Overall, we felt that Hotel Du Vin was excellent value for money with breakfast included in the price which was stunning and super tasty. Loved that we were able to customise what we wanted and there was even a spare sausage for our fur baby Arlo who was able to stay and enjoy the hotel too! We were upgraded to a deluxe room with a balcony which was fab and overlooked the gorgeous Lanson courtyard. The room was extremely cosy and perfect for what we needed it for. Georgia who works on reception was a joy from start to finish and went above and beyond to make our stay special. The hotel is in an amazing central location and within walking distance to many tourist attractions, country walks and lovely bars & restaurants.

The saxophone player that was playing on the Friday evening was disappointing, it sounded like he was warming up for the majority of his set and we could hardly hear him. More upbeat, well known music would have been better and would have prevented us (& others) going elsewhere.

This is a regular hotel for us staying two or three times a year, Great location in centre of Strafford -upon-Avon, clean room, lovely breakfast. Welcoming staff, large bar area and good selection of drinks and cocktails

The outside courtyard area was not clean at all! we had a coffee outside after breakfast and when we returned at 2pm the same dirty cups and glasses had not been cleared, there was quite a lot of rubbish, paper and dead leaves etc. under the tables that looked like they hadn’t been swept for days. After sitting outside for an hour or so a member of staff came out a took a few cups and glasses off one of the tables but left rest uncleared! There was two or three member of staff in the bar area talking.

Hotel was really comfortable for a one night stay. Heart of Stratford and RSC theatre is only a 5 minute walk so is easily accessible. Classic double room was spacious and comfy, great shower and room facilities/amenities. Breakfast also really delicious - worth the slight pricey-ness with continental and cooked options. Special shout out to a lovely staff member who gave us extra teabags and milk after we got back late from the theatre!

Only thing is that parking is quite limited/tight and pricey for £15 for 24hrs - had to park at the NCP which is down Rother St which is around 2 min walk straight down from hotel. It costs 9.95 for 24hrs if you use the NCP app though!

We thought the breakfast was pretty good but could have been a little bigger ie. 2 sausages

We took the option not to have our room cleaned in exchange for a free drink. We both chose a glass of white wine ( having previously been told at check-in that a glass of wine was an option) only to be charged £1.50 per glass ( not a free drink as stated by the receptionist at check-in). We didn’t choose an expensive wine, but did tell the bar-maid that we were using this credit/voucher to get our free drinks so there should be a wine offered/available that is free, for example a glass of house wine. Other than that we were really happy with everything during our stay. Thank you

The hotel was in a fantastic location. Room was lovely and balcony was a good size. The room had everything in it you could possibly need. Bed so comfortable. Food in the bistro was amazing. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Only criticisms we had were both our robes provided had stains on, but staff changed those straight away and couldn’t apologise enough. We had rooms above us that unfortunately you could hear people walking about which did disturb our sleep at the property. This wouldn’t stop us staying here again we would just ask for a room on the top floor next time. This really is a beautiful hotel.

The hotel is just beautifully furnished and all the staff we met were really helpful and friendly. We sat in the lounge area with some family and nothing was too much trouble - they even brought us a baby seat whilst we fed our grandson his tea. Our room was lovely - the bed really comfortable and we could cast our phone to the tv to watch our favourites. Tea, coffee and biscuits were welcome too. The bathroom had L'Occitane products with a lovely shower. Breakfast was great - self service for continental with quality products, and freshly made hot food to order. The avocado and eggs was to die for! It took a while as we seemed to hit the busy time but Mary who was serving was lovely. Overall we had a really lovely stay

A socket closer to the mirror in the bedroom would have been more helpful

We were greeted warmly by the front desk and shown the facilities and escorted to the lifts. By the lifts, they were showcasing a wine and we received a complimentary glass - excellent way to start the stay. We had asked for an upgrade to a Deluxe Double with a balcony, which we received. As the weather was fantastic, it was a real bonus. The room was tastefully decorated, inviting and well kitted out. It was exceptionally clean and there were no signs of wear and tear at all. There was plenty of space but the large balcony was the cherry on top. The location was away from the crowds and we were lucky to have been there when the craft market was on when we checked out. The champagne terrace and the courtyard outside of the restaurant are ideal and not noisy. The staff we came across were polite, greeted you and were very affable. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, would recommend it and would return.

Excellent location, all sights are in easy walking distance from the hotel, the breakfast was lovely, with a choice of cereals, fruit and porridge pots and pastries and you can order from the menu if you want an English breakfast etc. The rooms were lovely, very comfortable and had old features. The reception, bar and breakfast staff were so friendly, helpful and informative, Immy on reception was beyond helpful, a real credit to the hotel. Thank you Immy :)

The only drawback, I would say, was that our room was situated at the front of the hotel and the road was quite noisy during the night, with loud car engines revving etc. So next time we stay I'll request a room towards the back of the hotel.

Beautiful room, very clean and well equipped. Lovely breakfast, great location and very friendly staff.

When we booked it said Parking was available under “ most popular facilities “ indicating the hotel had free parking, however when we arrived there were 2 car parks available which cost us £15 for 24 hours. We had dinner in the evening and a service charge of 10% was automatically added to pre drinks in the bar and the total cost of dinner. If you consider that one of our main meals was poor we had to send it back then service charges should be discretionary. On balance given its very central location we wish we had eaten out.

Easy to book and helpful to get messages to and from the hotel itself. Very accommodating. Room was amazing with excellent security and facilities. Very helpful reception staff and restaurant staff, helping you to have the best experience possible. The situation of the hotel made the town easily accessible and fabulous help given by staff to find specific shops.

Whilst the staff were reasonably courtious, there was, a distict feeling that we were being rushed through our breakfast. We had been told we could have a 10a.m. breakfastand we arrived at 9:45 but the server at that point was a little distracted should we say. They were over attentive and kept asking repeatedly if there was anything else needed. We realised that they were having a joint meeting in the breakfast room which started before we left the room. Just a little niggle because the food was great. Unfortunately given medium steaks instead of rare.
