The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the hotel was very clean. We were staying in Southampton for the England Open Pickleball Tournament and so were out all day but glad to return to a safe, clean hotel for the night. We stayed for 6 nights and were in a twin room on the third floor that overlooked the docks. It was a great delight to open the curtains in the morning and discover that yet another giant cruise ship had arrived silently in the night! The parking in front of the hotel was much appreciated even though it had to be paid for and we were given a discounted rate for staying longer.

The rooms are very small for two unrelated people to share as a twin room.

Excellent location within walking distance from the National Coach Station and the Mayflower Cruise Terminal. Within easy walking distance from a range of useful stores and good, reasonably priced Southampton restaurants. We have used Ibis Hotels quite frequently over the years. They are basic, but comfortable, clean, with a good breakfast and a pleasant staff.

The inevitable traffic noise from several main arteries near the hotel. Air conditioning didn't work, so needed to leave windows open with consequent noise and interrupted sleep. Saturday night arguments and fights near our open windows.

The layout of the room was lovely with a nice view of the.port and I liked the bench seat near the window where I could sit and enjoy it. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The room was very clean. There was a restaurant with fast service and good but basic food. The staff were very friendly. For the price, this hotel was excellent value for money.

The desk was a bit worn out and the laminate could do with replacing. There were no USB sockets. You would expect there to be some in this day and age.

Staff, location, clean, Beds although narrow were comfortable . Ok for the price of the rooms

Needs plug sockets or phone charger points both sides of bed(s) had to move bed over to reach kettle plug point and we had a long charger lead! Breakfast not the best considering £12/head! Sausages overcooked and rock hard! Drinks and continental part all ok. We like a window open for fresh air during the night, bad mistake as window opened inwards and it rained during the night so anything on the desk area was sopping wet! Single beds are only 2ft 6" so go careful when rolling over !

Everything went way better than expectation apart from having to park in an illegal parking space. The room is clean and breakfast is excellent compared to the price I paid. Will stay here again next time. Thanks to all the staff for making the stay welcome.

The only thing that is the least convenient is that it is very difficult to find a parking space especially when our conference finished at 10 p.m. It would be great if you can arrange with the retail car park as an overflow of car park space.

Good location comfortable room

The service in the eating area. Very slow, was told to sit down and waited a long time to be served. I have allergies and after waiting for someone to bring allergy sheets I asked again and was given a file that was more about the coatings and didn’t make much sense. Tried to attract someone’s attention but after a while waiting we gave up and found somewhere else to eat. Breakfast service wasn’t much better.

The reception staff were very helpful especially when a taxi that they had ordered for us did n’t turn up. We were evicted from our cruise ship at 7:30 am but were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and actually check in thus allowing us to enjoy the rest of the day sightseeing. The restaurant menu was rather limited but we enjoyed our dinner and the breakfast was excellent.

Nothing

This hotel is situated in the perfect spot for our pre-cruise overnight stop. Very close to the dock and also very close to West Quay shopping mall. The breakfast provided is everything that you would want.

There were no black marks for this hotel. Everything was as were were expecting it to be even down to having it's own car part which is a big plus for a hotel in the middle of a big city. We have stayed here a number of times before and will be staying again for a pre-cruise overnight stay in June this year.

All of the front facing staff especially the reception staff were really efficient, helpful and friendly. The location was ideal for the high street and the theatre. The room was comfortable and we were impressed with the daily change of towels.

The full English breakfast was a bit disappointing i.e. really dry tough bacon, bland sausages. Also, (perhaps personal taste) more comfortable furnishings in the reception area/maybe a bit too 'sterile/clinical/not inviting enough' for the restaurant area.

Great location for pre-cruise stay. Handy to city centre and shops. Easy to get to by going around the outside of Southampton. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. No problem finding a parking space.

The air freshener used in the room was overwhelming on arrival, but fortunately opening the window allowed this to dissipate somewhat. Not really a problem once the staff explained was that the door key cards are printed upside down.
