What an amazing place catering for all i.e children's area, outside pizza oven/bar, seating on the patio, great menu/restaurant etc plus comfortable, clean rooms at a reasonable price. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

It was so busy on the Saturday evening, I struggled to get a parking space. Similarly as nice as the menu was, I chose an Asian noodle stir fry dish which I had to send back as the chicken was dry and the noodles were not cooked. The staff were super apologetic and amazing in rectifying the situation plus we were given a drink of our choice free of charge. Sadly, the other issue was with regards to the real ale that was supposedly available which is one of the reasons I booked here as this is Dad's preferred drink, however on the night there was nothing available. Oh and the other thing that we didn't enjoy was the 'group/band' that was playing later in the evening.

There was no breakfast at this pub but the room was very clean and well maintained with everything you would need for your stay and had a comfortable stay

there was only a couple of things that let this pub down the main one was the hot water was only luke warm as was the shower but clean and the second thing i found with this day and age is there are no USB connections in the room which i think would be a good thing and no heating but there was a heater in the wardrobe they are expensive to use and no spare plugs for it

Big room, very clean throughout, plenty of tea and coffee. Quiet in the room despite the bar being busy.

Water pressure was awful at times, I imagine when someone else was using the water. Couldn't find a WiFi password anywhere, I could have gone down to ask, but by that time I was already dressed for bed. Parking was a struggle, it was a lovely day so naturally people were out, but it may be worth reserving parking for hotel guests as it does state there's parking.

I was greeted by friendly and courteous staff who offered to carry bags to my room. My room and ensuite were clean and the right temperature. The bed was quite firm, which is fine for me. The ensuite shower was modern and good quality. Either the soundproofing is good, or the live music in the pub stopped shortly after I arrived back around 11pm, so I had no trouble getting to sleep.

There were no deal breakers - I would stay again. But the room could use a lick of paint in places, and it would be nice if they served breakfast.

Room spacious, clean, well fitted, v comfortable bed. Very good dinner, service was spot on . Sharer starter and steaks well cooked and delivered promptly even though large Rotary group also in hotel at same time. Would use again.

Central heating not working due to upgrades but electric heating provided. Not a problem. hot water available at all times. No breakfast options as still staffing, but did not detract for us.

Convenient location for our needs. Good sized room and bathroom, the latter which looked recently refurbished. Shower was good. Clean room, linen and towels. Staff were welcoming on arrival.

The room was above live music session which meant it was extremely loud in room to about 11 pm. We were however prepared for this after reading earlier reviews.

The location was excellent, the staff were excellent and value for money. I enjoyed the restaurant for the staff were very attentive. I would like to say the bar manager (Andrea) was excellent.

It could be be attentive to guests instead of saying the hotel side is separate too the dining area.

The staff are exceptionally friendly. This has been the first hotel that hasn't charged me extra for room service. Travelling with 3 dogs, it's so much more relaxing to eat in my room rather than having to settle the dogs when I'm trying to have my dinner. Having said that, this place is very dog friendly and when I previously travelled with 2 dogs, we sat in the restaurant with no issues. The food is fantastic, the rooms are lovely and the beds are plush and comfy.

Shame they don't serve breakfast. The food here is really good and it would save a trip to find food in the mornings. However, there are a couple of nice cafes nearby and a Sainsbury's local half a mile down the street with a Costa express machine.

Mainly everything. The room furniture was a little.tired but everything needed was available in the room.

No information re WiFi code ( had to ask) no menu in room or information about restaurant opening/closing times or room checkout time. Had a fall in the carpark, kerb stone could do with highlighting with paint or something because it's a trip hazard

Excellent staff, really accommodating and nice pub with good food and drink selection. It was a great for my overnight work stay.

Some of the items listed as included were not there (fan and hairdryer) was very hot so a fan would have been welcome, did get a hairdryer upon request so thank you to the staff for this.
