We had an evening meal which was delicious. The staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly, booking taxis for us. We had parking which we paid for but it was a reasonable rate for the week whilst we were away on our cruise.

The only small issue was the double bed in our family room. It was so uncomfortable! Very thin with springs being felt through the bedding. We ended up sleeping on top of the duvet to try and get some rest. The room was beautiful and a good size, very clean… exceptional service all round… just please get a new mattress!!

Liked the location opposite a bus stop that could get you into town as well as Winchester. Breakfast was basic but good. Dinner available downstairs so no need to go into town. Service good. Only problem for us were the stairs. It would have been good to have someone help with the luggage. Staff very friendly and helpful for all requests. Could leave luggage there while waiting for a flight or if you arrived early which was great. A map was printed out for us. Perhaps if they had some of the local maps at the desk to hand out to new arrivals, this would be a great help. Stayed there twice, before and after a cruise. Easy trip to and from wharf by taxi.

Stairs. Very steep and hard to get up with luggage. Some assistance would be good.

Location is easy to find. The hotel restaurant had a logos menu but we chose to eat at the Indian restaurant in the row of shops opposite. A top quality fresh menu, slightly more pricey than we usually pay but amazing food. Room 32 in the other building was very comfortable and has a generous size bathroom with bath.

Room 22 was at the bottom of the stairs with noisy guest traffic in the morning as people go down to breakfast. If you like to lie in you should ask for another room. My son also said there was a light directly outside the window which was bright all night, and the bed was soft. The sink in room 32 could do with mixer taps. It takes a lot of turning to get water and is scadling hot.

Arrived about an hour early but our room was ready so we were allowed in. Room was comfortable and totally adequate for our needs (3 adults) Slept well and even though hotel is on a main road we weren't disturbed by traffic noise. Breakfast was excellent and we were allowed to stay in reception for a couple of hours as we were too early to join our cruise - the terminal was a 10 minute drive away. Would recommend staying here and will do again if driving down to Southampton.

Only thing that was a shame was the restaurant/bar was closed on the Saturday evening - we would have eaten and stayed at the hotel otherwise. The hotel did recommend a restaurant to eat at which we took up (The Cowherders)

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived well before our check in time and they happily stored our belongings while we explored the city. On the mornings our daughter didn’t join us for breakfast the staff happily prepared her a “to go” breakfast bap which she thoroughly enjoyed during our adventures. The accommodations were clean, bright and spacious. Top marks.

Low water flow on the shower made rinsing time consuming. Temperamental toilet was often difficult to flush. The fan, while nice to have, had a broken stand and kept falling over.

Staff were wonderful. Rooms had just been refurbished/upgraded and were fresh and clean. The property has its own character, more like a BnB, less of a hotel feel. Also the hotel is in a pretty location in Southampton, close to some parks that are suitable for walking. We noticed many dogs being walked in the area while we were there. Good food for breakfasts and dinners. The hotel restaurant has a regular clientele from the neighborhood, which gives it a home-y feel.

Noticed that the rooms do not have air conditioning- that could pose a problem on a hot day; not always easy to have the windows open to compensate. Also the lack of elevators makes moving your luggage up and down the stairs something of a challenge.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The ‘cooked to order’ breakfast was delicious , well cooked and well presented. A very good selection of dishes available from the menu as well as a good array of continental items to choose from. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. The evening dinner menu was fantastic, with vegetarian options available. The Hotel obviously has an excellent chef who even makes a homemade Tartar sauce! We were offered a specials menu also and the prices were incredibly reasonable. Well done Elizabeth Hotel, we will definitely book again and will recommend this venue !

I honestly can’t think of anything that would have made our stay better .

Lovely small quirky hotel with great location 20 minutes walk in to the centre. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We deposited our luggage with the hotel as we arrived before check in time. We were able to leave our big cases in secure storage for our entire stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a desk fan in the wardrobe in case needed, we opened the windows to ventilate. The restaurant was incredible, all dishes we had were amazing and not too pricey

There is no elevator and there were multi levels of stairs to get to our room. The room was not air conditioned which was not an issue for our stay.

The room we had was of ample size with a great shower and very comfortable bed. Also the breakfast was very nice well presented on hot plates also a good variety. The hotel was close to the mayflower theatre which was great

The parking facilities were all wrong there was not enough spaces for hotel guests due to the fact that cruise passengers book the spaces for their stay as they use the adjoining buildings I would recommend that cruise passengers have one lot at the back of the adjacent hotel for their stay which would then leave the main hotel car park for staying guests

The property itself is idilc, located near a family pub and supermarket and lots of fields, the rooms are spacious with very high ceilings making room even bigger. The breakfast was very good, lots of choice and great quality. Staff super efficient and very friendly.

We stayed in room 35, we were extremely happy with our stay and will return, our only positive criticism would be that the mattress on the double was very thin and not that comfortable (however the mattress on the single was epic). The tv was small, located on a side wall, so watching it would have been at a strange angle, but this was not a concern for us as it wasn’t a priority on our stay. A small fridge would be a welcome addition for a family room.
