Breakfast was good I only had poached eggs on toast. I had lunch on the day I arrived and a starter and dessert in the evening. All food was excellent. Staff and owners were very friendly and you are made very welcome.

I found the road noise made it almost impossible for me to sleep. Next time I would have a garden view room which is not on the road. Also did not like the 10% service charge added to all the food. If your staying there as I was and have a couple of meals the service charge adds up. Never paid that before in a pub/inn.

The Inn at Fossebridge is a beautiful Cotswold brick building wrapped in a lovely cozy ivy, in a great location next to the river, a perfect base to explore the area. Extremely well kept It started with a lovely welcome from Dee, and just got better from there. Our room was ideal, quaint and very comfortable with a bedroom and small seating area. Very clean with all the amenities you would need. The breakfast room, which overlooks the perfectly mowed lawn and pretty rear garden, offers a wide range of breakfast items, fruit, cereal, juice, etc. plus a great choice of cooked items including freshly cooked to order pastries! A great way to start the day. We ate in the bar/restaurant on both evening and the food was exceptional. An excellent choice on the menu plus daily specials to choose from, really spoilt for choice. Along with this there is a very good choice of real ale’s from the cask. However one of the main reasons for such a pleasant stay were the staff, polite, friendly and enjoyed a giggle, nothing was too much trouble and the hotel is very dog friendly with no restrictions to where they are allowed. In conclusion I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely establishment and could find no faults at all. Thank you to the Dee and all her staff and look forward to staying with you again.

Nothing at all really.

The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. The location is exactly what we were hoping for after 3 days of city excursions - right in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by picturesque Cotswolds scenery and tranquility. The Georgian style Inn was elegant and charming. The room was comfortable and the decor in perfect keeping with the aesthetic of the building. The main bar area, which is also the restaurant, is authentic ode English countryside - giant wooden joists and beams; ancient looking hearths and oak mantle pieces; a 350 year old stone floor that has been smoothed by centuries of shoes belonging to happy guests and locals alike. The food was potentially the biggest treat of the stay. A well thought through menu accompanied by an array of tastefully selected specials, all made more wonderful by the delightful service from the Inn's staff. My one regret is that we only stayed for one night. I would highly recommend this place to anybody searching for an authentic English countryside Inn exerperience.

Nothing. It was perfect.

Great old building and lovely garden backdrop. Food was delicious and very comfortable room created from a larger 'Country House' room. Last ate and drank here thirty years ago but never stayed. Clearly under good management and refreshing to meet such people doing what they are doing. Would definitely stay again and much preferred it to local chain rivals in neighbouring village. My wife is still saying what a good nights sleep she had.

If I have to be picky, my wife could have been warmer in the bar following a days chilly racing - woodburner alight but not 'roaring'. A good hot bath did the trick. It didn't bother us but breakfast menu items from the buffet were not on show: grapefruit segments for example.

Extremely friendly and welcoming. Booked in and booked a meal with no fuss. Meal was great, good portions and decent value. The menu was broad and there was a good selection of specials on the night as well. Enjoyed a drink at the bar, and also the free entertainment that showed up halfway through the evening. Great location for exploring the local area as well. Will stay here again.

It was a minor quibble, but the room was a little overheated and we couldn't see a way of controlling the heating. We had to open the window to cool down a bit - an unusual issue in mid-February!

Right on the busy Fosse Way but that didn't trouble us backpackers for our one -night stay walking the Monarch's Way (it's a couple of miles off the path, with other trails in front of the hotel). Lovely room, kind owners, historic interior with great food and an excellent breakfast (served). Chedworth Roman Villa just up the road. A very good location for exploring this part of the Cotswolds. We'll happily stay for longer next time.

A small problem was rectified immediately and with kindness.

The place has a lot of character. Makes you feel like you are back in time. Really lovely. The staff are also really lovely and they make you feel welcomed. The breakfast was really nice and the pub downstairs has good food and a good choice of drinks. I would stay there again but maybe in a room less draughty.

Would have been better if the second inside window was present, I don’t particularly like a draught when I sleep and the thick curtains did not stop much of the draught or the noise from the road. Also I personally think the room could have been a bit cleaner, but it wasn’t terrible.

The staff were amazing we had a nice friendly welcome we was shown our room and told about breakfast and the restaurant. The room was big and I love all the old features of the building. The restaurant was nice with old features which I love. The food was amazing well worth the money for what you get and lovely and fresh. The barman was a lovely man who made us feel welcome and told us what's in the area so we went for a lovely walk. Breakfast was amazing had so many choices and it's with the price of the room. The ground views are lovely and peaceful.

Nothing everything was perfect

Friendly efficient staff, was shown to a big bedroom with en-suite. Lovely view over rear garden and lake through sash windows. Evening meal was excellent couldn’t fault it and good value too. Breakfast had a good selection of cereal or cooked to order served in a spacious dedicated area of the pub all very clean and efficient. Great location for exploring the cotswolds especially bourton on the water and stow.

En-suite bathroom was a little dated there was no walk-in shower or even one over the bath except a hand held one but wasn’t an issue as we only had one night here. Our room was on a slant due to age of building and whilst laying in bed it felt as if you were going to roll out! No mobile signal here so be aware you’ll need to use their Wi-Fi.

I stay at many hotels in the UK throughout the year but this hotel exceeded all my expectations. I have no hesitation in recommending it for an enjoyable and peaceful stay. The choice of food and drink was very good indeed and nothing seemed too much trouble. The Fossebridge Inn isn't the Ritz; just a properly run affordable hotel delivering high standards which should satisfy most demands. If only some others could emulate!

Probably foam pillows but not a huge issue!
