Hotel is in an ideal location for town and riverside. Rooms are a good size with adequate bathrooms. Breakfast is always busy but plenty of choice and a very helpful older gent taking you to a table. Also a very helpful waiter on the riverside terrace who was SO helpful but cannot remember his name!

We paid extra for lounge access but were a little disappointed that if you arrived late, the food was not replenished and the wines and beers were not topped up. Lady who seemed to be in charge there seemed to spend all her time chatting to friends or was not in the room. Did not seem worth the extra money paid!

It was very near and convenient to go to the Stratford Town. That was the best part as it was only a 10 mins walk from the hotel. Parking was a bit further but it was okay. Hotel lobby was beautiful and clean. Reception were friendly and the breakfast staff was excellent in greeting all the guests for breakfast.

Paid £235 per night but the room had an old water stain on the ceiling. The shampoo and body wash were not refilled at the bath tub. Would suggest the hotel to upgrade their room especially for the price paid. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as we had to wait for a while to get it being refilled. In the mean time, the rest of our food got cold.

we stayed for 3 nights for our golden wedding anniversary we booked a table to celebrate outside on the veranda the table looked great .we ordered our food but when it came an hour later it was not acceptable. i ordered a chicken dish and my husband ordered fish and chips. His was ok but mine was nothing like what it said on the menu it was just a chicken breast in dry batter and chips not fries. we did not eat our meal but the staff were really upset we were not happy on our special occasion and did not charge us .the staff were amazing. we would have given top marks but for the meal Mary Curley

The interior of the hotel is very impressive and the outdoor garden area is gorgeous. Staff were lovely, A great selection was provided for breakfast and the location is perfect.

When we were at the pool, we saw staff informing guests that children had to leave the pool st 6 (as far as I can remember), and I found this surprising as many families would have plans during the day and go to the pool in the evening with their children. I also hadn't seen it stated clearly anywhere on booking.com or on their website, so I think it should be much clearer to allow families to decide if this would suit them.

Very impressive hotel from the outside, situated where the Stratford/Warwick roads enter Stratford. 5 mins walk from the main marina, the high street and RSC Theatre. With a vast car park attached, there is no problem parking (chargeable at £10 per 24hrs) At the rear there is a very pleasant grassed terraced area backing on to part of the river - excellent for drinks and lounging any time of day - alcohol or teetotal! A well appointed fitness room and small swimming pool are an added bonus. My 4 year old granddaughter loved the time we spent in the water! Our Family King room - larger than anticipated - was very spacious and big enough for two families! It was also very quiet and very suitable for families with small children. Bathroom 'compact' but it had a bath! The shower was nice and easy to use and there was continuous hot water. Breakfast was fantastic! As much as one could eat from a wide range of the usual Full English items as well as well stocked Continental breakfast meats etc.The breakfast Rotundas were continually being restocked with hot - and cold - food. What was really impressive was the provision of an optional 'special' area for children's breakfast items - milkshakes, fruit juices, fruit skewers, a variety of cereal boxes and cheese strings were in plentiful supply. This seemed very popular with families with young and very young children. The staff were excellent - very helpful, cheerful and friendly. My wife was able to get warm milk from the bar for my granddaughter's night time drink which I thought was very kind. They were also very helpful when I wanted to leave my car parked for extra time before driving home.

The room was a little too warm which meant we had to use the Air Con most of the time - a bit noisy at night! The only lift to all floors (3) was, apparently central which meant many rooms were a long trek from the exit.

The size of the room and bed were impressive. The hotel facilities were excellent and the hotel staff were helpful and efficient. The room was clean and tidy and had all the standard facilities you would expect. The hotel was quiet, no rowdy guests. It was a peaceful and relaxing couple of nights. Aircon worked fine, as some other reviews say they weren't working.

Only very small niggles which could generally be ignored and didn't impact our stay. A Bath in the bathroom but no bar of soap. Only a locked in bottle of soap, 3ft above you for the shower. An empty tissue box/dispenser. A fan in the room with broken rotation/swing mechanism. Tap/faucet in bathroom too short so water goes all over sink unit and onto the floor. Very small quantity of coffee provided. I think we had 2 sachets. We went out and bought a box of our own.

Rooms great, though could have benefitted from better clothes shelving. The high level shelf was barely accessible for me and I wouldn't have been able to rescue any item that moved to the back of the space! Terrace bar great, loved the differing areas and styles. Not keen on the saxophonist - I'm sure he played very well but the VOLUME was excessive, we couldn't get away from it despite the extensive size of the terrace area. Pool and Spa very good for our needs though the pool might not suit serious swimmers.

Evening meal, food took an age and didn't match the description in the menu. We're not unreasonable and understand that produce can run out by Sunday evening, it happens. It wouldn't have been an issue if we had been advised about the substitutions and given opportunity to decline/change our orders. Three of six meals had substitutions, of which two were "meh" and one was unacceptable. Fair play to the duty manager who struck off the cost promptly when the complaint was raised, so at least the customer service didn't let you down.

Excellent location and very helpful, efficient staff. Theatre and town both a stone's throw away. Large room with very comfortable bed and good lighting. Comfortable furniture downstairs in lounge areas. A problem with the window in our room was swiftly rectified and when we checked out, we discovered that the gentleman at reception who had sorted it out had also waived our parking charges to compensate for any inconvenience. A very nice gesture.

Rather too much music in the public areas, but it was never excessively loud.
