Main reception, bar area, restaurant, all very good. Breakfast very good, all food very good. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was okay, bit tired here and there. Old wardrobe for hanging clothes, door creaked very loudly.

We were in room 218. This was next to what seemed to be a boiler room or similar. All through the night you could hear the sound of, like, something firing up and then shutting off with a thunk. Very disturbing when trying to get to sleep. If staying longer would have asked to be moved. Would suggest they insulate the boiler room walls. Could do with - an updated wardrobe, towel rail near the hand basin, Bar prices at London rates. Over £6. a pint of ale.

The room is of a good size plus we can take our dog. Dinner was good. Coffee machine was good. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The ground are nicely kept with nice seating. Ample car parking.

We had breakfast approx. 9.30 am by which time alot of the dishes looked dried and unappertising. The bacon was a little greasy and today there was plain yogurt left. The room was a little dark but to be expected with a beautiful large tree just outside.

Virtually everything! Hotel, staff, room, bathroom, restaurant, breakfast, bar

Very small things - no ironing board in room. Could only be sorted from 0800 the next day. Annoying as we already had an early start planned. Rainfall shower - why are hotels obsessed with these atm? Nightmare if you don’t want to get your hair wet or your style ruined with a bath cap! Bring back showers with option to hold head! 🙏

Lovely room very comfortable bed. Spacious & clean, fridge in the room was a treat. Open fields out the window. The gentlemen that checked me in was lovely. Great attention to detail with furniture & cleanliness.

Breakfast was a huge disappointment compared to the standard of the hotel. Scrambled egg was dried up & hard & very barely luke warm, beans were the same. No milk alternative offered, no g/f bread available, no one present to ask or offering anything else. Not worth the difference in price, such a let down. I also could not use my bath as the plug did not fit & the water could not fill up & as I can only have a bath due to disabilities it was a big deal to me.

We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Thame and its surrounding area, either for an overnight stay, or for a longer period. It is located 10 minutes drive from Thame and at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, and the M40 is only approximately 2 miles away. The hotel is in an interesting and really old former pub and its out-buildings, plus a new and modern extension. It has modern facilities and everything that today's guests require and expect and the owners have clearly made the best of what the buildings and their features offer. The rooms and facilities are first-class and the staff are friendly, efficient and professional. As well as enjoying the substantial breakfast, we also dined the previous evening in the restaurant and enjoyed a lovely freshly cooked meal from the varied menu, which caters for everyone. The hotel has 2 outside areas, with plenty of seating available either in the yard garden, or the open spaced courtyard, where guests can sit and enjoy their refreshments, together with a well stocked bar inside. On a personal level, we also enjoyed a Room Upgrade upon arrival, which was much appreciated. Well recommended!

The only thing that we found a little odd was that there was no phone in our room to contact Reception directly?

I loved the location of this hotel, nice and quiet away from busy roads. We had a lovely view from our room of the country side and saw lots of rabbits. Dinner and breakfast were lovely no faults there at all. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Had a very enjoyable stay. Thank you

The beds were not that comfortable but that wasn't a major problem at all.

I was with a groupo of friends cycling the Ridgeway Pathand we stayed overnight. Evening meal was good and so was breakfast. The hotel had a place to store our bikes indoors which was good. Beds were comfortable.

Walls between rooms are quite thin, so you can hear the people in the next room talking, but it didn't really cause us any trouble.

Despite checking in late at night I was made to feel very welcome at Reception and able to get into my room promptly which was great considering the time of day. The room was clean and very comfortable and had all amenities I expected with the bed really cosy, ensuring I had a good night's sleep. Location was great as well being just off the M40.

With a wedding taking place at the hotel, breakfast time was very busy leaving little alternatives to where I could eat.
