/ coffee and breakfast before us though they arrived after. Maybe to do with the table mix up? Food was very good. Didn't generally spoil our experience and we will return. Thanks.
