Everything was great, we arrived very early but were allowed to park and were given a free coffee. The room was ready at the promised time, nice room and easy to get to. The evening meal was superb, very big portions, as was breakfast. But the best part of the stay were the staff , they all were a credit to the hotel. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Nothing.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable and evening meal fabulous! We had our dog with us and everyone made him extremely welcome. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. We would definitely stay here again if ever we were to return to this beautiful part of the country. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone!

Cannot find fault with anything. If I had to be picky, I would say that we struggled to park our car upon arrival, but this was due to a function being held at the hotel. As soon as the function ended, we were able to easily find a parking space.

Our second stay at the hotel which is very well located and only a short walk to the town centre. Parking is very good and no problem finding space both evenings. Breakfasts are superb and all the staff are really lovely and helpful. Kind of the management to start breakfasts earlier than usual for those attending RIAT. Our room (which we selected) is small but this is as advertised and per photos and was very clean and has everything needed.

As previously, we were looking to immediately book again for next year but unfortunately, for the days that RIAT is on, prices have been increased by around 35% which has made us look and book elsewhere. It’s a shame because whilst I can understand the opportunistic commercial reasoning, it doesn’t justify that price and ignores customer loyalty.

Lovely central location with plenty of parking and I nice outdoor space, and very friendly and helpful staff. Apparently they didn’t have a good reputation food-wise previously, but have now changed hands and our evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Very nice room with a window that opened onto the garden but for negatives, please see below. We didn’t know about the charge for dogs but I think this is a Booking.com problem, as the hotel were unaware and had allocated a non dog friendly room but allowed us to stay and only charged for one dog. This has happened before and I think Booking.Com need to have an actual box to tick (like ‘children’) to make it clear on the booking. However, overall we’d definitely stay there again as the staff made it, and it really has a nice feel to it.

The room was very nice but quite a bit of noise from the bedroom overhead as very heavy footsteps back and forth in the night. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We ate at the bar one evening and the food was lovely. Breakfast had a great choice and there was plenty of it, all freshly cooked and prepared and delicious! Our room was very comfortable, clean and lots of extras included like tea, coffee and water. Our room was up some steep stairs, but staff went out of their way to help with luggage. A great place to stay, well located for the centre of Cirencester.

Our bed could have been a bit wider, it was a very small double, but we were still comfortable.

Lovely little hotel just a short walk from town. The most amazing helpful and friendly staff , couldn’t be faulted what’s so ever. We had issues with our car which had been taken into the garage , meaning we had all of our stuff on us , luckily the staff were kind enough to take our luggage earlier then check in so we didn’t have to lug it all about all day, when we arrived to check in they had very kindly taken all our luggage to our room , which was so lovely. Very dog friendly & our little pooch enjoyed her stay. Lovely Sunday roast and breakfast was really really good value for money overall. Our little room was clean and exactly what we needed for one night stay. We would 1000% come back.

Central location. Very historic property with great character. The bar area and restaurant had a lovely ambiance and all the staff were outstanding.

We had a top floor room which was full of historic quirks and interests. Although it was a problem for us the stairs to this floor are narrow and steep and would be a problem for anyone with Mobility issues, so best check with the hotel first. Other than this potential issue, the hotel is excellent.

Breakfast was excellent. Dinner, good choice, well presented. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We had a ground floor room as I'm not too good with stairs. The staff were very kind and helpful.

We only stayed one night to break our journey as we were travelling up from the South coast back to Cheshire, however if we were planning a longer visit we would have needed a wardrobe or somewhere to hang our clothes in the room. Unfortunately this ground floor room did not have such a facility. A few more hooks at least would have been appreciated. Otherwise everything was fine, nice spacious en suite. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel is really nice. It has a lot of history with nice restaurant and clean and comfy rooms. The stuff is very friendly, polite and always helpful. The staff made our stay a very pleasant experience. The food at the restaurant was great.

The only thing I didn’t like is the shower in the bathroom where the water didn’t have any pressure. The hot water was heated by an instant electrical device which was making a lot of noise when on. probably we had that just in our room as we were staying at the very tip floor.

A charming hotel run by a family team. The welcome was warm, the service exceptional and we had a truly delicious meal in the bar. I have dropped a point in facilities only because our room was a little dated but for us it wasn't a problem at all. The welcome and the service and food was far more important and I'd much rather they targeted their effort in those areas than updating perfectly serviceable ( and very comfy ) rooms.

Nothing, for a night away with my sister it was perfect.
