easy to find, but high parking charges. welcoming staff. Room clean and comfortable . Breakfast good value for money, it did the job for one night

didn’t like the concept that council are -allegedly putting up rough sleeper s and illegal migrants in the hotel. Not the most pleasant experience watching a person in front of me cleaning his ears out at breakfast.somebody tried to get into my car as I was parking about 10pm. Was warned by regular guest. about mixed residents. I don’t think I would make a return visit.

One of the most unusual motel rooms I have stayed in. It was very simple, minimalist and modern. Clothes storage was a rod protruding from one corner with a few hangers. The shower and sink were in another corner, not in a separate enclosure. The Water Closet was a small closet, the width of a door. A simple plastic stool was the seating. Minimal design but fully functional. About a 10 minute easy walk to Gate 10 Cruise Ship terminal, the main reason I chose it. And not far from the train station. A McDonald's and a TGI Friday are in the same block.

Over priced, the Travelodge in Portsmouth was less than half the price

The whole experience went well it met my expectations which I base entirely on the price paid for the product. It truly is a budget hotel and you get what you pay for which is not a lot but I did have a good night's comfortable rest and woke up refreshed and was where I wanted to be. I had arrived by train and was glad I hadn't driven when I noticed car parking was ten pounds a night which takes the price out of the budget range with shopping around required.

A few things could have been better like a few extras such as tea/coffee making facilities but then I guess those extras would elevate it out of the budget range.

Although price wise there was little difference between the budget and regular Ibis across the car park, the hotel offered everything I needed for a short stay. It was spotless and very comfortable. A great sleep. If I'd needed a kettle and coffee it was available for a £10 deposit. Staff were helpful and friendly

The £10 parking charge. If you were staying a few nights, that would be a hefty surcharge. The price for breakfast was pretty steep too but fortunately Asda is 3 mins walk and does a great 6 item with tea and toast for £6. For a 1 or 2 night stay, the hotel was great value

Fantastic location, close to major roads and to town and an adjacent car park where you can leave the car overnight and all the next day for a single charge of £10. Whilst he hotel doesn't have a bar or a restaurant (the "Budget" bit gives that away) the next door Ibis does and their offering is wide and reasonably priced. Super friendly staff, smooth, quick check in and the room was easily reached, clean and comfortable. All good.

Beer / Wine in the vending machines. Clear signage on the approach to and in the car park as to where to park for the hotel

We stayed here for 4 days during easter holidays. We had planned our trip such that we would be leaving the hotel early morning and returning late evening. So for us this was suitable considering the price point and the location (It is very close to Southampton Central, there is also a TGI Fridays and a McDonald's right opposite to the hotel). The staff are friendly. It is a budget option so the rooms are small but still big enough overnight stay.

The only negative was the noise due to the crowd/vehicles visiting McDonald's (it is open 24*7).

The room was nice and clean. The place was very easy to access and close to the city centre, less than 10 minutes by walk. The staff was very helpful and nice. There's a McDonald's and a TGI Friday just in front of it and snacks at the reception which can be quite helpful.

The only thing that could be better, in my opinion, was the breakfast. It wasn't such a great selection, I expected a bit more. I think you could find a better selection in other places for £8.50. Other than that I had a delightful stay.

A basic, no frills and inexpensive chain hotel - but a good one! Clean and very quiet during our stay. Location was great for our visit to the shopping centre and Mayflower theatre in the evening. Both were easily walkable. Plenty of parking at extra cost but this was good value. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Basic facilities but wouldn't have expected more for the price.

Signposting! Could see the hotel from the main road but drove round and round in circles trying to find the entrance which was somewhat obscure! Might just have been us! Lighting in car park could have been a bit better maintained - there were some dark areas.

Easy to book and check in Really clean room and comfortable Radiator in room if needed Bed was very comfortable with supportive mattress and good pillows which aided sleep

Breakfast was not worth £16. I booked a room for £54 and with breakfast it was £70.00. Coffee machine only generated half cup of coffee and very poor tasting and cold. Poor selection to choose from in pastries. Very little fruit salad left and not replenished. Had long journey and it was only on getting to the room I realised you had to pay a £10 deposit for a kettle which meant having to go back to reception. As it was after midnight I could not be bothered. It would have been nice to know this on booking as a coffee was strongly needed.

Another set of guests who brought their dog with them selfishly left the animal alone, it unsurprisingly barked and whined loudly,. The receptionist as well as offering to move us, phoned the owners of the dog to return to attend to their pet, which solved the issue and calmed the dog and meant we didn't have to move. A word to pet owners don't think you can go out and leave your animals in a strange place alone inevitably it will get stressed, you can't go and have a night out, get a takeaway and stay in with the pet you brought with you

All good, it's a budget we didn't expect luxury, clean pleasant, polite and approachable staff
