Hotel is undergoing refurbishment. My room was in a newer wing, it was clean and tidy and pretty quiet. Furniture ok and bed bouncy but comfortable. Bathroom a little tired but all worked ok and shower pressure was excellent. Stayed 5 nights and bed was changed every day, bedding is good quality and clean. Bar & restaurant are lovely and food is good, especially the chocolate bomb. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every day. Staff are ok.

Lack of WiFi and struggled to get phone signal. WiFi available but security certificate has recently expired so don't recommend risking using it. Colleague had 5G on his phone and was fine, but for me 4G kept dropping out and I often had no signal at all. Lift was out of order for first 3 days but did get fixed before I left.

room and evening dinner was beautiful. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Not your fault. Someone was smoking weed in their suite 2 rooms away next to room 224 which stank out the corridor. Sanctions should be made when hotels guests complain about this. Smoke alarm went off too very early in the morning due to smoking. The sat nav postcode is incorrect and is difficult with out of date sat navs. It had me going up and down the motorway several times. Please rectify this by using WHAT 3 WORDS which is accurate. By using what 3 words it will solve the problem. many thanks. if in any doubt, head for the Macdonalds or Tesco superstore on Stratford road!

The room was quiet and comfortable. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Car park was well lit. Great Wifi. Shower was fantastic! Plenty of towels. Happy to see a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Plenty of storage spaces. Didn't have time to explore the facilities due to busy schedule but will certainly book again for a personal stay rather than business.

TV remote didn't work properly. Water was scalding hot. Adding cold water made the water hot and cold at the same time. Needs a mixer spout. Shame there is no mains outlet near the bed to charge phones. However, this did not affect our enjoyment of the hotel and we will definitely consider returning in the future.

Big room with one double and one single bed. Clean all round. Staff friendly and helpful especially near. Great help yourself breakfast all cooked perfectly. Very convenient for restaurants in the area but their own dining room has a good menu and not too expensive. I swam just after we arrived, but busy as it’s a leisure centre too but when I swam again 9am next day there were only three other ladies. Free hairdryer, bags to put your cost in, only one shower working but I showered in my room. Lovely stay, lovely grounds. Thank you and will see you again. Eve

Only one shower in leisure changing room working and mass of hair in drain, this needs seeing to every day.

Nice to stay in a hotel that had its own style. The restaurant/bar is modern and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and had both continental/cooked options. The swimming pool was lovely and warm. Lots of parking spaces. Although on a busy road, it is set back and didn't notice any traffic noise. Staff were all good.

Didn't know I had to pay for parking. Our room overlooked the outside patio garden space, so on warm evenings it's hard to get to sleep with the window open and having the noise of everyone outside chatting/drinking.

Very spacious room (executive double), big comfy bed, clean room, All staff especially the reception staff very friendly and helpful. Needed extra pillows - not a problem. Everything you needed in the room. Good hotel facilities, excellent breakfast, pizza from restaurant was lovely, was not a problem taking food/drinks to room, enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi at the end of a busy day - open early til late so able to enjoy after a long day and early in the morning. Plenty of parking close to reception, Only 2 junctions to NEC so great location, Harvester/ Beefeater/McDonalds all close by.

None of this spoilt our stay but worth mentioning - settee in room 207 unable to use as the cushions fell though the base (seen better days) could be dangerous for someone with bad back (did tell reception). Up until late at night an outside door on ground floor kept slamming/banging waking us up, seemed to stop just before midnight so think it maybe a staff entrance? Unable to close the window as room was too warm if closed. Couple of area's in pool area - could do with a little attention - mould in female showers, changing room cubicle behind doors when closed very dusty/ dirty- just needed a good wipe down.

The early morning swim was fantastic. One of my colleagues had a room on the ground floor which opened up onto the courtyard. I will book one f those next time. The window opened which was great for me

I have COPD and was in Room 253. It was a very long walk from the lift to my room. My colleague and I booked at the same time. He had room with 3 beds and breakfast included for £85.50. I had a double bed with no breakfast and £10 parking for £97. Our Boss decided to attend the meeting on Friday night. His room had a courtyard door, no breakfast and £10 parking £126.00. Our accounts department will definitely be asking me for an explanation.

I booked the Executive room and this room was huge, you could consider this a studio flat size ! D Bed very comfortable and big size. Excellent Breakfast and the hotel lived up to expectations following revamp. I wasn't sure after reading the reviews but thought book last minute. I would return back there again....

Only very small giggles as a frequent travel around the U.K. The main breakfast bar layout can become a bit congested during the morning rush. Get there early to avoid the queues... Really needs to moved else where to avoid other guests jokeying for position when under time pressures. I did notice no plugs socket by the beds to charge up phones ! there were old school round Pins ! Quite important for hotels...

The property has everything you need to have a nice relaxed break. Room was comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Facilities were very good.

The changing rooms in ladies swimming and spa were really grimey. They really need updating a cleaning and a new update. Pool and spa was warm. The noise, rooms could do with soundproofing. The windows are single pane, and u could hear everything like it was in your room. Also paying for parking 10 pound per day.

The location and price has been perfect for us for many visits I lived in Solihull for 25 years and this is a great base for visiting friends and family. I like the large rooms and pool. It's a little tired but I like that it's an old building with an interesting history. Renovated bar and restaurant look amazing

Pool changing area is badly in need of an upgrade. Very disappointed parking and breakfast no longer included despite prices doubling for bookings this year. The Premier Inn a few hundred yards away is now £100 less for the dates I want with free parking and cheaper breakfast so sorry Regency I think you will lose my business now.
