Fab location in centre of town . Historic property full of character. Close to everything but not at all noisy. Comfy bed & good bedding. Friendly staff. Room was right above the pub entrance but wasn’t noisy.

We didn’t realise it was a pub when we booked but it was fine and not noisy, even though we were on 1st floor. Buffet Breakfast wasn’t great & on 2nd day we ordered an avocado on toast which was also not great unfortunately. It was a hot weekend in June & our room was stifling. The fan was not great. Some guidance on parking before arrival would have been helpful.

We called ahead as we needed an early check in, Jarrod was so friendly and helpful and the housekeeping staff facilitated this which was greatly appreciated. When we arrived back at the hotel later that evening my husband was ill and Jarrod made him a lemon and honey drink as there were no shops open selling medication. The room was gorgeous, comfortable with everything we needed including a fan and cold water in the fridge. The breakfast was really tasty. I will definitely stay at The Townhouse again, I appreciate great service and facilities. Thank you!

Nothing!

We felt pampered from start to finish. Lukasz helped us with everything we needed, taking our bags to the room, replacing the pillows when we asked him to, and being overall our "guardian angel" throughout the stay. The room was clean and well taken care of. The building and the rooms have great atmosphere. A mini breakfast with cornflakes, fruit, croissants and coffee/tea is included even if you don't pay for main breakfast. We had a great stay. If we ever return to Stratford, no doubt that's where we'll be staying.

Absolutely nothing we could not like -- everything was perfect from start to finish.

1. Initial room initially offered only had a high level window and so felt claustraphobic. This was not what we expected for a 'superior king double. However, we were fortunate to have been able to change rooms as we had arrived early. This room was excellent with a double aspect outlook over the Guild Chapel and Shakeshere's schoolroom opposite. 2. The hotel ambiance was lovely and staff very friendly and accommodating 3. The hotel location is perfect for visiting all the local attractions, eateries and theatres - all within easy walking distance

1. No car parking, although the recommended NCP 24hr car park was a fairly short walk away - get to know the short cut via Bell Court. Difficult to drop of luggage other than on a double yellow line as all the available street parking was full. 2. Dinner menu was very limited but was cooked well. We would have eaten out in preference as there are numerous places to eat within walking distance, but we opted to eat in due to tiredness on the first night and also pouring rain outside on our second night.

excellent location. very clean and bed was superb.

we came down for breakfast 40 mins before it ended but found the continental breakfast wasn’t great. had to ask for a lot of things as cheese and meats had gone hard and dry which meant waiting a while, coffee took 15 mins to arrive and there was no water or orange juice on offer. I think we may of been the last ones down but still it would of been nice to have had these things ready and waiting. Also staff were talking very loudly amongst themselves whilst we were eating breakfast about tourist attractions and seemed to lack any knowledge about the area and were talking in very unsavoury manner. Also road works directly outside the front door didn’t help and we were woken at 8:30 a.m by work men.

THE STAFF - EXCELLENT, FRIENDLY. KNOWLEDGEABLE, POLITE THE ROOM-QUIET, A BIT SMALL BUT FINE FOR AN OVERNIGHT STAY,. VERY COMFY BED LOCATION-COULDN'T BE BETTER, 5 MINUTS WALK TO THE RSC THEATRE

I DO LIKE A BATH TO SOAK MY ACHING JOINTS, JUST A SHAME THERE ISN'T ONE IN EVERY ROOM. PARKING-ITS NOT THE HOTEL'S FAULT, BUT THERE'S NO NEARBY PARKING AND WHAT THERE IS IS EXTORTIONATELY PRICED, WE PAID £13 FOR AN OVERNIGHT STAY IN A CAR PARK THAT WAS A GOOD 15 MINUTES WALK AWAY

Staff were helpful and friendly Great location Restaurant is good for breakfast and dinner Room was spacious and bathroom was good Nice music playing in downstairs bar (not loud)

The shower needs a clean - there was some mould stains on the tiles, but overall hotel and room were very clean. We were in room ten on the third floor (stairs) it was okay as they helped with luggage but if you're not good on stairs request a room on lower floors.

Lovely room and facilities. Perfect for a short stay to explore Stratford. Location was perfect for breakfast and plenty of choice for eating out. I did not have breakfast at the hotel or meal so can't comment on the food.

Unfortunately, at 2.00 am, the day I was due to travel, I received an email to say my booking had been cancelled. This caused much stress in the middle of the night so it impaired my trip somewhat. I had to re book the room that I had originally booked. On arrival at the hotel, no apology or explanation was given. I called the hotel prior to travelling to check the booking was ok but was told it was Booking ,com's fault. Because of this, I would probably not stay here again, which is a shame as the hotel is lovely.

Location, ambience and real ale at the bar (even if not Hook Norton these days).

Had dinner and breakfast, dinner (cheeseburger) was very salty, breakfast (full English) felt pre-cooked and dry. Both were ok but could have been better. The Shakespeare quote in my room was incorrect (All the world’s a stage from ‘As You Like It’ has no “but”. The world’s but a stage from ‘The Merchant of Venice’ has no “all”. A nitpick I know but more rigour is expected in Stratford Upon Avon.😀

Nicely decorated, beautiful looking hotel in a quiet street opposite the Guildhall. Busy Sunday night but checked in quickly to a lovely room with King bed, hairdryer, fridge, TV, kettle and ensuite shower room. Nice restaurant and bonus of an unexpected free continental breakfast each morning. The staff were very friendly, efficient and patient.

The bed was a bit soft and obviously parking was not on site. However, Stratford is small, and you don't walk far to anything. Perhaps the staff could know about more parking options for those staying more than one night as the NCP is not the best option if you are in that category. Other car parks around the corner do cheaper parking for 72 hours (£14) which is better than the NCP rate even with the hotel's 50% discount. You will need to ask for the latter on check out.
