Room was clean and readily accessible, close to all amenities. Beds were comfortable. Lots of choice for breakfast and plenty of parking

Although an early check-in had been requested, when we arrive 1hr after the agreed time, they had to confirm the room was ready. Also, it wasn't possible to get cold water out of the tap to drink. Fortunately, there we were near the bar area and able to get a drink. Finally, we didn't want to make tea or coffee however it would be very difficult to fill the kettle from the handbasin in the bathroom due to the design of the handbasin.

Breakfast was fine a little limited, but fine . Room smaller than expected.

I paid £10.00 to park my car, but have since received a parking fine for £ 90so not happy, I put my registration number on the form, but apparently I was then supposed to punch it in to an iPad, this was not pointed out to me by the receptionist, and I have not come across this system before, would have not hurt her to mention it, so your receptionist has cost me quite a bit. Also staff serving breakfast were all rather miserable. So a very expensive stay on the whole.

Food was good along with the service. People were friendly (almost too friendly).

Spa/Pool - tiles in swimming pool steps missing, rough Changing room a long walk from pool area (in the cold) Bedroom (Rm 342) - bath shower screen fixed - made turning shower on before getting in really difficult. The non-slip protection was at tap end, but at the end you get in, because of the fixed shower screen made it feel unsafe. Tap in sink delivered scolding hot water even when turned to cold for almost a minute after moving selector to cold. Dressing gowns to small - an XL option should be available. Access to room was not accessible, several steps made bringing luggage in and out difficult.

To be fair we hadn’t booked anything and this fitted well with the purpose of our trip. We loved the look of the hotel and the fact it was an IHG where we have stayed before. From start to finish it didn’t disappoint! If I could rate it more I would do! The staff were beyond helpful and the room was so beautiful, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. It was an absolute joy to climb into bed! We even got a welcome text to ask how our room was! I cannot recommend it enough abc though I have no real reason to go back to Solihull I will return just to stay a little longer and use all the fabulous facilities. Thank you all so very much :-)

The fact I had to leave!

Check-in was fine & the team at the front desk were very pleasant & gave lots of information about the hotel & facilities. The room itself was very comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect. The location for any events in town was absolutely spot on for me.

The bathroom wasn't quite up to my standards - there were some bits that could have been a bit cleaner (near the seals round the shower screen for example). Another heads-up for some customers might be my room was right above something that sounded like a generator (possibly because I was in a 'budget' room - a cozy king) so there was constant low-level noise from that. It wasn't an issue for me as I go to sleep with headphones, but it might be something for others to consider.

The floor creaked terribly, I have never been in a room so bad, so bad when either my wife or I got up in the night it woke the other person up. The hotel should address this. Also, the view out of the window was a flat roof covered in aircon plant, which was depressing, particularly as we paid an increased price over a standard room. The shower was a bit weak.

I definitely will come back. Friendly welcome, the people at the reception were charming. Breakfast was included which was what made the price acceptable. The food was delicious and the waiting staff were lovely.

Upon arriving we were told there would be a barcode in our room, but there wasn't and when this was brought up they repeated where it would be - no one came to check. Some paint on the walls was peeling off in the bathroom. When our room was cleaned the toilet roll wasn't replaced, and when we asked for another we did not receive it. But this is really nitpicking!

Our room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast has an excellent choice of hot and cold food. The Hotel has a car park, and is a short in-expensive taxi journey from the N.E.C.

This hotel does host conferences, and our breakfast was rather spoilt by a group of work colleagues who were very loud, constantly wandering around the dining room, grabbing at food and drinks, talking on mobile phones, and one was even vaping, until the restaurant manager told them to stop. I think they didn't realise the difference between a staff canteen and a hotel!

thought the decor was lovely around the whole hotel and especially in the rooms. staff were friendly and it was a good location from where we needed to be the following day. bed was comfortable

it was quite noisy at night due to a lot of banging coming from another part of the hotel, couldn’t really make out what it was but it kept me up a bit. the breakfast wasn’t the nicest … the cold continental stuff was lovely; however the hot food could have been better. We didn’t realise you could have ordered other hot items like poached eggs or an omelette, if we knew that we definitely would have

Great location, wass the night poter/barman/funny guy/hard working chap, , all I can say what a top bloke , welcomes everyone in the bar ,always has a great stories to tell when I visit , if only there was around 5 more wass working there this hotel be completed booked up all the time ,brilliant guy to have on at the bar, has the time for everyone that comes in . Brilliant guy 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for him

Not enough people like WASS working there, think wass could teach a few of the people working there how to greet and welcome people the way he does ,
