Lovely hotel and nice location Exceptionally Clean and comfortable

We paid for lounge access. To be fair the hotel did refund a small amount to us and we had a free bar drink however something needs to change compared to other lounge access rooms we have had in other hotels it was poor. There was little restock of canapés, drink was poor to be restocked and I had to find staff to ask, the room was quite small and stuffy. The staff say that it’s because it’s never really that busy they don’t provide and did apologise but surely you can see from the bookings that day how many could potentially use it!

Location for visiting UK Games Expo at the NEC. Fabulously comfy bed. Staff at breakfast and in leisure area really friendly and helpful.

Quality of breakfast good and large range of choices but hot food in particular not the same quality as last couple of years. The hotel has just started charging for parking (it was free when booking earlier and hotel kindly took this charge off this time around) and I think this is a poor decision as was probably the key factor when booking for us as we planned to travel to and from nec while having the benefit of staying in a nice town. It isn't as if the hotel isn't already quite pricey - a disappointment when we have always enjoyed our stays here but will perhaps look elsewhere next year.

Very well appointed and well maintained hotel. Huge room and very big bed, huge bathroom, all very clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast (except for toast incident). Kids menu options at the restaurant etc. Free parking and right by Solihull main shopping precinct. Wonderful attentive staff, family friendly. Good pool, steam and sauna.

Everything was great except there was mouldy bread at breakfast in one of the bread bins we had to point out, waitress got out order wrong and it was busy time at pool so floors and changing rooms could have been cleaner/ cleaned more often however the staff were amazing and very accommodating. Felt like couldn't say anything as so welcoming and helpful and it wasn't their fault.

We had a great stay over Easter weekend. The location was very convenient for shopping, eating and drinking. Breakfast was very tasty with lots of options. The staff were excellent - especially the night bar staff. Our room was well serviced - even when we didn't leave until after lunchtime on Easter Sunday - everything was spotless when we returned.

Our only complaint was the bed was quite small and the pillows very hard and it could be a little noisy in the room with reversing trucks outside and children screaming in the corridor

I enjoyed my stay with my family. The staff were amazing and very helpful particularly the gentleman who was at the reception and the bar attendant.

Unfortunately there was one lady who seems to be the manager at the restaurant in the morning. I caught her constantly whispering something to another lady which I genuinely believed was a gossip directed at me and my family. The only reason I didn't challenge her was thar I didn't want my children to see anything awkward happening

impressed with the amount of parking spaces for guests with no additional cost- Brilliant. Location to the shopping mall and eatery's very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. We had booked for three people and although there was not the appropriate amount of towels or bedding on arrival, this was promptly dealt with when requested. The staff within the restaurant -excellent they were friendly, professional, and attentive. Breakfast was great, the variety of items, and the buffet was of great standard- nothing was too much trouble for the staff . The club lounge was fabulous- great facilities, well stocked with nibbles and drinks. Great atmosphere for chilling and meeting other guests. Times of opening superb. The leisure facilities although the pool was lovely it was disappointing as the Jacuzzi and sauna was out of action - (facilities we were so looking forward to utilising)

I think an offer to revisit / or some compensation to return to have full use of the Leisure facilities, should have been offered as Jacuzzi and sauna was out of action.

There was so much choice for the breakfast. All really good. Our evening meal was very good. Lovely food. The staff made it, very polite and helpful. It was a brilliant location for us getting the bus to the NEC for the Commonwealth Games.

We had a lovely floor standing lamp in our room but it didn't have a bulb. Reported to reception but nothing arrived. We had chosen this particular hotel because of the spa facilities. Unfortunately the boiler wasn't working so the pool and the showers were freezing and you couldn't use the changing facilities. There was building work going on outside with scaffolding up, so you couldn't make full use of the terrace.

Very comfy bed, friendly staff and a good breakfast. Speedy check in and check out. Very close to the shopping centre and restaurants and pubs. Free parking on site, what more can I say really? All in all we were happy with our stay.

My husband and I were first down for breakfast, we were meeting our friends who also stayed at the hotel. So we ask the waitress to keep the table next to us for our friends so we could sit together. However another waitress sat somebody else next to us. Our friends arrived 5 mins later meaning we couldn't sit and breakfast together. Lack of communication within the staff!

Comfort of hotel and breakfast were good. Hotel entrance is really nice as you’re straight into the bar/ restaurant area

I was told during check in that I had to pay for breakfast, which I had already included in my booking. I was also told at breakfast that it wasn’t included and then at checkout, I was told that I had a room bill which, you’ve guessed it, was the charge for breakfast! I think that maybe your computer systems should be updated to be able to show the staff what guests have paid for, as was told by a member of your staff that they couldn’t see what was included in the booking (booked via booking.com). Luckily, I had my booking confirmation with me. On a different note, the rooms were REALLY warm. Maybe just turn heating down a degree or two.

Breakfast was lovely . Rooms were spotless and beds were the best beds I’ve ever slept on really can’t fault the room or the staff .

We stayed for 2 nights , both nights there was a power cut . My husband is on a cpap machine to keep him alive at night therefore he didn’t get much sleep. Our first day in the pool 3 fellas came in and one had his mobile phone with him. He was pointing it towards our 2 teenage daughters and out 6 year old son. Made us very uncomfortable so I reported it to staff who said they had told him to put it away. I’d have preferred the police to be involved as there is a sign that clearly states mobile phones are not allowed in the pool or changing areas but this didn’t happen.
