Well furnished room which the photos do not do justice at all. The room was at least twice the size of what we were expecting as we had the whole attic floor. The bed was extremely comfy with a great mattress and bedding. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beautiful building and location with a lovely attached pub/restaurant and a nice outdoor beer garden. The whole venue was very dog friendly. Exceptional breakfast in the morning. Can't rate this hotel high enough and will likely rebook in the future.

Low beams which have very visible warning signs however I was slightly clumsy (5'9 person).

The welcome was immediately friendly and jovial - we were greeted by Jon himself and he is such a giggle! The room is FABULOUS! We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and everything was perfect - the decor is amazing and very comfortable, the food is fabulous and the attention from our waitress was fantastic.

Oh gosh such minor things but I do like a waffle robe when I stay away. Also as I stayed on the couch bed in the room I would have liked a small duvet but in fairness I didnt ask for one and I just know it would have been no trouble.

Fantastic folks working here! The pub and food are delicious. The furniture is comfortable, plenty of outlets, restroom is nice. The pub has great beer and food. Plenty of parking on the street and small car park out back. Highly recommend and we hope to come back some time!

We were unlucky and stayed during some of the hottest days of the summer, so even with a fan and open windows the room was a bit stuffy. But wouldn’t have changed our stay, and it’ll be plenty comfortable 51 other weeks of the year.

A beautiful country pub/ inn in an absolutely beautiful location. The hosts were very prompt in answering our prior questions and were such friendly welcoming people when we met. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated and had everything you would need. We only ate there one night as we had things pre planned but the meal we had was fabulous. Any one interested in a cooked full English breakfast I would challenge you to find a better one !!

A lovely country pub with a great atmosphere. The host Jon had more than a touch of the Basil Fawlty’s so bring your sense of humour. We thought he was great. The room was very well appointed, a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. A fully stocked welcome tray . The evening meals were delicious and there was ample choice at breakfast. We would return if in the area.

Nothing, even the very wet weather didn’t spoil it for us.

room was more like a small apartment really good, took over the whole of the upper floor, breakfast was superb and landlord very friendly, only drawback my mobile had a very poor reception and as on arriving at the property all was closed up with a notice to ring the landlord with poor reception was a problem, can I suggest that guests who have paid up front should be provided with the key code prior to arriving

see above re arrival

Location was perfect, lovely scenery and very quiet! We had dinner there and all 3 courses were very nicely cooked. The room was lovely, incredibly clean and modern. It all made us feel very comfortable. We had breakfast before leaving and again this was lovely and it was all very nicely cooked and had good options and the drinks were also very nice. Overall very very happy with it, perfect night away!

Nothing from our stay we didn’t like.

Fabulous boutique Pub Hotel on the outskirts of Cirencester. Stayed in the top level suite, which was amazing! Beautifully furnished, with all comforts including a separate living room, dressing room and ensuite. I was working remotely so this was a perfect room to both work, rest and relax in. Pub itself provided tasty food and John and his team were very hospitable. Would visit again.

Food was great, good quality ingredients. The premise was decorated tastefully: the bar, and rooms were colour coordinated. very clean and neat throughout. The room was comfortable, clean, warm and well stocked with tea etc. Dog friendly pub. Only met one of the owners, Jon, who was knowledgeable of the local area, and welcoming. Set in a very pretty village and fifteen minutes from the lovely town of Cirencester. Parking - very straight forward on the quiet road right outside. Would highly recommend.

My room was directly above the bar. I could hear loud noise from downstairs. Thankfully I stayed on a Wednesday & Thursday but this could be unbearable if you wanted to sleep before the pub closed. No local shop, which was annoying when I discovered I had not packed my toothbrush. Breakfast was tasty and filling but I would have liked baked beans and hash brown as an option. I would have liked jam for the ample slices of toast.

Our room/suite was lovely, bed really comfortable with superb bedding. Very spacious room(s) with everything you needed provided - including a hairdryer near a plug and a mirror! Tea/coffee and biscuits, nice view. The pub itself is lovely too and also walking distance to Colne if you wanted to eat somewhere else for a change. Very dog friendly.

No bath in the bathroom which wasn't a problem for us and the shower was very good, but it was a spacious bathroom and might be good to add a bath at some point, esp for winter time.
